Came here for dinner over the weekend and this will now be a staple for me when in AC. Honestly way better than the typical touristy food you get from the casinos and boardwalk. The price is amazing, quality is outstanding, extremely authentic and service was great. A very small restaurant with maybe 3-4 tables but everything is very tight and a bit hot. No AC but one fan. My bf and I stopped by and we were the only ones dining inside, but the door constantly opened with customers picking up food. Our waitress was the friendliest and cutest person ever. Very happy and loved her job. This restaurant does not come with complimentary chips and salsa and the food (besides entrees) do not come with sides. However, the taste and quality is out of this world and so worth it! We ordered shrimp tacos, which came with 3pieces and extremely fresh. We also shared an order of the original tlayuda and chose mixed meat since the waitress recommended it. Very heavy and filling. Can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu! read more

This must be the best Mexican in town! When I was browsing the map for things to do, see, eat, near my hotel in AC. It had good reviews and Google suggested I might like it based on places I've been to here in Baltimore. So, you know I had to cross reference on Yelp, my most trusted source of recommendations. Yelp said, yes ma'am and I said say less. After some rooftop drinks at Vue bar, I stopped in for takeout. I only browsed the menu briefly, but I knew when I saw huaraches and tlayuda it was going be a hit! There's nothing like authentic Mexican. While I wanted to try a little bit of everything, I'm only one girl and I was traveling solo, so I ordered steak nachos, an al pastor torta, and a single lengua taco. The way I inhaled those nachos, the roof of my mouth be damned! They were so simple, just black refried beans, meat, queso fresco and some pickled veg, yet so delicious. The lengua taco had more of a shredded consistency than the tender chunks I'm used to, but the flavor was yummy and the torta was still great 3 days later. 10/10 would recommend! read more

There is no way I can, in my right mind, rank this any lower than 5 stars. This is a hole in the wall authentic Mexican place that any Yelper would love. This is why you come to Yelp, for places like this. Just brilliant food! Not much atmosphere with only a few tables so the review is mostly for the food. Service was also good but only one working so they do their best. Came here twice in a two day span because it was so good. My whole family liked everything about their meal both days. Cheap, hot, made to order, large portions. What's not to love. Hot tip: this is a BYOB place and there is a liquor store right across the street. What's not to love! Yelpers, you gotta try this spot! So first let me tell you I grew up in Texas and have been eating authentic Mexican food my entire life. I expected this to be your typical "New Jersey Mexican" food. Boy was I surprised!!! We ordered the beef nachos, bistek ala mexicana and the carne asada. The nachos used black beans and real Mexican cheese not the typical yellow cheese used on most nachos. The bistek ala mexicana was some of the best I've ever had. The carne asada was well seasoned. My buddy agreed with me that this was some of the best Mexican food we've had. UNREAL. We came in while on a family trip to Atlantic City. We did not realize that it wasn't a huge dining place more of a take out but the lovely family had NO problem accommodating our family of 7 for a dine in. The food was absolutely amazing and I can only hope they can gain popularity!!!! Unfortunately they happen to be in a rough street which is not their fault at all. AGAIN the food is un-f*cking real. I can't put into words how great this place is! I could just tell from walking in the restaurant that the food was about to smack (be good)! And it did! Nachos... Amazing! My first visit was about a month ago. Ordered Al Pastor Nachos. Generous portion of lean bbq bork, homemade chips, and excellent cheese and toppings. My only complaint is they prepare the pork with pineapple and I prefer it without the sweetness. Returned today and ordered the Al Pastor burrito sans pineapple. This beauty was loaded with the perfectly seasoned and cooked bbq pork. The meat to rice, beans etc. was just right. They include guacamole on the side along with two different salsas. It was so filling and satisfying that it served as my complete dinner. I lived in San francisco for many years. There must be nearly one hundred tacquerias in that city and I tried dozens of them. NONE of them matched up with El Rincon. I will never go anywhere else. Note: limited seating so I did take out both times. Food stayed hot for my ride back to Absecon. read more

I decided to come here for dinner yesterday night and let me tell you the food was amazing. My girlfriend and I got the chicken nachos , rice and the Birria tacos. The service was also very good and the ambience was great. This place has become one of our favorite spots in Atlantic City. Best Mexican food I have ever tasted. I can't see myself going anywhere else. I got lucky running into the owner when he was buying the meat otherwise I don't think I would have discovered the place. Tripe tacos are to die for. I know I know its a cows stomach but trust me they are off the hook. The Barbacoa tacos kick some serious butt as well. The green Enchilada sauce was outstanding as were the refried black beans. Its a BYOB which is always cool. Easy parking across the street with the meters. Its not about service here its all about the incredible flavors the lady in the back puts out. You must try this place just please stay out of my way if at all possible as I will be here a lot! Pure definition of a diamond in the rough! From the outside, the bright colors of the front walls and door catch the eye, but when you walk in you might get the inkling to turn back out. Only three little rinky dinky tables, and then a huge wall that separates the "dining" area from the "kitchen"! From the moment we sat down hospitality was pleasant and ready to take your tastebuds for a ride! We started with your standard guac and chips but there was nothing standard, the guac was perfect and they also brought this spicy orange sauce that really kicked the guac up a few notches! I had the chicken chimichanga, and my boyfriend had the tacos mix plate! We basically rolled ourselves out of there, we could not put our forks down!!! Honduran food is definitely different from the rest of Latin America. Its more robust in flavor, and selection. Very similar to the food of Northern Spain.
