This is kind of a mixed review because the food was pretty good, but the ambiance felt really cold, dark and uninviting. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly by the host. There were only a few other people in the restaurant, which was a bit surprising for a weekend at dinner time. Our waiter came over and got our order fairly quickly. I ordered steak fajitas and my wife got the beef flautas. The food was good and the presentation was spot on. Our waiter was pretty decent, I could have used a refill of my beverage a little quicker. The restaurant itself was very dark and not the usual bright and festive, like many other Mexican restaurants. I feel like they need to turn on more lights and maybe liven the place up a bit. Overall, I give the food a 4 out of 5. Service was a 3.5 and the ambiance was a 2 out of 5. We will definitely give them a second shot, hopefully they will liven up a bit.

The chicken tacos were SO bland. I tried adding more lime, the grilled onions, radishes, both the red and green salsas, and even rice and beans but nothing could rescue the flat flavor of nothingness every time I bit into my tacos. My red salsa that came with my plate was genuinely lame, it had hints of Tabasco sauce? Like they were trying to make it so spicy without any actual depth or flavor. I expected more from this place. I did try my friends steak from his taco and it was a bit more flavorful, so perhaps I got the wrong meat. Their employees were very nice and service wasn't too long, restaurant clean but limited seating! I would only return here to try the California burrito. I can find similar prices and great quality elsewhere.

Chalupa was not what I thought it was going to be basically it's a thin tortilla with a bunch of toppings piled on top of it that you just basically eat off of it with a fork. You can't pick it up and hold it as it's too heavy and the tortilla sits in sauce and other sides that then make it fall apart. My wife said her vegetable fajita was pretty good as well. The beans and rice were very average, not much flavor. Overall, the meal was decent nothing great nothing terrible just good. We may come back sometime as it is a nice place, the ambience is nice and the staff was great. But the food was nothing special aside from the beef taco that was delicious.
