HOWEVER, that other place is BYOB, and if you want to have an alcoholic beverage, for example, a margarita, you'll need to bring your own tequila. Tacos El Tio is a full-service Mexican restaurant that offers well-crafted beverages alongside delicious food. Now, to the specifics... TET has lots of parking. The inside is large, clean, and offers plenty of comfortable seating. You might prefer a table or booth that's on the far side of the dining room, well away from the bar area with its speakers and any loud conversations. Our server, Julie, was attentive, efficient, and delightful. They offer a range of margaritas, from specialty concoctions to their margaritas-on-tap. The on-tap version is about half the cost of the concocted version and, in my opinion, a far better value. As for food, all we tried, all we had to try, was their Los Nachos El Tio. That was a plate, heaped high with corn tortillas, layered with nacho stuff, along with generous portions of beef, chicken, and chorizo. And, unlike the nachos offered by some places, the good stuff wasn't merely a topping; it was interspersed with chips from top to bottom. And it was enough that even though we started off hungry, and even though it was delicious, my wife and I couldn't finish it. The only thing we'll do at our next visit is leave out the chorizo; it was our least favorite of the three proteins. TLDR: Sit somewhere far from the bar, get the least expensive margaritas, order the nachos (maybe without the chorizo), and leave your tequila at home.

Both dishes were loaded with delicious black beans, tasty chips with a green spicy sauce , amazing over medium eggs and the best part was the proteins. Steak was good and chicken was great. The grocery has a take out window with about 3 stools to sit and eat. Pinatas hanging from the ceiling, statues of Mother Mary displayed for sale, pork rinds, baked goods, assortment of sauces, cheese and mole, etc. This place is legit! The first time I came I just grabbed some empanadas which were cooked to order. It was hot and delicious, 3 for 7 bucks and my belly was happy. The second time I came, I got some birria tacos and tamales, bistek and empanadas. It truly reminded me of Mexico. My family inhaled everything. We plan on coming back to eat outside (they have benches right by the parking lot) with a bottle of Jarritos soda.

I only browsed the menu briefly, but I knew when I saw huaraches and tlayuda it was going be a hit! There's nothing like authentic Mexican. While I wanted to try a little bit of everything, I'm only one girl and I was traveling solo, so I ordered steak nachos, an al pastor torta, and a single lengua taco. The way I inhaled those nachos, the roof of my mouth be damned! They were so simple, just black refried beans, meat, queso fresco and some pickled veg, yet so delicious. The lengua taco had more of a shredded consistency than the tender chunks I'm used to, but the flavor was yummy and the torta was still great 3 days later. 10/10 would recommend!
