We dropped in to give Las Brisas a try on our way home from Door County. Environment is a bit unique but we came for food. My daughter got the quesadilla which was simple but spot on. My wife ordered the enchiladas (with roja sauce) and the were delicious. Not sure, but the tortillas tasted like they were home made. Even if not, she said they were some of the best she's had. I got the chicken burrito with verde sauce and it did not disappoint. It was one of the biggest and most delicious ones I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Do yourself a favor, ignore the exterior, and dive in for a very delicious meal provided by friendly staff! read more

Stopped in for lunch. Food was fantastic! I had a carnitas taco (Mexican style) and a chimichanga with rice and beans on side. Salsa with the chips had some good heat, but not too much. Food flavor and presentation were excellent. Can't say much for ambiance and interior design but I came for the food . I will be back again. read more

Ambiance: Casual Food: 5/5 Service: Good We randomly decided to try Las Brisas and I'm really glad we did. The restaurant is VERY unassuming from the outside, and inside has bright blue walls and fluorescent lighting. Before being underwhelmed by the decor or ambiance, take a seat for some complimentary chips and salsa. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words and their yelp page showed pictures of tacos that screamed words like delicious, mouth-watering, tasty and I was on board to try it. I ordered pastor, asada and crispy tripe tacos, Mexican style (with cilantro and onions). They do offer tacos American style with cheese, lettuce and sour cream as well but Mexican style is the way to go. Overall: Don't judge a book by it's cover, I'm glad we didn't! The chips were warm and tasty. The tacos were about $2.50 which is more expensive than other places but they are HUGE and they're STUFFED. The meats had great flavors and they probably had the best corn tortillas I've ever had. Normally I can eat 5 tacos easy but I was struggling after 3 here. I can't wait to go back! read more

While visiting Green Bay, we were looking for a quick place to grab lunch. After pursuing Yelp, we settled on Las Brisas. It's nestled in an unassuming block and offers no frills by way of decor. But if you're looking for good authentic Mexican food for a cheap price, this place delivers. We were quickly offered chips/dip upon entering. I went with traditional tacos and was satisfied with chicken, pork, and steak (topped with cilantro and lime). The server was friendly. OMG. I am 2nd generation Mexican from California. I heard rumors that you cant find good Mexican food outside of the southwest. WRONG. This place is the bomb! I had the best street tacos ever at this place. The made incredible fresh guacamole. The Chile relleno was amazing. But extra special was the salsa served with chips before the meal. Homemade chips and salsa that beats out some of my go to places in California. Beautifully seasoned food with generous portions. They even make queso fundido... omg... the chorizo they use is some of the best I have tasted. Want to know what great Mexican food tastes like... order here!! read more

Came for lunch ordered carnitas, pastor and barbacoa tacos....large and small pieces of fat in the carnitas, wife had pieces of fat in her carnitas burrito...I've had carnitas at a hundred Mexican restaurants with no fat....not good...what really got me mad is the amount they overcharged...menu price per taco is $2.50, I was charged $2.85, menu price for wife's burrito is $7.99, she was charged $8.99, plus tax....WHY???? I didn't expect to find any good Mexican food here in Green Bay. This place, however, had tacos as good (or better) than most of the places I'd eat in Santa Cruz, Stockton and Sacramento, California. The only thing I miss from CA is the tomatillo chile de arbol taco sauce, but these tacos don't even need it! Delicious! I can't wait to get a burrito next time. read more

My very first experience with having a bloody Mary with a beer in it, I absolutely fell in love! I'm not much of a drinker at all, but when I came in for food I noticed this special drink many people had on the tables, bloody Mary there's a drink that I will drink if I do, so I had to order one and I must say it was one of the bestAlcoholic beverages have ever had, I even went home and had to figure out how to create this concoction! Chips and salsa are good. Salsa is really yummy and fresh, not spicy (but they have a spicy version), but the chips were cold and tasted just a tad old. Dinner was DELICIOUS. One of us got the carne asada and the other had a dish I can't remember the name of but had carne asada, a cheese enchilada, rice and beans, and guac. Amazing, well seasoned, filling. The guac was incredible. The only down side was that the margarita was awful. I just ordered a lime margarita on the rocks and it tasted like lime kool aid. Like the kind you use to drink as a kid with a pound of sugar? Yeah, it was awful. I've never not finished a margarita and this was sadly, the first one. So disappointed. Maybe just need to pay a little more for a higher self one? Not sure, but will definitely not be ordering their house marg again. read more

I was looking for a Taco Tuesday place, low price with lots of food. While they don't have a special, the prices are good, the serving size is right. Come hungry because you will want to eat more once you have a bite. I had the carne asada, Al Pastor, and carnitas tacos. True taste of Mexico, first time I've felt like I was back home in California eating at the taco trucks. The salsa was homemade and awesome. I will be back to try other dishes. read more

Food was great! Service was great, until it was time for the check. Our server told us we could pay at the register, so I went to settle up. Got the total, was a tiny bit surprised by the amount, but gave her my card. She asked if I wanted a receipt and I said yes. Was heading back to the table to throw down some tip money while studying the receipt only to find the "automatic gratuity" I had only just paid. Something tells me a lot of people never see a receipt and still throw down cash on the table before leaving. I have been waiting to find an excellent Mexican restaurant- found it! Got burrito plate - huge portions and great prices.

They have a place in Sheboygan that has the same name. I'm thinking they are owned by the same folks. I got the tongue tacos. Give them a try they are awesome!! Not like you'd expect. The tongue is super tender and has a stronger beef flavor than steak. I got the taco dinner and an order of chicken tamales. The chicken in the tamales was a little dry, but nothing to complain about. The tacos made up for it. My girlfriend got the carne asada and I had to help her eat some of her meal too. The rice and beans were very flavorful. Everything was reasonably priced and the portions were good. Overall the food was very good and I'm sure the tamales will be more be moist at a different time of the day. I will go back when I'm craving Mexican food and in the area again. This will be my first pick for Mexican food in the area. read more

Absolutely delicious and authentic. I grew up in Chicago and missed the great soups. Well I finally found them. The kids loves the pork carnitas tacos. Next time I will get the al pastor tacos. Their chirps were fresh and soft. The shrimp soup had huge shrimp in them and was a meal for 1 1/2 people. We will be back. read more
