Don't dine in, priority is clearly given to the drive through. Rude managers and long waits on food, not worth the wait.

Indimex is just bizarre. Like, who thought Indian-Mexican fusion was a good idea?! I'm not saying…read moreit's a bad idea, because it's not a bad idea, but it really messes with your mind, it made me question my place within the universe. The positives: the portion sizes are huge!! There's take away and a bar. If you don't like Mexican, you can have Indian, if you don't like Indian you can have Mexican, or like the Old El Paso ad: "porque no los dos" The negatives: the decor is loud and a bit strange, but I guess that's just Mexican-Indian fusion... The music is also annoying, it's loud and it's really just a lot of Shakira... On this visit I had the beef burrito, which is essentially your Mexican burrito filled with a beef curry and then covered in melted cheese. It's served with Indian rice and lentils. Nothing special, but edible and very tasty. Well proportioned amounts of sour cream and guacamole. The spinach and cheese naan is a favourite, it's cheesy and buttery and delicious. Indimex is an interesting addition to Stones Corner and something that I would probably bet on becoming a chain. It's something you probably need to try once so give it a go, it'll change you.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Indimex at Stones Corner this morning!…read more Breakfast Enchiladas? Breakfast Nachos? Spicy Scrambled Eggs? This place is exactly what it says, Indian and Mexican Food made to work together, complimenting each other and making for some seriously different breakfast dishes. I tried some of a few different menu items as we with a group, my favourite probably being the Enchiladas, full of flavor, crispy on the outside with a hint of curry in the pastry, gooey and flavourful on the inside. Service was outstanding, you couldnt ask for more friendly attentive staff making sure our needs were met and double checking that we were enjoying our food Now we all know I love my coffee, I wasnt sure what to expect. But it turns out Indimex have there own special blend roasted for them by Dancing Bean, a local company. Its a very mild roast, smooth to drink, which when your food has such strong flavours happening is a really good palate cleanser . Now, getting there ... street parking is available but is extremely limited. So go around to Cleveland Street and you will find parking in the shopping center complex that Indimex is out the front of, first 2 hours parking is free! Met some lovely people, ate some amazing food, definitely somewhere to go again!

Above average decor with below average service. This…read moreCalifornia themed restaurant is uniquely decorated with great mold lighting and fun Knick knacks, it can surely transport you out of the usual Brisbane scene. However it won't take you all the way to America with its cuisine. Food options consists of variations of nachos, tacos, fajitas and enchiladas. I got the jalapeño poppers starters which I would say is their best item and comes with a great dipping sauce. The braised beef taco was a bit dry. The steak fajita was a bit small for two men but tasted good. A lot of fun drinks to choose from. Had the pomegranate margarita which was more of a cocktail than a marg but still tasted great. Service had a few issues. Originally booked online for an outdoor table and when I arrived I had told them that and was flippantly told there was no room outside. I added I specifically chose outdoor in the booking and server replied "they all book outdoor" and then was shown to an indoor table by the entrance instead. Which was a bit noisy and didn't have the ambience I had wanted for night. None of the servers wore masks even though there is still a mask mandate unsure why that is, they do get pretty close and handle the food. None of the kitchen staff or bartenders wore masks either. Service was on the slow side. Waited approx an hour before getting our started and another 15 min for the mains. Ambience outdoor is what caught my eye originally. Large outdoor seating area with lights on the tree and string of bulb lights that borders the whole area for a great mood setter. Indoor tables can get quite noisy with the acoustics and crowded with servers bustling by. All in all unique find. Decent food. Plenty of drink options. A few areas of concern with service.

I tried this place out on a public holiday and they obviously wasnt expecting so many people as they were fairly under-staffed. This meant that the service was often slow but it couldn't really be helped - it wasn't like she was just standing around ignoring us! The menu is extensive with local dishes from all over the latin america precincts. Further, they do a great taco deal where you can buy any four of the 19 different taco (including 4 vegetarian options) for only $24! The soft shell tacos are well sized so by the time you have finished the fourth you are perfectly sated. The restaurant is decorated with various Latin American ornaments which adds to the cozy atmosphere with their bright colours and funky patterns. Its a shame that all the tables are covered by a big paper sheet (were we meant to bring our own colouring pens for when our conversation drys up?) and some of the plates were plastic but this may be aimed at families with kids which are messy or something...?? It looked like a family run restaurant and they obviously work well together creating a successful business with many patrons and since I'm definitely going to go back, they've certainly worked their latino voodoo well!

Once inside though you can seem Villa Maria is no shrinking violet. Bright colours, laltino beats and authentic air will accompany the meal. As with Daniel B. I made for the four taco option - it seemed the easiest way to try as much as possible. WARNING it is for the greedy guts and I didn't quite finish *shame*. I will be going back for the mole, to listen to the once a month live music and to try one of the tamarind margaritas - see you there! Just make sure you book!

I guess it has something to do with them doubling as a cafe. Well, I came here for a beer, and they had a pretty decent selection as well, and the service was quite good also. I had a difficult time deciding between the pulled pork tacos and the special, which was a smoked salmon with zucchini fritters, poached eggs, and creme fraiche. I also decided to calorie splurge and ordered the salted caramel milkshake (6.5), which was oh-so-delicious! It was smooth, not too milky, and not to sweet for a milkshake. I really enjoyed my breakfast, as the chunks of medium-well smoked salmon complemented the saltier zucchini fritters (they were a bit too salty). The poached eggs also balanced out the saltiness of the fritters, and the creme fraiche was surprisingly a tasteful addition. Overall, I was quite impressed with the food and the ambience of Shady Palms. It really does live up to its name, giving off a tropical, laid-back vibe. Most of the staff are friendly, though the girl at the counter that day was not, and they seem understaffed. The food took a while to come, and the staff seemed to be running around the whole time...
