Really knowledgeable staff and great food with a wide variety of choices (almost too many for me to…read moremake a decision!). Initially I was really impressed, particularly with the Mexican beers on offer and a waiter who was familiar with the majority. Food was prompt but excellent - particularly for Mexican restaurants which I often find can be fairly underwhelming with the authenticity of their food. I was barely able to finish my meal which was a very generous serving. Unfortunately the experience was let down by discovering late in the night that almost all the beers we'd consumed were well past their expiry dates (some by more than six months!). Whilst realising that unlike food, this is unlikely to be too much of an issue, it was still enough to put a dampener on the evening. Even after that they would have received a four-star review, but for the staff who responded by Googling "out of date beer" and assuring us we wouldn't get sick from the search results, but still not offering any remedy on the bill until basically being told we weren't prepared to pay for expired beers. They also tried blaming their suppliers - not a concern for your customers. A lesson to be learned there - apologise and propose a suitable resolution rather than defend and come up with excuses. People will be reasonable so long as they don't feel like they're being shafted.

There are awesome little mocktails and cocktails, you order drinks from the bar. I like this place because of the music, the staff and the mexican rice. I've had mexican rice in my time, but for some reason the rice at the Taringa Montezuma's is top of the line tastey, zingy, and they must put something in it, because I can't get enough. Plus, if you download a voucher on the website, you get a free dip to go with your free chips if you order 2 main meals. Meals are great, they range from $15-$20 usually and the Taquito's are crispy little delights you can't go past. If you are after a Mexican place that won't hurt your brain, try Montezuma's in Taringa, it's got easy parking in the complex, it's got a very relaxed laid back atmosphere and it has a killer chilli con carne. Value for money and definetely a place you can bring your family. Even fit a pram into. Try it, get your taste buds excited, drool a little when the burrito comes out, soak up your cocktail. It's a great place for a great dinner (usually a bit dead during lunch times).

I tried this place out on a public holiday and they obviously wasnt expecting so many people as they were fairly under-staffed. This meant that the service was often slow but it couldn't really be helped - it wasn't like she was just standing around ignoring us! The menu is extensive with local dishes from all over the latin america precincts. Further, they do a great taco deal where you can buy any four of the 19 different taco (including 4 vegetarian options) for only $24! The soft shell tacos are well sized so by the time you have finished the fourth you are perfectly sated. The restaurant is decorated with various Latin American ornaments which adds to the cozy atmosphere with their bright colours and funky patterns. Its a shame that all the tables are covered by a big paper sheet (were we meant to bring our own colouring pens for when our conversation drys up?) and some of the plates were plastic but this may be aimed at families with kids which are messy or something...?? It looked like a family run restaurant and they obviously work well together creating a successful business with many patrons and since I'm definitely going to go back, they've certainly worked their latino voodoo well!

Once inside though you can seem Villa Maria is no shrinking violet. Bright colours, laltino beats and authentic air will accompany the meal. As with Daniel B. I made for the four taco option - it seemed the easiest way to try as much as possible. WARNING it is for the greedy guts and I didn't quite finish *shame*. I will be going back for the mole, to listen to the once a month live music and to try one of the tamarind margaritas - see you there! Just make sure you book!

Indimex is just bizarre. Like, who thought Indian-Mexican fusion was a good idea?! I'm not saying…read moreit's a bad idea, because it's not a bad idea, but it really messes with your mind, it made me question my place within the universe. The positives: the portion sizes are huge!! There's take away and a bar. If you don't like Mexican, you can have Indian, if you don't like Indian you can have Mexican, or like the Old El Paso ad: "porque no los dos" The negatives: the decor is loud and a bit strange, but I guess that's just Mexican-Indian fusion... The music is also annoying, it's loud and it's really just a lot of Shakira... On this visit I had the beef burrito, which is essentially your Mexican burrito filled with a beef curry and then covered in melted cheese. It's served with Indian rice and lentils. Nothing special, but edible and very tasty. Well proportioned amounts of sour cream and guacamole. The spinach and cheese naan is a favourite, it's cheesy and buttery and delicious. Indimex is an interesting addition to Stones Corner and something that I would probably bet on becoming a chain. It's something you probably need to try once so give it a go, it'll change you.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Indimex at Stones Corner this morning!…read more Breakfast Enchiladas? Breakfast Nachos? Spicy Scrambled Eggs? This place is exactly what it says, Indian and Mexican Food made to work together, complimenting each other and making for some seriously different breakfast dishes. I tried some of a few different menu items as we with a group, my favourite probably being the Enchiladas, full of flavor, crispy on the outside with a hint of curry in the pastry, gooey and flavourful on the inside. Service was outstanding, you couldnt ask for more friendly attentive staff making sure our needs were met and double checking that we were enjoying our food Now we all know I love my coffee, I wasnt sure what to expect. But it turns out Indimex have there own special blend roasted for them by Dancing Bean, a local company. Its a very mild roast, smooth to drink, which when your food has such strong flavours happening is a really good palate cleanser . Now, getting there ... street parking is available but is extremely limited. So go around to Cleveland Street and you will find parking in the shopping center complex that Indimex is out the front of, first 2 hours parking is free! Met some lovely people, ate some amazing food, definitely somewhere to go again!
