This chain used to be one of my fav taco spots. There's diff locations, mainly in the suburbs. I'd say they're better in other locations. The Jen's here are good but I've had better. They lacked a little flavor. You tasted more of the tortilla than the meat. Their cheese is amazing though. I usually never get cheese on my tacos but I do here. Well in regards to the ambiance this place feels more like a hole in the wall casual dining. I have been here before long ago and the Mexican food is nothing to do cartwheels about however it's not really bad food. I was looking for something different for dinner today in this cold winter Halloween of 2024 and this was it. Service was a bit slow but nothing terrible in regards to the wait and the manager Carmen talking to a customer over the phone about a problem. I am surprised no washroom to wash your hands even though it's a run down hole in the wall restaurant. Thus the 3 stars. I had ordered the taco dinner for Tuesday special and it comes including a fountain drink or horchata a milk beverage and your choice of meat between chicken or steak this is on Tuesdays I also ordered a medium size nacho chips and guacamole which I'm surprised the guacamole seems generous other than that it's a decent restaurant just wish they had a bathroom that's the three stars if you ever touch anything dirty hopefully you brought some hand sanitizer or some wipes read more

I was skeptic of coming here. It was Taco Tuesday and you all know I love me some steak tacos. The lady behind the counter was welcoming. A couple of weeks ago I hit this spot when I was in the area. I'm not really into Mexican cuisine but when it comes to tacos I must say it's always a great idea. I ordered 2 tacos for myself and they could handle my order very fast. I preferred tacos with chicken and fish and it was delicious. And of course I usually add some sauces to enrich the flavor. I can't say anything wrong about customer service because I was treated well and all the staff was very professional and responsive to my needs. And they do care about customer's safety and health. All employees followed all quarantine guidelines and wore masks and gloves. It remains to be seen what future can bring us but now it's important to be patient and aware of the fact that it won't last forever. These tacos make my life a bit happier and bring a sunshine to a a rainy day. Definitely gonna visit this place again in near future. read more

Was on the way to another restaurant that ended up being closed. Luckily this spot was open late night. Was empty when we pulled up, but got busy before we left. Steak was fresh and made to order. We recommend the red salsa and adding jalapeños to the burrito for a kick. Food was so good we forgot to take pictures. Horchata was refreshing. We went after 10pm on a Sunday. We have visited this location quite a few times and each time it seems as if the quality is slipping over our last three visits. The quesadilla dinner was supposed to have double rice but instead got rice and beans with cheese. It was supposed to have one quesadilla with steak but all three head steak making them extremely greasy. The taco dinner was supposed to have no cheese on them but on the side. There was cheese on the side but all three tacos were loaded with cheese which my wife is allergic to. The steak burrito was supposed to have no beans and had beans on it as well. Listen. I love this place. They have decent tacos and are open late. I understand you get what you pay for but this is getting out of hand. I've ordered from this place 3 times this year. Each time, they have messed up my order. I order steak tacos with only onions, cilantro, and avocado. And every dag nabbit time they put sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onion, and avocado. It really messes up an already average taco. The first time, I excused it. I thought they were busy per usual and are probably behind. I get it mistakes happen. The second time was an UberEats order so I blamed a switch up at the restaurant. But the last time I specifically said (IN PERSON) only cilantro, onions, and avocado. Yet again, ....... I am met with this unholy matrimony of ingredients you dare call a taco. I'm disappointed. Generously portion with lettuce tomato cheese sour cream and steak. I honestly found trouble folding because of how packed there tacos are and for $2.85 each ....well spent! Very hot and flavorful. I will definately be coming back again soon. Chips and salsa I honestly never make an order without chips and salsa. Chips are fresh and salsa is well portioned. It does however have a little bit more of a kick to it and I am well ok with that. It is very rare when I give 4 stars because I don't want to steer anyone wrong. But this place very much deserves 4. Well, it's definitely open and it has that going for it. If you have no place to go, this isn't the worst choice, but when any other option is available, you should probably go there. It's probably better than Taco Bell and in my book only barely slightly ahead of White Castle. I think they suffer from everyone else upping their game more than they themselves being horrible or declining. I'd love to see a chart of when most of the income pours in here, I'd bet it would be around 30 minutes before all the other Restaurants close and later. My introduction to this place was when there was one. It was one of the only places with a giant burrito and open late. It was glorious because it was rare. Now there's a multitude of other mexican places to choose from with a bit more flavor and a bit higher quality of ingredients. These now have a real "ya? Where else you gonna go?" feeling to them. For example, want a quesadilla? Ok here you go, a normal sized tortilla with a sprinkling of processed cheese... $3.35 with tax. Burritos with 3/4 filled with lettuce and the kind where all of the ingredients are jammed in 1/3 and you're pulling a super chewy piece of beef out of your mouth every 6-8 bites. There are some things I think are a better choice on the menu, vegetarian fajita burrito or nachos are good with loaded up guacamole because there's actual flavoring there, so give those a shot the next time you're out and have a single option. I highly doubt they have a reason to change stuff up, it's a pretty predictable business model and client base and I actually hope the owner that I met al those years ago at the original shop still has it and is making some tall cash while creating all those jobs and supporting the local economy. We each had a chicken King Burrito. I have to be honest...not that impressed. The chicken was cheap, fatty, and greasy. The puddle of grease left on the plate from the burrito confirmed that I was going to need to go running...one I stop feeling sick that is. The restaurant itself was a bit dirty (had to clean off our own place to sit. All in all, not the worst mexican I have had, but certainly not the best. I would give 2.5 stars.... Order this: Junior steak burrito, no beans, extra guacamole, extra cheese and a large horchata. Easily 2k in calories right there. Come hungry, leave with a brick in your stomach.
