We heard good things about this place and were in the mood for Mexican food. They were busy when…read morewe arrived and we were sat at a skinny table for 2 in the middle of larger tables. I was kind of in the aisle and felt like I may be in the way of people and staff walking by, but it worked out ok. Despite it being busy, we were waited on quickly. They brought out chips and salsa to start while we reviewed the menu. I ordered the chicken with shrimp that came with rice, beans and tortillas. My husband got the chili verde chimichanga with rice and beans. The food was fresh and the plates were hot. I really enjoyed my meal and liked the flavors of the shrimp and chicken topped with cheese and fresh mushrooms. I must have been hungry because I cleaned the plate. The beans were good, and had a sweeter flavor like I like. The rice was cooked well and did not have any undercooked crunchy bits. I would surely return again when I'm in the area.

The waitress didn't bring chips and salsa until we asked for it. Ehhh. The chips were stale. Must be bulk Costco chips. Nope! My daughter ordered a Michelada. She asked if they had Chamoy and Tajin? They did. The waitress must of misunderstood her as she wanted the rim with Chamoy and Tajin. She had it put in the actual drink. My grandson ordered chicken nuggets and fries off the child's menu. He must not of liked it as he didn't eat very much. He is super picky though. I had the same thing as last time. Surf and Turf. I enjoyed my meal. My daughter's mom got enchiladas again and she liked it too. They both did NOT like the rice which was unfortunate as they ordered double rice with their meal. I will still stop here on any future trips to Idaho. 3*

This is a constant stop after the burn (as long as we don't miss it). The people who run this place are super nice and it's a great place to start decompression. They have a trash dump as well so you can eat, dump your trash, and see some burners for a last burning man experience. The don't have a lot of seating but most people are in and out quickly.

Oasis 29 is one of the longest standing seller of Indian tacos and fried bread that I can remember seeing in the desert. My husband has enjoyed stopping here with me for several years as well. Before all the sellers of bright lights, car washes, and other items started popping up, Oasis 29 was cooking authentic Indian tacos, served with meat or beans (vegetarian) on a hot fried bread. They have a shaded area to sit out front and they put out fresh cut onions, homemade salsa, and a couple of hot sauce bottles to garnish your fresh taco. Chairs and tables are often full. Luckily the food doesn't take long to make and most people are gobbling it down quickly, so it doesn't take long to find a seat. This is definitely one of the freshest places to get an Indian taco. While I assume many other of the spots are great also, sometimes you pull over for the tempting "Indian Taco" sign, and you get a family selling tacos under an umbrella out of a cooler. I stick to Oasis! They are fondly visited every year that I'm in the area.
