I paid $75 in food and they went and locked the bathroom and refused to let me pee. When I pay $75 that is so rude and disrespectful.

Went there on Saturday (06/26), at 10:30 am. Yelp said they were open but when I pulled in the drive through, I sat there for a good 4 minutes before I drove to the window/ there were 3 other cars behind me. Taco Bell - Fast Food Near Me - Kings Beach, California

This is the only franchise fast food location located in the downtown of Kings beach. Every time I come to Tahoe my friends always have a craving for Taco Bell and this is where we go. The prices are reasonable, and you can also order Slushies here. There isn't much parking for this location however if you're walking around downtown you can feel free to park at the beach location then walk over. The seating is very limited in this location however you can always take it to go and walk to the beach or the nearby playground to consume your food there. Overall I think the location needs some tidying up, the location isn't as clean as you want it to be. read more

Okay, so I live in a town that only has ONE fast-food restaurant, a Subway's. The next nearest fast-food restaurant is this Taco Bell, which is a 15-minute drive from my house. Good thing, because only if I am starving and happen to be passing by this place and my blood sugar is dropping and I'm not thinking properly and I only have a few bucks in my pocket do I come here. I know an ex-owner of several Wendy's franchises who told me that Taco Bell would come by every so often and pick up all the meat that had spoiled. I can get over the fact that this is a Taco Bell "Express" meaning they have half a menu, which does NOT include the most delicious Taco Bell item ever, the chalupa (are you serious?). What I can't get over is how obnoxious the two women working here were. There were three of us, all of whom ordered a meal with a drink. Something was off with the fountain soda machine which was causing it to produce the most disgusting soda ever. Not like when one kind of soda has run out of syrup and it's only spitting out carbonated water. But like when something makes every single kind of soda taste horrible (we tried them all). When I told the women working that something was up, they totally gave us the 'tude. The first woman said, "sorry, that's all we have." Cashiers are very friendly (some of the only cashiers in the fast-food industry that smile constantly!), and the cooks make your order when you order it (not ahead of time!) which means the food it HOT! Let's face it. I'm not a "local" by any means. But I do visit the entire Tahoe area often. Winter as well as in the summer. A regular for the last 30 years. What does this have to do with Taco Bell? Probably not a lot to many of the locals. But to me and some folks from the greater SF Bay Area, it might make more sense. Why do I give North Shore Taco Bell, "NSTB" such high rankings? Because it does what it does perfectly. It does not have gourmet Mexican food. When I walk inside I don't feel like i'm in a hacienda. I can't even be certain that the menu has one Hispanic word. (oops! Even the term Hispanic can be questioned) But I don't go to Taco Bell because I want a stamp on my passport. I go there to get six Taco Supremes or a Pintos and Cheese with a scoop of ground beef. And of course, a Pepsi and a fist full of Hot sauce. Then I drive my Nissan Armada to the parking lot across the street, spool up Pandora on my Android and mack out on the cheap grub while staring out across the magical Lake Tahoe. Perfect! And this past weekend of decent snow boarding at Diamond Peak, all I wanted was some tacos to soothe my battered old body. Taco Bell is Taco Bell. Nothing more. If you want gourmet then look else where. But your North Shore gourmet Mexican food will never be a good as the taquerias in the San Francisco Mission District. But that isn't a fair comparison. I encountered the most rudest and racist worker here. My nieces and I were on our way to sand harbor for the day. We saw that taco bell by kings Beach had people going in and out so I asked if the girls wanted to check if it was open. We walked up to the front door as a white older bald man closed the door and locked us out. I asked through the window if they were open. Instead of saying "I'm sorry, we aren't opened yet" he turned around and said "we aren't open, stupid dumbass!". I was so dumbfounded it threw me back. I said "wow, you're rude! I went to Taco Bell today. The line was at the door. Three customers were verbally abusive to the employees and they remained fast and professional. I got my food in the expected time, and it was well done. The proportions were perfect, and it was well wrapped. Yelpers, please understand something: this is a Taco Bell Express. In reading the other reviews, it seems that customers forget they are entering a Taco Bell. If you don't like the food, don't go! As for this particular location, it is sandwiched into a tight spot with very little signage. Given it's size, it cannot support the deep fryers needed for the Chalupa (sad, but true). However, with very little quick service options in town, this place rocks it. Very supportive of the local community (the business helps the Boys and Girls Clubs, local schools at the NTBA), this little store is a wonderful option for cheap eats on the go. read more

In my personal opinion, it is sad to see chain restaurants moving into North Shore, especially King's Beach... one of the few places that hasn't been over-developed and still has that old Tahoe feel. But in all fairness, the place has probably been there for 15 years now. Back in my younger days, I loved it being there (back then, their quesidellas were amazing. These days, they have lost the magic... but at the time, I couldn't get enough). Now I see it as more of a scar on ol' Kings Beach's glorious mug. If you're hanging out around there and are craving some Mexican food, don't bother. There are many small Mexican restaurants within walking distance that are just as fast and offer much better food. People need to remember this is a Taco Bell Express, they don't have everything. But when it's late at night and you need a quick dinner its a great place. The food is always fresh, order is always right, they make it right in front of you and everyone is always nice. For a quick cheap meal it's the place to go. If we are rating this particular Taco Bell in comparison to all other Taco Bells and not against other legitimate Mexican restaurants (which, you fools, Taco Bell is clearly NOT) this location is on the top of my scale when compared to the countless other fine T-Bell establishments I've honored with my patronage. Since it's an express, you see the food prep area, which is a rarity in the fast food world. If you watch closely, you will observe that each and every item is made TO ORDER!
