This spot is a hidden gem. A bit hard to find. My Uber dropped me off in an alley. Note, you have to enter Gingerbread (Alley) from the beach side. It's a little side street courtyard with a collection of small businesses. Look for the pink surfboard! Tacos are on the pricey side, but they're well made. I tried a shrimp (spicy thai chilli sauce), Mahi Mahi (garlic butter white wine,) and rosemary potatoes. The tacos come with cheese and coleslaw. They give you a ticket and call you on a microphone when your order is up. There are a couple of picnic tables outside, but I took my food to go eat on the beach. You can tell the tortillas are really fresh. All the flavors went together really well. As a pescatarian, I loved the variety of options that were available to me. The food and service here were amazing, first time coming to this hidden gem. And from start to finish we were greeted and treated with kindness and great energy. Will definitely be coming back. The guacamole and salsa were perfect, just the right amount of spicy. The kids enjoyed the quesadillas, on plain and one with asada; and the kids loved it and they are picky eaters. And the Oreo shake was the highlight of the kids experience. Had some nachos, shrimp tacos and fish tacos; very delicious! I loved that they had glass bottle sodas; the taste is so much better. The day we went they had strawberry lemonade so delicious. We went back 2 days later and they had agua fresca with watermelon. I was instantly greeted by Ruby who was super sweet and helpful. Amazing customer service, took care of me and whipped up some amazing fare! To which, I rave -- The food is delicious! I got a fresh homemade strawberry lemonade Agua fresca (super refreshing), an asada quesadilla (grilled to perfection), and a hot, crisp churro enrobed in cinnamon sugar with a rich chocolate dipping sauce. The churro was the icing on the cake, the sweet treat that I needed (I have such a sweet tooth). They have so many good options -- tacos, quesadillas, coffee and more!! Pork belly was really good! It was very flavorful. The mahi mahi was a bit more bland, but it was still pretty good. The food took a little bit longer than expected, but it wasnt too bad of a wait. The vibe is nice, right next to the beach and theres tables to sit with umbrellas read more

I ordered a combo plate with the filet mignon and pork belly tacos, and after learning that the green juice was in a bottle and not fresh (it's still cold pressed so ) I switched it out for the watermelon lemon juice which was exactly what I needed for my walk from the Santa Monica Pier to Marina Del Rey. The mignon was my favorite though both were yummy. Personally I needed a little more salt on the pork belly to bring out the sweetness and savory-ness, but still refreshing. Not only are the workers rude I came with my family from out of town and saw "Best tacos awarded" these are less than average raw tortillas with very meh meats (mahi mahi and filet mignon both lacking in flavor) my parents ordered 4 tacos and never received them and when we kept going to check on order they accused us of receiving them when we hadn't and been very rude we asked for a refund and they said they'd make the tacos just for them to never call it out so we left.
