We were greeted at the front host station by smiling, polite, Eduardo. Great menu selections. We ended up trying something new for the both of us. As we were told it's a Traditionally popular dish in Mexico, molcajete (or molcajete mixto). It featured a rich mix of grilled meats like steak, chicken, and chorizo, shrimp wrapped in bacon and strips of cactus, bubbling in a spicy red Mole' like salsa, with melted cheese curds. Followed by a surprise desert .....a sugar chip with a strawberry ice cream wedge, cool whip and a swirl of chocolate. $42 meal for two, that we fed on for 3 more meals. Ps.....asked if we could bring our Border Collie in, and without hesitation agreed!

The waiter William was amazing, very attentive and friendly. The food came fast within about 10-15 minutes or so. The atmosphere was nice. The whole place has art everywhere from the chairs to the custom seats to the walls. It's beautiful really. The food was really good. The chicken is shredded chicken breast in a pre-made shell. The cheese pool on the cheese enchiladas was insane. Absolutely delicious! It came with chips and salsa pre-order and when the order came I asked for additional hotter salsa which William said he would make. It was good. Not just hot but also tasted good which is important to me. It also comes with a complimentary fried flour tortilla chip with cinnamon whipped cream and a strawberry or cherry syrup which was really good. It was a nice and unexpected treat. We will definitely be back. I think we found our new go-to spot

Today I was craving a crisp meat burrito and I headed straight to Taco Time which also offers teriyaki as Samurai Sam's. I thought I might as well try the teriyaki to see if it's as good as Tokyo Stop on Whidbey Island (which I highly recommend if you are ever in the vicinity!) Well, I have to say that even though the teriyaki was "different" at Sam's, it was still exceedingly delicious! The slightly sweeter sause complimented the tender beef and perfectly cooked rice amazingly well and was topped with fresh veggies. Delightful! As for the crisp meat burrito that brought me here, I took two bites and threw the rest away. These were NOT Taco Time crisp meat burritos! Although it looked identical to all the ones I have enjoyed before, the overwhelming flavor of cumin was a bit nauseating. It was as if it was the only seasoning and took up more volume in the tortilla than meat. It gave me a headache that still lingers. Never again!! I guess I will probably have to go to Spokane for a real crisp meat burrito, but I think I will be back for the teriyaki! I want to give 5 stars for the teriyaki but the burrito was so awful!
