While traveling through the area, my coworker and I decided to stop in at El Parral for lunch. When…read morewe walked in, the restaurant had a lively ambiance about it. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table. We immediately were served with the typical chips and salsa. The chips were warm and crispy, which I would say is perfectly cooked! The salsa unfortunately was more on the runny side for my liking. It was not a bad salsa just personally not for me. I ordered the Pollo Con Chorizo. The serving size for what you pay is perfect. The chicken and rice were a little more on the overcooked side of things, but the cheese dip on top assisted making it decent meal. Overall, if you are looking for a decent Mexican restaurant I would recommend El Parral. I have definitely had better but also have had way worse.

I found it incredibly sweet and not what I had hoped for. The natural flavors were all lost by the syrupy sauce. It was disappointing. The chips and salsa was fresh, which I found welcoming and had set me with higher expectations in the beginning. Service was kind and helpful. Again, maybe I just should have ordered something else.

I haven't ate here in YEARS... so I really thought with it just reopening some months back, I'd be getting some good food. Absolutely not ! It's crazy that they still ask you to pull to the side soon as you order. They did that over 15 years ago! Confused! My grilled shrimp that I specifically said with waffle fries came with rice. I was told that's how it comes BUT , it's definitely not what's on the screen. It even shows grilled shrimp and waffle fries . They were the size of salad shrimp. A waste of money. I ended up getting fried shrimp in which they put ON TOP of the rice when they fixed my order AND it made the shrimp now soggy. On one order, i got a side of green beans . They literally only gave like 5. A toddler wouldn't get full. I got another combo of chicken and waffle fries and literally trashed it just by looking at it . My grandma NOR my nephew who eats EVERYTHING didn't want it. My husband went back days later to give it another try and ended up getting sick off the food .

Those are acceptable numbers in my opinion. However last time I was there there was a sign in the window that says open til 1 am. So I went through the drive through at 12:31 AM to be told they dont have any beef, nothing to make quesedillas with and that they close in half an hour and I shouldn't expect them to be have anything but crunchy chicken tacos. Again the lady that took over for their dumbass AI system popped in to make me feel like a moron for daring to visit this business during business hours. Well she sure succeeded. I do feel like a dumbass for going there. I understand closing that early for fine dining, and I even understand running out of food at odd hours of the night(hours which you told me you were open by the way) but belittling me for coming buy during hours you advertised is pathetic. It's fast food, make last call 12:50 if you want, id get that. but if your last call is 12:30, then that is what your hours are. Not 1 am. garbage location with soda machine constantly down, no one at the counter to help you when you paid via the kiosk and your food hasn't arrived after 30 minutes. I've ignored the failures of this location for too long. Corporate needs to shut down this branch because it sullies your brand. Every associate there should be fired and start from scratch if you wont shut it down, this location might be one of the worst in the country.
