Burrito Supreme that looks like someone had a loose BM.
    Cathy F.

Taco Supreme was 'wet', the lettuce was watered down or something. Cheese, what cheese? My Burrito Supreme was 90% beans, no sour cream, hardly any beef, onion or cheese. The outside of it had grease and tomato chunks stuck to it. The Diet Pepsi was not mixed correctly. Then they have a boom box playing Latin/Hispanic music loudly and they have the piped in music playing loud out in the dining area. This experience totally sucked!!! 10 minutes later and no one has cleaned the table I was sitting at.

The dine-in breakfast service was fast, and somewhat friendly. My breakfast burrito was ready in about two minutes, and tasted great. The dining area was clean, and fairly new, with contemporary background music. A-OK.

    Waffle Taco

I took one for the team and tried the waffle taco! Overall this Taco Bell is a good location. The staff is almost always friendly and very nice. They keep the line moving well. They are fantastic at getting the orders right. If the parent company didn't use such cheap product this would be a better rating. They are now serving breakfast. Taco Bell could have really hit it out of the park with their breakfast offerings. What could be better than a waffle, eggs, cheese, and meat of choice all wrapped into a tidy handheld on the go option? Sadly, the waffle taco fails. Although I am not suppose to be eating this stuff, I had to try one. The two bites I took were enough. Syrup comes on the side. This is not good for an on the go breakfast. They should have built the waffle with the syrup cooked into it like the McGriddle. The bacon is not fresh cooked. It is real bacon bits, but not good quality. Very chewy. The fact that they don't bother throwing some bacon in the microwave and cooking it and then chopping it up, or slapping it on a griddle makes me wonder if the eggs are delivered already cooked also. The waffle and bacon overwhelmed the egg so I really can not tell for sure. I will stop and give the other breakfast items a try sometime in the future. Especially if they keep the absolutely delightful drive through gentleman who I am kicking myself for not remembering his name and I can not find my receipt. I am pretty sure it started with an "M." He is fabulous, has a bit of sass, and just friendly as can be. As I said earlier this store does well at hiring good people. This hire though will be what makes their breakfast business, not the food.

    Nasty dark hair on food

Had a dark hair on my food and totally ruined my lunch. This was on my Mexican pizza and I noticed after two bites. Disgusted. Won't ever come back to this location. Waste of $6. Threw whole order in trash after. Hair is in the pic I posted.

I can get 2 meals out of it. It's stuffed with steak, shrimp, and other veggies and such. I try to get something else but then I always can't resist getting it! I am going to have to force myself to explore the menu more. I have done Taco Tuesday and gotten several tacos. There's many options. I'm usually attracted to the street taco style but I have also gotten the gringo style and it is very good too! I love the birria and pastor. I got chicken and added black beans, yummy! You can't go wrong and they are $1 off each on Tuesday. I need to do Burrito Monday!! Everyone is always very nice when I pick up my order. I use the app and it's so easy! The restaurant is always clean either plenty of seats. They have some cool merch too! I need a tshirt and cap! I'm a big fan of Tiki Taco which o discovered thanks to Yelp!

One of the best Quesadilla's we have had. Also, they have 4 different sauces to pick from. I got the medium. It was good Not sure what took us so long to try this place, however glad we finally have. Respectfully, nothing was fundamentally wrong with the food, but it didn't distinguish itself. I'd eat there again if nearby, but wouldn't travel for it. Service was good for ordering and receiving time. From order to table was approximately 10 minutes which is exceptional considering the quantity of food ordered. The tables needed to be wiped down, and the table service was pretty much non-existent. You order your food at a register, seat yourself and that's that. No waitress or water; you have to buy bottled water. Price point was ~$65 for the taco platter and another ~$10 for the quesabirria tacos. This filled up the family of 4 with leftovers. There is a condiments / salsa bar but customers ran through it and there was mixed food between all the containers. The pickled red onion has their own kick to it which I enjoyed and their salsas/hot sauces are good. The decor is pretty straightforward, tables and chairs, with typical music you'd expect from other Mexican restaurants. Futbol on the TV's and old movies on others. There is a chef at the opposite end of where you order your food, hats off to that man he was very receptive and worked very hard. He helped with getting our table wiped down, our waters, and to go stuff for our leftovers, if he sees this, I want him to know I appreciated his efforts. This review is for my first time experience in Overland Park. I do not know if this is normal or because it was a Sunday that this is what the experience is but I will say, If they offered free water, had a busser, and kept the place more tidy it easily would elevate the rating.

Our food had clearly been sitting for a bit because the queso had started to congeal and some chips were already soggy when they hit the table. There was enough queso, but the other toppings were pretty sparse. The picture attached is my plate with no protein and extra pico and sour cream, which cost 30 cents each. Also note the large chunk of tomato in the pico- about an inch long and an inch wide. My husband had a similar chunk in his. He got his with brisket, and there wasn't a ton of tha either. It IS a large portion of chips and an acceptable amount of queso, but in general the dish was vastly overpriced. As always, the people were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean, but the nachos are a big no from us. Edit: I have bumped my review up from two stars to four. Torchy's reached out to us and DID make it right. While we had a bad experience, they took action to make it up to us, and that deserves to be commended! We do love Torchy's and will be back. That said, the fried avocado is amazing. I'm obsessed with avocados and I've honestly never seen fried avocado offered like that before. I couldn't handle it on a taco with all the heat of sauces and pico, but on its own it was still super delicious and worth ordering. None of the other sauces I could try ended up working for me either, so I felt pretty limited unless I went kids menu. The restaurant itself wasn't too busy and it was pretty clean, but the staff seemed like they didn't really want to be there. When I asked questions to try to work around my diet limits, they weren't very willing to explain options. If you love spice, you'll probably have a great time here. If you're heat sensitive or have dietary limits, it might be a rough pick. If you like avocado, try that fried avocado!
