I'm a huge Taco Bell fan, having been a loyal customer since childhood. However, this particular location has been a major disappointment. The food is terrible, and the quality is simply unacceptable. It's cold and poorly made. Customer service is neither terrible nor exceptional. This is my third review of this Taco Bell and this needs to be HEARD. *Trigger warning for those who are sensitive to details about foodborne illnesses* The first review I made wasn't favorable, the second was good, now this one takes the cake. First of all, my cousin picked up both hers and my mobile order and brought it to our house. She didn't know what I ordered, so she assumed the order was right when they handed it to her. Nope. They gave her SOMEONE ELSE'S order. The only thing that was right, was our drink. Sad for me, because I don't eat meat. I passed the food on to my husband, which I regret instead of throwing it away. Why? I have been in the hospital ALL DAY because this Taco Bell is UNCLEAN to the point that it hospitalized my husband!! I don't mean an er visit, I mean admitted to the hospital, facing a surgery in the morning. All last night, he was violently vomiting non- stop. Morning came, and he started vomiting up BLOOD. I had to rush him to the emergency room, who then transferred him to another hospital because the vomiting from the food was so terrible, it tore his esophagus. He lost so much blood, that he had to have a blood infusion. We don't have a diagnosis yet, but I do know this nasty establishment caused him to become ill because my cousin ALSO threw up that same night, roughly around the same time, but only once. It made BOTH of them sick. Luckily she's okay, but my husband? Well, looks like we are facing THOUSANDS in hospital bills over $13 Taco Bell food that wasn't even our correct order. Never. Rude customer service and tacos were so stale I couldn't even eat them. The woman was nice on the headset until I got to the window and she just looked at me, no greeting no nothing, even talking loudly to her coworkers while I was still sitting there. The taco shells were so stale I had to go home and put them in a new shell. I've worked at this location before. There is no excuse for the rudeness at the window nor the stale shells. You can SMELL when they go bad. I'm going to avoid this Taco Bell like the plague it's only getting worse. read more

If you want your food, order inside. Their mobile app is not meant for your order to be ordered ahead of time. I had ordered my food an hour before I arrived at the restaurant and provided my name when I got there. The female staff at the front stated that she could not find my order. A few seconds later I was told that they found it and proceeded to give me just my cup for my drink. She did not apologize or tell me it'll be a few minute. I waited for over 15 minutes for my food. There was a lady that came in after me and had gotten her food before I did. The two female start in the kitchen were looking at me and started talking amongst each other before they started making me food. The male staff then proceeded to tell me that my order was not on the screen and that was the reason why they didn't make it. That is their responsibility not mine, the first staff that I came into contact with should have notified the kitchen staff of my order or move my order from the mobile order pending section into the arrived section. No one apologized for the long wait time and the miscommunication between the staffs. This is unprofessional and corporate needs to look into this. I called the store the first time to speak to the supervisor or manager and the phone just kept ringing until it went to a voicemai. The second time I called I spoke to T Gibbs the shift manager and explained to the situation. Not one word of apology. As a so called shift leader/supervisor it is your responsibility to know how to respond to your customer. I had to teach this person over the phone that when a mistake is made the staff is supposed to apologize for the long wait time. I'll be sending a message to corporate as this location needs more training. read more

Never go here for their third shift. Unless you want to wait 30 minutes at the speaker without anyone saying anything like it's not hard to be considerate and polite which is what customer service is. Even if you would say "hey we're very backed up and it's going to be about 30-45 minutes" that's better than nothing. As someone who has worked at a Taco Bell and has over 10+ years of experience in customer service, I don't honestly know how they're still open. During the day they're wonderful, just not third shift. The woman at the window and the manager both act like they really don't want to be there at all. Doesn't mean you have to be rude when we are the ones purchasing food from your job which is how you get paid. Overall the food was ok. Definitely didn't taste like a burrito that took 20 minutes to make. read more

Not sure if it's staffing or what but this location is EXTREMELY slow! This is not the definition of fast food. (Often I'll be at the window and see at least two, even three, workers just near the window, alone, so I'm not even sure it IS because of short-staffing) You could be waiting here anywhere between 20-40 mins. And it's really strange because, I swear, they will take the order of the vehicle, get them to the window, give them their order, then get them on their way and then finally take the order of the next car waiting.... Which is awful because you end up have 8-12 cars lined-up in the lot. Doesn't necessarily change the wait time but it just adds to the frustration. (Don't bother thinking walking inside will go any faster - I've tried that too. {paying attention to the cars in line as I put in my order inside and seeing when I get my order and when the car I would have been behind makes their way to window}) - just as slow. Ironically if you head over to the Taco Bell on 70 in front of Walmart/Sam's Club they are fairly quick and normally get your order right. Personally I think it's a management problem. read more

