I paid 5 dollars for a large walking they literally gave me half a cup with no cheese. While visiting for a weekend at the lake we decided to check out this local joint. The reviews are right! It is worthy of the 4 stars, but I decided to give it 5. My hopes weren't high and they proved me wrong. The food was served hot and the flavor & texture of the meat was very authentic. We had the nachos and Burrito Deluxe. Our friends tried the Cheezy tacos, cheese quesadillas and Funny Taco. Even the picky eaters of the group finished every last bite! The prices are reasonable too. read more

We ordered for our crew at the Walgreens down the street, and took a little longer than expected to pick up our order. Upon arrival, the man working realized our order had been sitting for a while and offered to completely remake our order. It took him about 5 minutes to remake everything and it all was delicious. Is this authentic Mexican food? No... but is it a total guilty pleasure of mine YES!!! I have a love for Taco Bobs, I used to eat mediocre food from Taco Bell until I discovered Taco Bobs. I love their chicken nachos supreme, it isn't anything spectacular, just homemade chips, marinaded shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato, nacho cheese, shredded cheese and sour cream but for some reason it hits the spot every time. If you're not hungry enough for the full order of nachos they also make a mini version which is great for kids, seniors, or just a good snack. Plus, the staff is always polite and know me by first name, and this location has a drive thru. read more

It's as if my grandma was making Mexican food out of store bought stuff like Ortega and old el paso. Very mediocre and not at all authentic. My wife likes it quite a bit, but this isn't her review. I'd rather have taco bell, even though it's not authentic at least there's some variety. The menu here is small and uninspired. If you're not into spice or big into flavor, give it a try. read more

Not bad, it's a small step above Taco Bell, but the prices are outrageous for a fast food Mexican place! Los Amigos just around the corner is much cheaper, and is sit down with free chips and salsa, etc, a much more extensive menu and much better food, plus they serve alcohol, and service is very fast for a sit down restaurant. This place has the potential to be great if you are in a hurry, but the high prices just don't justify it. Just 2 tacos and a drink are close to $7, which is outrageous for fast food quality of food and service! Skip this place and go to Los Amigos or Taco Bell instead. read more

It's an average taco joint with average food. It's great for a quick bite after school or if you're passing it on the way somewhere, but I wouldn't go out of my way just to go there. There is only one thing you should get there (they have plenty of options but this is their specialty) is the funny taco. It has a soft outer tortilla, cheese to glue the inner hard shell, then normal taco innards. Best of both soft and hard shell taco worlds. They're tortilla chips are also pretty good. read more

I've given this Taco Bob's so many chances to redeem themselves but they continue to mess up or forget things in my order. I'm talking like 90% of the time (and this is with going there around 15 + times). I've called and complained many times. Some of the staff is nice. However, when I had a mistake with my order, I was treated very badly. Don't misunderstand, this was not a young inexperienced worker - this was the manager. As for the food . . . The menu said pinto beans The reality was watery flavorless refried? beans. They forgot the tomatoes and if there was any sour cream, I couldn't find it. I get that this is fast food, but they don't even make their own guacamole. Their service is slow, the cookies were incredibly stale, and the fountain pop wasn't working. I found the restaurant clean, the staff friendly, and the service quick. Sadly, the food was mostly tasteless. I did appreciate the serving sizes and real chunks of chicken, so I stuck with 4 stars. Several years ago, (when Centre Street was the only location) I would have given Taco Bob's 4-5 stars, but quality seems to have declined over the years. The meat just doesn't seem fresh anymore, and seems to have lost it's flavor. A lot of times I will receive either stale or soggy shells. This used to be a regular lunch spot for me, but I haven't been there in probably over a year.
