The chorizo was a letdown for me -- it had a pasty consistency, almost like refried beans, and was heavy on potatoes, which wasn't what I was hoping for. I also tried a hard shell pastor supreme, expecting an authentic house-fried tortilla, but it reminded me more of what you'd get at Taco Bell. My husband went with carne asada, chicharrón, and chicken. The carne asada was juicy but the flavor just didn't hit the way I expected. The chicken was good but came shredded. The chicharrón had solid flavor -- I just personally struggle with the texture, though that one's on me since I knew going in! One thing all the tacos had in common: the meat portions felt too small for the size of the tortillas. Personally, I wouldn't classify this as truly authentic Mexican, but that's just my palate. Everything was absolutely amazing. What really stood out to me, though, was the owner's kindness and customer service. He noticed my elderly aunt was getting overheated in the sun and immediately offered her a chair in the shade along with a complimentary bottle of water. He also found out it was my mother's birthday and surprised her with a delicious Orange Julius drink on the house. He took the time to come out, chat with us, and genuinely make us feel welcomed and appreciated. That kind of hospitality is rare these days. Anytime this truck is in my area, I will absolutely be supporting this business. Great food, amazing service, and an even better owner. Highly recommend!
