This location is one of the few "Live Mas Cafe" but I've never tried any of their speciality exclusive menu. Maybe one day I will try their coffee or drinks because they sound so good, but I cannot justify that the price is basically the same as a good speciality coffee shop in San Diego. Was surprised at this fancy Taco Bell that was more of a cafe/club vibe! Super loud, so don't come here if you want a quiet experience. I enjoyed the fun environment. Came here for some cheap, convenient, normal expectation tacos and was pleasantly surprised. This location is clean staff were very friendly. This is now themed like the Live Mas Cafe style that is starting to be implemented across Southern California. It really feels like going to a completely different restaurant than Taco Bell. For some people that might be better. It definitely feels like a hip coffee shop right now if you're into that. It was very busy when I went inside, which maybe means the change is being met with success. I enjoyed the decor inside. The lavender wallpaper and hanging lights were charming and the booths looked super cozy. That being said, this place was super LOUD! It felt like being in a club with the music blasting. It was very jarring and there was no seat in the restaurant that dampened the sound in the least. I had to sit outside as the cars drove by so I couldn't really even enjoy the ambiance they were going for and for that reason, this place is kind of a bust. I am one of those folk out there with hearing issues and sound sensitivity so if you're like me, I'd recommend not coming inside. It wasn't just the one song playing. It was constant. Very very loud. I'm not sure if this is a new business practice or not but I definitely miss the old Taco Bell with its chill atmosphere. I also prefer soda machines where I can get a refill not expensive drizzle coffees, which I can just get at Starbucks instead. I feel like Taco Bell doesn't understand its laid back brand with this change, or maybe they are just trying something new. The food, as always, was yummy and comforting but the vibe was just so different for me and not in a great way. We used to like this location a lot but now it is awful. The beans are cold. The tortillas are cold. The staff was friendly but the food was not up to par. they need to step up their kitchen management. And my daughter used to love five layer beef burrito but did not enjoy i again. We came a few time in the last month and maybe thought they had an off day but this has been consistently bad now 3x in a row. We love Taco Bell and don't like when you get a bad location - hope they step it up because we eat Taco Bell frequently. Food needs to be warm/hot when served. Not cold beans it's gross. read more

I appear to have gotten cyclospora from this taco bell. Lettuce in my taco supreme. I had watery diarrhea 2 days after eating here, took immodium, it came back 7 days later (just like cyclospora), took immodium again along with probiotics. I am still having to take probiotics. I went and got tested and no longer have any parasites, but it destroyed my GI track which I'm still trying to repair with colostrum and probiotics. Why didn't taco bell pull their lettuce and just not use it when they knew they were suspected of getting people ill in Michigan? I didn't know they were suspected at that point, but they knew. Get some ethics..... I don't think I'll ever trust a taco bell again.... meaning that was probably my last taco supreme. This used to be our favorite Taco Bell, but we continue to have problems dining in. The remodel has made things worse The place is clean enough and the staff is nice, but they are completely overwhelmed with orders. Hard to talk to anyone. I ordered on the Kiosk for dine-in when there wasn't many diners, but never got food after 20 min. I asked about it and person disappeared into back. After 40 min, still no food. I spotted what looked like what could be my order on their shelves and asked someone else if they could read the labels. My food! It was pretty cold, but ate in anyway. Really don't want to come back. Poway location is worse. Same thing. We ordered separately and my companion never got food. They did not have order anymore. They are able to take and receive orders faster than they can dish them out. read more

I never really liked taco bell, but this location didnt seem very busy at all. The drive thru is sort of small, but at least they are open pretty late. It was quick in and out! The chicken quesadilla was pretty good and their hard shell tacos are still pretty delish. Met up hubby here for lunch and this one location seems like a pretty hip club where you're getting your Taco Bell eats on. Service is quick, accurate and nice. My only complaint is how loud they played the music. It was so loud we can barely hear the employees calling out orders. Another thing is that I wish we were able to refill our own drinks so we wouldn't have to keep bothering employees when they could be working on someone's order. I'll go high with a 3-star rating, but I'm never coming back here again. The good: I actually like the new interior design. Good colors, and I get what they're trying to do, turn it into a drink bar or something. Also, the menu system is clearly an attempt to automate and do away with employees. I'm surprisingly good with that *as long as it works*. One vertical screen menu at the "Live Mas" bar claimed there was a dragonfruit strawberry refresher. That was exactly the drink I was sent here to get, and any food we got was kind of incidental to that. When I tried to order it, it wasn't on the menu. It took a few minutes to flag down an employee, then a few minutes until he could help. While I appreciate their professionalism and help, it seems Taco Bell will advertise for things that their particular store doesn't stock. You can't blame the employees for that, this is a management issue. If it's not going to be in the store, take it off the menu. No complaints since the menu is a screen not a permanently posted sign. If that menu's on a screen then you can edit the picture file and remove it. It's too easy, but they won't do it. Also bad: Employees didn't call out names. They'd put the order on the rack ( behind the counter ) and either say nothing, or mumble while walking away. No eye contact, no attempt to clearly enunciate a name, just toss it on the rack and walk away. A few of us customers exchanged glances and wondered if that was our food. Eventually we had to get a bit pushy and flag down an employee which was not easy, they were doing their best to not make eye contact with us. Yes, that was my food that had been on the rack for close to ten minutes. No attempt to call, and I was watching to be sure I didn't miss it. This location has protected it's transphobic staff for years . I have voiced my concerns to corporate but they are not willing to fire or discipline anyone who is rude to transgender guests. This is the tacobell I grew up in and im no longer going. There is a better tacobell in Poway that has never been rude to me. If you're transgender the staff at Carmel Mt will misgender and mock you. Don't bother complaining to the manager, the staff will lie and tell you they are. If you do speak with someone you'll get an insincere apology. I freely admit that I have not walked into a Taco Bell for very long time, but really wanted to have their crunchy Taco for nostalgic reasons during the holiday season. Me being a veteran and my eyes not being so good and really appreciating customer facing experiences in terms of just being able to walk in order pay cash and leave is what the expectation was however, I was confronted by no one welcomed by no one screens to touch and into tap with lights and no voice to confirm back in on task. Not a great experience for me. If Taco Bell chooses to go this route across the corporation, I would guarantee losing 20% of sales within the next two years across-the-board. We came in and it was very crowded and went to order on the kiosk . After ordering for all of us the kiosk crashed and we couldn't finish paying for our food. We went to the front to finish ordering and restart but the girl looked like she had no idea how to help and selected our orders on her register then she tells us that they only accept cash at the register. would have been nice to know at beginning.! Date of visit: May 29, 2022 When you're a member of Taco Bell Rewards, and you have a free Mexican Pizza on your account(!), but the Taco Bell location near your place is out of this popular menu item, what do you do? You find the next closest location that does have it in stock - in my case, the Carmel Mountain Ranch one - and order it before it goes out of stock nationwide... which is what happened yesterday, so good thing I got mine. I suppose I had the Mexican Pizza hyped up in my head, as after I received it (along with a large drink and a Crunchy Taco Supreme - i don't like to be that guy that shows up only for the freebies), it was just... ok. While the tostada shells, ground beef, refried beans, cheese and sauce that make up the Mexican Pizza hit the spot, I hoping for a bit more flavor with it. But then again, you really can't go wrong with Dolly Parton's favorite Taco Bell order, so there's that. The Crunchy Taco Supreme was a bit too crunchy, what with the lettuce being almost frozen.
