Stopped in here after kids basketball game. Kind of late for a school night, but it's convenient. I would like to start by saying this is a fast food establishment. We've visited this particular location several times since it's opening. The location is as convenient as it could possibly be. The inside of the restaurant is nice and the employees attitude is hit or miss. I'm starting to believe it's an industry standard for customer service to be inconsistent. Either way, ordering is simple and quick. Our food was ready for pick up rather quickly. The Naked Chicken Chalupas and Crunchy Beef Tacos were as good as expected. This location has significantly gone down hill within the last few months. Not sure of the reason for the change but it's worth skipping the trip and going to the closest location in Wilmington. A manager needs to either be notified or possibly a change in management is needed. We ordered simply two bean and cheese burritos. Nothing special and we came home to a glob of nacho cheese and rice wrapped in a tortilla. Which then requires a drive back to get what we ordered. Not sure how someone can manage screw that up. Let me first start off by saying that I absolutely love Taco Bell, I have never had a bad experience, ever. Today I was on my way back from work and I stopped in at 10:35 to the Taco Bell on US Highway 17, and the drive-thru order taker was Taylor E. I pulled up and as some may or may not know, Taco Bell has a few new things they added to their menu. Now, being I have not been to Taco Bell in a couple months, I was craving it. I like others are curious because I like trying new things but I wasn't familiar with a few new items. So apparently at this particular Taco Bell you're not supposed to ask about the newer items. lol. Or maybe just not at the drive-thru. Bc Taylor E kept rushing and rushing me, every time I would ask a question about a newer item, I mean I could've been ensuring it wasn't something I was allergic to. However .. With every question I asked, she, with every bit of her professionalism, would snap with an attitude like I was inconveniencing her or like I made her fill out the application to work there taking from her life. I can't stand that!! Ugh! Annnnd... Then I pull up to the window to pay and her and the cooks were obviously making fun of my cautionary questions due to the words they used when I pulled up there such as: "like he slow as hell" "damn Mr. turtle" but hey maybe I was taking too long lol but dang it it's a restaurant isn't serving the public the point of their occupation? Lol COME ON!!! ALL I wanted to know was a little info on the new items added to the menu. I mean it's not like I asked 21 things that a sheltered person that has absolutely no education and has no common sense would ask. Common management lets take the hiring and training process at this location seriously. Bc as cool as I am, with this "Taylor E" and her doing this to me, I know for a fact that she'll do it to most or at least some others. I'm referring to her impatient attitude filled with some sort of entitlement where she can snap at CUSTOMERS w her attitude. She and the cooks will definitely offend others and push money away. Now, I understand they have a certain time that they have to move the cars through the drive-thru according to their corporate expectations. But as a huge corporation, shouldn't integrity be what come first? I have been here a handful of times (about 4 or 5 times). I normally like to give good reviews on Yelp. If I give a bad review it's really because I have been here several times in order to give a fair opinion. Let's start with the good things: The place is generally clean every time. It's cheap and convenient. The kids working there are friendly and um.... that's about it. The places where they have major room for improvement are: -Professionalism!!!! There are way too many young (and I mean young) kids working here. I commend them (the workers) for trying and actually applying to work but they are very green and need a lot of guidance. Which brings me to my next point. -You need a Experienced Managers. I have never seen an adult, manager, leader in this establishment. I have seen several young "leaders" who where training others. "get out of here", "what do you want?", "um, you did it wrong again" is probably not the best way to train people, especially when you're taking your customer's (me) order. -Every time I have been here the beans are super salty. -When you have customers outside the door waiting to have their order taken, it's probably not the best time to train your employee. -As another Yelper mentioned, the employees are on the lazy side. I usually go by this Taco Bell to grab quick fixes if I don't feel like cooking or if I haven't been to the grocery store, what else is fast food for? I've never had any stand out problems other than a few employees forgetting some items or ingredients that I asked for. However, this night was different. It was last Friday night, about 10:30, they were open until about 1am so I didn't feel like an asshole coming that late. There were 2 other cars in front of me, but nothing crazy & it seemed relatively calm. I pulled up to the ordering speaker & was greeted with a "hi, how are you?" & I responded with "great, how are you?" but before she could say the usual "great, what can I get you?" she was interrupted with one of the cooks yelling "fuck off" & "go away" from the back. She obviously didn't think I could hear it, but I did, & it instantly took me a second to realize what I just heard. I ordered 2 food items & a medium cherry Pepsi, as always. While I was ordering, he continued to yell the same things along with "oh my fucking god." I rolled up to the window, paid & collected my order, which was dismissively handed to me by an unenthusiastic cook, which I assumed was the pottymouth from before. I know his name since we have mutual friends, so if the manager reads this, yes, I'd be happy to share that information. Being that I was annoyed, instantly in a pissy mood, I didn't even realize that they forgot my drink & half of the ingredients on my nachos supreme. This experience has put me off from this establishment completely. I could understand if it was a few minutes before closing, but you had several hours until then. I've noticed over the last few years, the portions have gotten smaller and ingredients gotten skimpier, price has gone up, and how they package the food to take out is always changing! To Whom It May Concern, Today I visited your store in Hampstead NC and I ordered a Chicken and cheese quesadilla and upon receiving my order I checked to make sure it was complete and at the least warm. The quesadilla wasn't warm as the cheese wasn't rometly even close to being melted. It was cut and placed together so sloppy to where everything was falling out of the tortilla. The worst part of the visit was receiving attitude from Brittany as she rushed my order and had a terrible attitude as if I was an inconvenience to her day. I then pulled back around to the window to inform them about the condition of the order and she told me to pull up to the front of the store. As I pulled away I heard her say very blatantly "Jesus what the fuck". I then got out of my car with my hungry crying child and asked to speak with the manager. As I was informing him of the complete and utter disrespect I received from Brittany she LAUGHED and kept smiling while shaking her head during the ENTIRE conversation with the manager. I then told the manager to look and see how she was reacting and he looked down at the floor and said "trust me I'm working on it and it will be dealt with". It was very clear that the store was ran by the employees and I was so DISGUSTED by the way I was treated I could have thrown my order across the counter and demanded a refund. I have never seen an employee with such CHILDISH and DISRESPECTFUL behavior towards a consumer. As a former manager I understand every persons leadership skills and style differs however I would have at the least made sure the consumer was compensated and then fired Brittany on the spot. Probably my favorite Taco Bell location. Good food and nice employees. The employees always greet me with a smile and seem like they enjoy their job and put out a "feel good" vibe.
