Soft tacos, burrito & chalupa

This location has the most unfriendly & unprofessional employees. Ordered food through drive through got food with opened wrappers, sour cream everywhere, sauce thrown in bag was opened everything wet & sticky, paper wrappers stuck to the soft tacos. Looked like someone was having a bad day & didn't want to work & just threw items in bag. Too late to go back to restaurant so submitted complaints via website & no response back. Last thing I wanted after long day at work was to eat an opened taco with wrapper stuck to it.

7-layer my a$$..? What's missing... something green??Something white? Thanks for the "add chicken" yo. Quiero. Taco.Bell...amigo.

This taco bell sucks. Staff sucks. Food sucks. You guys are slow as hell, and you make more than a janitor so you have no excuse.

The people that run this restaurant are literally idiots. They can take up to 1 hour and a half to get out a single meal.

We were the only customers there! I had seen on-line that three food trucks would be present, but there were just two -The Gulla Grille (Brazilian) and Taste of Home (Puerto Rican). Aunties Pasta (Italian) wasn't there. The designers of Westside really need to get a lot of credit for the beautiful job they did in salvaging this forlorn corner of Hartford. The dozens of wood tables and benches were made from old recycled industrial spools, and they are really amazing. There are corn hole boards, beer pong table, Giant Jenga, Connect Four, a movie screen, a music stage, and a bar spread throughout the property so there's a ton of things to do there. I had a kebab plate from Gulla and my wife had a cheeseburger from Taste of Home. She was given one of those buzzing gizmos to tell her when her food was ready. I knew my lunch was ready when the guy flagged me down like he was hailing a cab. I love the concept of food truck courts and I suspect Westside is quite a bit busier in the evenings that it was lunch time on a holiday weekend Saturday, when we had the place to ourselves..

Despite the fifteen minute car ride, it was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. I've spent the next few days literally seeing this taco in my dreams. We drove from New Britain to Bristol to get another but unfortunately they were rained out and the event was cancelled. Tried again today and made a special 45 minute trip! with a five year old in the car! because this taco is truly so so so good! and I even brought my parents!! and luckily we found Paki Taco and were able to order. Dear Reader/Eater, it was worth the wait. It was worth the drive(s), the cranky five year old, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. Next time I'm trying the birria. Yum. Sadly, I forgot to take a photo of the taco in my eagerness to actually consume it, but please believe it looked as delicious as it tasted.

We made our way to El Nopal, as it as nearby, and since then, we've put this restaurant on a regular rotation, coming at least once a month. The restaurant is family owned and operated. It does a really busy take-out business so it always looks empty. The restaurant is very clean and there is plenty of seating. Service is quick and friendly. Chips and salsa come out quickly. All of the food is homemade and made fresh when you order it, so there is a few minute wait (whereas we notice that a lot of Mexican places serve the main dishes VERY quickly - probably because the food is microwaved!). It's always delicious - the tamales are yummy; nachos, queso, guac are all good. I like the enchiladas suisa and ground beef tacos. My husband gets veggie burritos and quesadillas. They don't have a bar, but honestly, it doesn't matter. The food is that good, and we always feel good about supporting a small local business. In terms of parking, there is ample free parking in the parking lot near the restaurant. Totally recommend El Nopal!

Service was a little slow but I didn't mind because the food was fresh. However there were almost no customers when I was there so I don't know how it goes when they have a crowd. Still because the flavor was so good, I'm def coming back. This may become one of my spots when I want to get burritos or pupusas that remind me of California.

Next time I would probably try something different. I heard they just got a new chef so I'm interested in the flavors she's bringing to the kitchen.

This hidden gem is located on Market Street in Hartford right beside the 960 Main St building. It's a selfie museum and a restaurant all in one. The restaurant menu is small but there are a wide variety of options to choose from. I came for Christmas dinner with friends who were all dining for the first time. I ordered the New York strip with candied yams and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was a little bland but was still edible. It was my first time trying candied yams and it was so rich, sweet, and delicious. I had my steak well done and it was so juicy. The serving size was also pretty decent as I had leftovers for the next day. For my drink, I had the soho punch which was very tasty and fruity. To be able to take pictures I believe you have to pay for that part separately, however, based on the numbers in our party, they told us we could take pics and you know the model I am, I went around and took photos at nearly all the photo booths. Each photo station has a ring camera with a ring light which makes it perfect for taking pictures especially if you do not have anyone to take your pictures. All the others in my party also enjoyed their meals. They had jerk chicken alfredo, fried whiting fish, salmon alfredo, Buffalo chicken wings, burgers and so much more. They also do paint and aip and will be hosting a New Year's Eve brunch if you are interested.

Once I saw two 5 star reviews I headed over. First, let's talk about the name! Ktrachitos isn't only addicting to say (once you get it right), it's likened to Boriqua for Puerto Ricans but for Hondurans. This was my first time trying Honduran food and it exceeded my expectations! I got the arepa revuelta, carne asada, and the biggest mug of passion fruit juice I've ever seen. The Arepa was slightly burnt, but that's exactly how I like them. The texture was smooth and they didn't skimp on any of the beans, cheese, or chicharron inside. The carne asada was PERFECT. The steak was cooked well, lightly seasoned, and paired perfectly with everything on the plate. There was so much included from green bananas, rice, avocado, sausage, and cheese. I couldn't finish it and packed the rest to go. It was perfect the next morning. It's a laid back spot. There are Honduran flags through the restaurant, cute plants, and twinkling lights which were cute. I recommend attending with someone who speaks Spanish if you do not. My Spanish is rusty but I was still able to chat with my server a bit. I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast, but I'm a big fan already!