Yuck. People are hateful and the food is manufactured. These places are for young people who can digest anything, and I mean anything. The last time I went there I asked a question through the loud speaker and was told to read the menu! I doubt the scholar working the window knew the menu, so I drove away. read more

If only I could give them no stars. I've tried to go there in the last month about 5 times. Every time they tell me it's gonna be a 15 minute wait. What? 15 minutes? No thanks. How hard is it to make tacos? Today I made the mistake of waiting for about 30 minutes. I got stuck in the "well I've already waited this long...". dilemma. I will not be going back. Ordered on kiosk because I wanted to get a power bowl with no dairy came with lettuce or guacamole .I didnt order and guacamole or lettuse I said I didnt want. Fire everyone who works days here. The woman at the drive through window can barely speak above a whisper and doesn't listen to what you're saying leading almost every order to be wrong. They cannot seem to speed it up so there is always a very long line at lunch in which you can expect to spend at least 3 minutes waiting to even have your order taken at the speaker and then good luck guessing how long you'll have to wait for your actual food, all the while a huge line of people that all need to get back to work. They are more content to make excuses than try to improve. Avoid this place until more competent staff are hired, I understand that staffing is somewhat hard right now if you're a company who wants to take advantage of your employees and hardly pay them anything, but all the other places around this location do not suffer the same problems. read more

Without a doubt, the best Taco Bell I've been to. There are two in Hickory, one on Highway 70 and this one on US 321 and given the choice, I always go here. I have never had any discrepancies with my order and when going to the drive-thru, the workers are always extremely happy. One time when going through, two were having a conversation and one turned to me and asked me if she didn't have a beautiful baby and showed me a picture. I had to admit she did have a beautiful baby! It's easy to tell how workers are treated by their attitudes, and if I were looking for part-time work I would be happy to apply here based on the atmosphere. read more

This store should be shut down. Went there Labor Day evening. What a disaster. A family ordered 20 dollars worth of food on kiosk. Tried to get money back after 25 minute wait. They walked out. Manager was on phone entire time with girlfriend. People were not being waited on. Lobby a disaster, no paper towels and no workers this store should be shut down. Guy panhandling in store. Love it! I eat here once or twice a week. Actually, some of the workers recognize my voice when I place my order at the drive-thru. The line is sometimes long but it moves pretty fast. They almost always get my order right. The inside of the restaurant has always been clean. read more

I eat at this restaurant on a regular basis. I usually stop in my work truck and grab a breakfast burrito. Today my wife, my stepson and his friend and of course myself decided to stop in and grab a bite of lunch. As usual being with my family and wanting to protect my family and myself I was carrying a glock on my side in plain site as I do everywhere except work. I walked in today with my family and the female cashier there tried to explain to me how my rights worked and that I could not do that unless I was a cop and decided that it wasn't worth her time to serve my family and I. I understand not everybody feels the same way about guns as I do. I practice and train trying to make sure I am every bit capable of carrying my gun responsibly. Well in the end I got upset and thought that if Taco Bell can't put up signs saying they don't except anyone carrying a gun including Law enforcement. Then they had a employee single handedly question my rights and deny service to my family and myself when Taco Bell has nothing posted saying I could exercise my rights. In the end they will no longer get any of my support from my family or myself. I'm shocked that they would let there employees take action like that when it is clearly not posted. I love Taco Bell they sale all kinds of food. I mean and for the most part most of it is healthy. I like the new beefy flat bread sandwhich that they just came out with it is $5.00 and it taste great. It is well worth the money. Customer service is great and the atmosphere is good. Kid friendly as well. All Tacos and Sandwhiches are all around $5.00 or less and this is just where a college kid or a struggling family can eat cheaply and feel full. I would give Taco Bell two thumbs up. read more

We have always loved Taco Bell and go there regularly. One of my favorite items has been the taco salad. What has happened to the taco shell with it? In the past it was great.....flaky, crunchy, delicious. To me it made the taco salad what it was. The shell is no longer the same. It tastes like a cheap tortilla! Please bring back the old taco shell. Until you do, I will have to get my taco salads somewhere else. Still love Taco Bell......just not your taco salad! read more
