So it's a slow day at this place and for some reason the guy making the food back there tells me after about 4min of them just trying not to look at me while I see their heads up menu "I'll be right there unless you want to use the kiosk!" Very rude and I guess they don't want to deal with customers that end up bringing this store business which in the end keeps them employed. They just want people to use kiosks and not bother them even though they're extremely slow. Wow. What a horrible experience!!! My partner and I ordered food through drive through and pull to the side and eat our dinner. My girlfriend gagged and spit her food out. It was hot. The person in the dining room told us to go to drive through. Lol. Really? Ok. But there's cones blocking us. Without any help from the employees in the store. We moved the cones and did what we were told to do. When we finally got to a manager. She was rude and yelled at us about running over her cones. I stopped by in the morning today to pick up a bacon crunch wrap when I noticed the "supervisor" yelling at cashier in a very degrading way. I asked the gentleman working what her name was and he said that was Maria the supervisor. I don't know who she thinks she is, but no employees should be talked to that way. She was speaking Spanish in a very unprofessional way. Plenty of us understand Spanish here in La Quinta and she's lucky I haven't been able to go back yet. Alright. Let's preface this with, they USUALLY get the food item part of the order correct. Probably about 90% of the time. The food itself is just like any other Taco Bell, it is fairly consistent, however the previous visit they didn't put any tomato on my Taco Supremes. I didn't ask them to skip the tomato, so either they screwed up, or they ran out. And if they ran out, they should TELL us they ran out so we can decide if we want the item or not. Last time they asked me if I wanted any hot sauce like normal. So, "Fire Sauce"=/="Mild Sauce". And I only received a bunch of mild sauce. Today, they asked me if I wanted any hot sauce like usual. "Fire sauce"=/=NO SAUCE AT ALL. If they're not going to give us what we ask for, why even bother asking us in the first place? It makes me wonder about the competence of the people working on the order. I think I will just go to Del Taco for a while until I forget about this Taco Bell's location's fuck ups. I'm going to be as clear and specific as possible on this... I hardly EVER do any kind of reviews but based upon our experience with this Taco Bell location (La Quinta) was considerably unacceptable. My friend orders CCKN SND TAC BX Med Pepsi, The wife has the Chlpa Crving Bx Med Mango Fiesta and I got the CRAVINGS PACK. I asked my friend (on driver side) to ask the girl what kind of fountain drinks do they have and as soon as he asked she answered "the selections are in front of you from the speaker" my friend replies "it's hard to see because the selections are so small that's why I asked" she replies with "we have Pepsi and soda" I got disappointed she couldn't answer a simple question that Taco Bell has more then Pepsi and soda. So we ended our order with hot sauce packets of all kinds. We drive around to the window. My friend pays, we receive our food and I check mines if I got my hot sauce packets, unfortunately none was found. My friend and his wife got theirs but none for me so I asked the cashier (Monique Z) from my side (passenger seat) if I may have some hot sauce packets (mind you the window was open and I did ask vocally yet politely trying to understand maybe she was just having a bad night). She did not answer back so I asked my friend to ask because he was closer to the window. As soon as he did she says "it's in one of the boxes" I quickly respond "it's not in mines" she repeats "it's in one of the boxes" I was becoming very frustrated yet I kept my cool and asked politely again "may I please have hot sauce packets for me?" My friend added "we are going separate ways after this that's why we are asking for extra hot sauce packets" she immediately rolls her eyes at us, walks away, comes back with a small paper bag with a small hand full of sauce packets and I said to her leaning my head towards the window hoping she'd hear me and said "thank you" we drove off, checked the small paper bag only to find mild sauce packets and we all asked all kinds as in a little of everything. The wife opened her box to find all kinds of hot sauce packets she was kind to share some of the hotter hot sauce packets that I love. My main issue is it that hard to answer simple questions and deliver customer service? Especially when customers are being polite? I get there will always be difficult individuals to endure and meet their needs however... if you can't separate life while at work... incapable of being patient then you do not belong in the service industry and the worst part is I am a regular or at least I WAS when I was going through hard times as a homeless man and the manager he was so kind that at times he even bought me food for the only reason he saw me trying to improve and WAS actually working my ass off to get back on my feet (from previous unfortunate events during the late pandemic) I was working at Sands Spa and Hotel as a chef at the time now I moved up to a different work place that I am very happy and can cook with passion. It was about 5 pm.
