Ordered 3 birria tacos which were very filling. They were a bit on the dry side but thankfully that's what consume is for. I'm a big fan of lime so I would've loved a couple more since this were cut into half wedges. The flavor was fantastic though! The beef was tender and the onions were so so so fresh. I'm still thinking about the onions honestly. Service was quick and they're close to the bathrooms and the stairs for other seating options. I got a bite of the birria quesadillas and loved that too. Usually when I go to Parkville I go to the same few vendors. But this time, once I saw Birria tacos it called my name so I figured it was the best time and to try a new vendor at Parkville. I got my Order in fast and only had to wait a few mini for my Order. It was a Saturday night but not as crazy busy as I thought it be. My Birria tacos were delicious! Stepping into Parkville Market, you have a plethora of food vendors to select from and initially. it might overwhelming if you do not have a food spot in mind but it is also easy to navigate. You will find Burrito Loko on the left hand side within this food market of tasty happiness. The scents coming up off the grill will have your tastebuds intrigued in their own little way. The menu is easy to read and the prices; though kicked up a notch won't exactly break your wallet but you will feel these prices all the same for food itself is going up in costs far too often. My shrimp taco was small yet powerful in flavor. From the lightly crisp tortilla shell, to the diced tomatoes providing a fresh mouth feel. My shrimp had a nice plump bite and it did not taste as if it had been sitting for days on end with that fishy after kick. The touch of ketchup and mayo added a zesty pop and even the similarities from my fish taco, I can say that. the one little piece of fish, grilled up and tender was also just as flavorful. Nothing that struck me as a loss in this story. This brings us over to the birria taco that was made with love. I could taste the flavors off the birria, well seasoned and the meat itself shredded and sliding down with ease. An array of garlic and ground cloves and some pepper too! I was satisfied if nothing else. My experience at Burrito Loko was a good one and I will definitely be back to try more from their menu. read more

I've been to Burrito Loko twice in the past month or so. The first time I just ordered chips and queso to supplement our orders from other Market vendors. As I walked to the counter, an employee from a different vendor stopped by to chat. The Burrito Loko employee spoke with her about non-business issues for roughly 3 minutes while I stood there clearly waIting to order. The kicker is, then she asked me, "Are you ready to order?". I didn't say "I've been ready for three minutes." But I thought it. The queso and chips were good by the way, although there weren't enough chips for the amount they were charging. I waited about 3 weeks and returned. The same Burrito Loco employee was greeting customers today. She was responsive today, but not particularly welcoming. I ordered a taco salad. I have multiple issues with the taco salad Burrito Loko served. First, the menu description said that it included pico de gallo. It did not. Second, the ground beef had no detectable seasoning that would make it suitable for a taco salad. Third, the guacamole and sour cream looked like they were ice cream scooped out of a larger container and plopped on top of the salad. That did not look inviting. They tasted fine, but unremarkable. Fourth, unless you count the guacamole and/or black beans, the salad did not have a single vegetable other than lettuce. No tomato. No carrots. No onion. No peppers. No herbs. Lettuce! Fifth, I don't understand why they serve a taco salad with a basic ranch dressing, which doesn't remotely suggest Mexican cuisine. They could mix some salsa with that ranch and call it Southwest ranch. Problem solved. Or they could make a chipotle, agave vinaigrette if they want to go above and beyond. They could even just put salsa on top of the salad so that you can stir it with the sour cream. It doesn't take a lot of thought to improve upon Ranch for a taco salad. The tortilla shell, black beans and shredded cheese were all fine, but not enough to save this from being a well below average taco salad. That's my last trip to Burrito Loko. There are some lessons here. First, employees have to care about their customers and act that way. Second, if you say that a dish has an ingredient, you've got to have it or explain in advance why you don't. Third, you need to serve food that matches the reasonable expectations a customer has when they are ordering a certain dish. In this regard, a salad like this should have a few vegetables. read more

I enjoyed their food in the past but when I went up to the register to pick up my order via Grubhub, they canceled it as I was standing there and then said "We never received an order from Grubhub." I then coincidentally received a notification that my order for two bowls and a quesadilla was cancelled because 'it couldn't be fulfilled'. Give me some respect and don't lie to my face as well as on the app. Will never come back here again. Awful service. You'd be better off going to Taco Bell. read more

After looking around at the vendors at Parkville for dinner, I decided that I was craving a rice bowl from the menu at Burrito Loko. Sadly, it was incredibly average and the quality did not match the price that I paid. The only flavor came from the guac and pico de gallo. Also, I paid extra for guac, and it was literally the tiniest spoonful on top (surface level, it doesn't touch the bottom of the container). The steak didn't taste like it was seasoned at all. I don't see myself returning to this vendor unfortunately. read more

Today, I had the Tex-Mex chopped salad with an avocado ranch dressing. So many amazing flavors! I love when my food has a lot of colors going on. It's the best way to eat! I cook low sodium, so take caution when eating here. It was a little too salty for me, and I think next time, if possible, I will ask for the chicken not to be seasoned. The avocado ranch was on the chunkier side than what I'm used to seeing, with specks of red and green throughout. The birria quesadilla from Burrito Loko was everything I hoped for from birria! It was crispy and the cheese added the saltiness that I usually feel is missing from birria in taco form. The consomé was just salty enough, and the red salsa was tangy and refreshing with a little kick. I ended up using all of the salsa because it was so good and the perfect compliment to cut through the greasy cheesy quesadilla. My only issue was that since I ordered take out, the bottom pieces were soggy in comparison to the top ones. I'll have to go in person next time so I can get the maximum crisp on my quesadilla. read more

Ordered two meals to go while visiting Parkville Market. Both meals were subpar and I'm being nice when I say that. The menu on Parkville's website is apparently updated and doesn't go into play until next week. The quesadilla's that are on the current menu come with sour cream, guacamole, pico de Gallo. My quesadilla came solo, with none of that included. The enchiladas were terrible. Dry and smothered with what seemed to be salsa and multiple layers of cheese. Food is usually good. Last time I ordered the rice in my burrito bowl was hard I could barely chew it, it was old so I got refunded for it. I really like their food so I ordered again. The order definitely went through on the Grubhub app, was charged and everything but the driver gets there and they don't have my order? I tried to call to see what was going on and some deliberately picked up the phone and immediately hung up on me, tried to call again and nobody would answer. Overall very subpar experience. Work staff wasn't even Mexican. Ingredients and sauces are the furthest thing from authentic Central American cuisine. Fairly certain they mix horse hair into the cheese and grow their beans in a lab. Will not be taking my business there again until they start getting some real cholos behind the cash register. read more
