The girl at the front handled it so politely and with so much grace, I am genuinely impressed!! Such kind staff!! Girl at the front also answered my food questions super well!! My wife and I stopped by Taco Nganas on Germantown Parkway for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The…read moreplace was busy, which is usually a good sign when it comes to tacos. We ordered six tacos and two drinks, and our total came out to around $35. The food was definitely good. The meat was flavorful, the tacos were loaded, and everything tasted fresh. The tortillas held up well, and the toppings complemented the meat without overpowering it. The drinks were refreshing and paired well with the meal. That being said, the biggest issue for me is the price. While the tacos were tasty, I don't know if they were $35-for-lunch tasty. Memphis has no shortage of great taco trucks and taquerias, and honestly, you can find similar quality at several other spots for less money. The service was quick, and our food came out fast even during the lunch rush. The outdoor seating was nice, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I can see why Taco Nganas has such a strong following. Would I come back? Yes, but probably not often. This feels more like a once-in-a-while treat rather than a regular lunch stop. The food earns high marks, but the price keeps me from giving it five stars. Overall, good tacos, good service, and a good experience. Just be prepared to spend a little more than you would at most taco trucks. 4 out of 5 tacos.

Ran into this business at the grand opening of a new Mexican food market in Corinth, MS- La Tienda…read moreDe San Miguel, 1006 Hwy 72 E. The food they were serving was very simple- small tacos but they were perfection. The tortilla's were fresh, hot off the grill, the meat was high quality- pork or beef, sliced then chopped- not ground, cooked on a rotating vertical spit akin to Greek gyros, with a nice char and excellent seasonings. Condiments of green and red salsa's, onions, cilantro and lime rounded out the offerings. I inquired about their business and was told they operate a food truck out of Tupelo and attend many festivals and special events like today. They also appear regularly in New Albany, Pontotoc and Tupelo on the streets. For an authentic taste of Mexico, I would recommend them highly.
