Mind-destroyingly, stupid slow. For the love of God, avoid this place. Drive thru is truly the slowest in the entire nation. I'm not one for hyperbole, but I am now literally three years older than I was before entering this line. I'm leaning out my window shouting at the cars pulling up, "TURN BACK! SAVE YOURSELVES! WOE TO ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE!"

Every time I have been here, the order is always messed up or they don't include the whole order. Every. Single. Time. It's the worst.

Food is disgusting. Stale taco shells and everything always seems old. Drive the extra miles and go to the Belton or Lee's Summit stores.

Changing my mind, new review. Caught an employee leave the Mens room and passed on washing his hands. Walked out and won't be back.

I couldn't even finish my burritos, for one they were put together sloppy, and two the refried beans or crunchy and taste like dirt!

Don't judge a book by its reviews…read more.. I've done some looking at this place and felt very skeptical coming in. I wasn't even sure if I was going to enjoy myself but boy was I wrong. To start off Rafael, at the front was very funny and made it very comforting. He made conversation with us and was very accommodating. We also received free chips and queso which was my daughter's favorite! The place itself is very calm and just seems like a chill spot to come for a quick eat. I ordered the steak tacos and veggie burrito (which Rafael fixed up for me on regular price with no extra charges for adding fries). We enjoyed our food and had a great time. Everything was delicious and Rafael did a great job on making this a good time for us. I wasn't really a big fan of their horchata but they had other good drinks available. I want to add that I feel like we started receiving special treatment because they realized we were yelpies so I don't know how service is on a regular day. Altogether, I'll be coming back here again!

He told us about the menu and even let us try the horchata before purchasing! The customer service was perfection. That alone would bring me back. I thought the horchata was great but ended up getting the sangria (non alcoholic). The quesobiria was fireeeee and came with grilled onions and a pepper. For 2 tacos, menudo sauce, a drink, onion, and pepper, it was about 10 dollars. That is extremely reasonable! We also enjoyed the interior because it felt home like. My favorite part was the chips and queso, which was the perfect balance of creamy and salty.

We went to Popi's for the first time on 04-21 about 3:30.  Parking was easy to find and there were…read moreabout ten other patrons in the restaurant.  We entered through the door and were unsure immediately if it was a self sit or wait to be seated, but in about 18 seconds a nice lady, Angelica, came from the kitchen area, greeted us and asked if we preferred a booth or table.  We asked for a booth, which was clean, the table and seats in good condition.  She gave us each a menu and said she would be right back, which she was in less than a minute. The tables have a roll of paper towels on a vertical paper towel holder, nice and readily available.  There was also a condiment tray with three bottles of various sauces (green, hot, regular) as well as salt, pepper, sugar. Our server ended up being Angelica who brought out a container of salsa, two small bowls for the salsa, and a basket of freshly cooked tortilla chips.  The salsa was mild yet flavorful (can use the bottles on the table to spice it up if desired).  It was on the watery side but likely due to it seeming to be made from fresh tomatoes, not canned or prepackaged.  Refills of each are provided as desired. Angelica asked what we would like to drink.  My wife got water and Angelica asked if she would like lots of ice, light ice, or regular ice.  That was nice.  I got Diet Dr Pepper and asked for light ice.  Soft drinks are Pepsi products and Dr Pepper, all with free refills.  Angelica did a good job keeping drinks filled.  She asked if we knew what we would like to order.  My wife was not quite ready so Angelica said, no problem, and ahead of would be back in a couple minutes, which she was. I ordered the Burrito Cowboy ($15.49) and my wife ordered the Fajitas Chicken ($18.25). The Burrito Cowboy is 2 large steak burritos with sliced pieces of good steak and cheese dip filling the burritos that were also lined inside with lettuce, then smothered with cheese dip.  The cheese dip was a very nice amount, fully covering the burritos and the entire plate.  It comes with rice and fried beans served on a side plate.  They were nicely seasoned and a good amount,  The burritos were nice and hot, the steak taste and texture felt like it was freshly cooked steak to order.  It was a very good dish. The Fajitas Chicken is a very nice quantity of sliced chicken breast (maybe about 1/4 lb?, it was a nice amount, mixed with sliced green bell peppers, sliced onions, tomatoes.  The plate was almost 2 inches tall of the fajita mix.  It had been prepared fresh as we saw and heard him making the fajitas.  Lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, rice, fried beans, with 3 tortillas (choice of wheat or corn), all came on their own plate.  The fajitas were sizzling as they should be, and the side items were all fresh. Silverware consisted of a knife and fork inside a protective sanitary bag, a nice touch.  A spoon could have helped with some of my food but we did not ask since we managed okay without but may ask if a spoon is available a a future visit. Another server came in, Jennifer, to start about 4:00 pm and we also noticed a lot of customers coming in, it was filling fast.  She ended up cashing us out.  Another server came in, Jennifer, to start about 4:00 pm and we also noticed a lot of customers coming in, it was filling fast.  Payment is made at the counter near the door.  There is no additional charge for using a credit card.  We mentioned that it looked like we came in at a good time as it was filling so fast and Jennifer said that happens on Tuesdays.  We asked what caused that on Tuesday and she said it is when they have a special of 4 tacos for $7.49 with beans and rice. Everything seems to be made fresh, and the prices are good for what we got.  We were very happy with our visit and plan to come again.

The chips and salsa were excellent. I love thin chips. I had the enchiladas rancheras. It came with rice and guacamole salad. I wish it would've come with refried beans instead. I was working so I did door dash, though I'm sure it would be about half the cost to just go in and visit their brick and mortar. I'm going to chalk it up to door dash and not the restaurant but I did have some issue with them giving me an up to date time estimate on my order. It kept saying it was running late and then when I was getting really concerned I just checked the front porch and there it was! Somehow my delivery person missed the front door camera. Regardless of that little snafu the food was still pretty warm and I enjoyed my burrito. These things are BIG - which is nice, and next time I think I'll share it with someone. Think local chipotle vibes, but with some more authentic flavors. I had the barbacoa and it was exactly how I was hoping it would be. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and I'll for sure order again.
