I didn't try the hot sauce. Most meals are just the burritos or tacos. You have to order the rice and beans separate. I like this because I would rather eat several of those yummy tacos. They started out as a food truck. This was our first time to have this and we are hooked. We were told they will have a second location in Webb city mo. They have a drive thru. They have a food challenge. 6 pound burrito in 10 min. So far no one had been able to finish it. Their menu is small but I feel you should keep it small and focus on quality and that's what they are doing. They were really busy but we had excellent service. People will complain about their small menu, but you can go else where. You won't find meat this delicious! Love small family owned businesses!! Great job!

I tried the adobada, which I love at other places. It was just good here. It was reddish and had sauce all over it. Not what I was used to with adobada. And not close to amazing. Maybe their carne asada is better. A friend got that plate, and it looked good. One friend got enchiladas. It was just ok. Like 2 stars. And another friend (I forgot what she ordered) said her food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Place was small but could still fit a decent amount of people. And the service was friendly and patient. I'd try it again. Something must be amazing there.

Its located in an old burger chain, I think a former Burger King not that this matters. Its completely rebuild and looks nothing like a burger joint anymore. We have been in several times, (actually I've written a Yelp before but it has disappeared). And each time we have been impressed. There are so many Mexican restaurants in Joplin of very style and price point. Some offer really good interiors like its a theme part or movie set. Some are as simple as can be with authentic menu's and no effort to be fancy or touristy. Speedy is somewhere in-between. Some of the menu is typical of many American-Mex chains only better prepared. Then again some menu items are normally only found at authentic Tex-Mex, roadside and Southwestern style Mexican based in real family recipes and flavors you'd find south of the boarder. There is a small bar, service is friendly and prompt and the bright decor is refreshing.

I was feeling like poke and jumped at the woman behind the counter's suggestion for a couple of tacos and a side of macaroni salad. It doesn't look like much, but it was filling. It was also really good. We had come by about 1PM but they were not ready yet. My wife and I can be Churro snobs, having grown up in Southern CA and had them fresh all the time from street vendors, taco trucks and even at the beach or events. They were always hot, crispy and covered in cinnamon and sugar. Around the Joplin Carthage area we've tried them everywhere and they go from horrible to rancid and we've yet to find a good Churro here. We shared that story as a challenge and the friendly woman just gave us a knowing smile and coyly said, you better come back tonight. We did, and when we got there about 6:15 there was a line and tons of cars! Rare for a Joplin food truck! About half the customers were Hispanic, another good sign. We got a bag for each of us, four people. We made a mistake! We could have shared one bag and felt sensible but as we drive off munching on warm churro while I complained that everyone was getting my truck covered in cinnamon and sugar, we all agreed. We will be back next Thursday for more! We like the basic traditional version but they also had dipping sauces and ice cream covered versions. Next time we'll come earlier and try the tacos or torta sandwich from the rest of the menu. Then more fresh made, warm, comforting, taste of home Churros! lol.
