The prices were average, and because of whatever day we visited, there was a deal on burritos which was an added plus. The biggest downside - and maybe I just missed it - is there was no salsa bar! What's a burrito joint with no self-serve salsa?! The decor inside was cool - dim lighting, sugar skull prints on the walls, geometric furniture, sturdy wooden tables. Overall, Burrito Bar was an A-OK choice for a quick lunch while out grocery shopping, but not worth the trip if you have to go out of your way to get there.

The menu had a variety of items from a torta, which they write in bold "MEXICAN BURGER". A few different types of tacos, burritos, and appetisers. What caught my eye was the "Mexican fries" also described as having "Mexican chipotle mayo sauce"...ugh why can't a girl just have her carne asada fries. Okay so I took a bold risk. I ordered the California burrito. I hoped and prayed it would bring my mind back to albertacos, i ordered it with beef of course. My dad got the "MEXICAN BURGER". With your burrito, you have the choice between a regular or large, I asked our server, who by the way must've been very new, if a regular is a normal size and a large is giant. I was assured that it was a normal size, I was expecting a good 10 incher. Please note: I asked for no cheese of course. They don't add sour cream or guacamole unless you ask and it's charged. My burrito came out in about 5 minutes. It was tiny. It looked like a snack wrap from McDonald's. My dads food was yet to be seen for about 12 minutes after mine was brought to me. I made the "can you come here" eye contact with the lady I assume is the owner, who was casually eating a quesadilla in the dining area outside. So I complained a little to her, I nicely told her I've had my burrito in front of me for a while now and have yet to see my dads food. She obviously couldn't leave her quesadilla waiting at the table for her for too long so she grabbed a random server and told her to check for our meal. My dads torta came out right after that. Must've just been forgotten. My burrito consisted of shredded, barbecued beef, with mushy potatoes inside. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It also tasted like it was cooked with Indian spices. My dad liked his MEXICAN BURGER enough. His came with fries, with little snail trails of that chipotle mayo again. Maybe this review is more of a warning for the fellow yanks who know better. I will say that it looked pretty busy inside so hey! Maybe it's good to those who haven't had real Mexican. If the service was an A I would maybe MAYBE consider coming back to try something else. Unfortunately it was a C and I will continue on the hunt for some damn Mexican food down under.

The music is also annoying, it's loud and it's really just a lot of Shakira... On this visit I had the beef burrito, which is essentially your Mexican burrito filled with a beef curry and then covered in melted cheese. It's served with Indian rice and lentils. Nothing special, but edible and very tasty. Well proportioned amounts of sour cream and guacamole. The spinach and cheese naan is a favourite, it's cheesy and buttery and delicious. Indimex is an interesting addition to Stones Corner and something that I would probably bet on becoming a chain. It's something you probably need to try once so give it a go, it'll change you.

This place is exactly what it says, Indian and Mexican Food made to work together, complimenting each other and making for some seriously different breakfast dishes. I tried some of a few different menu items as we with a group, my favourite probably being the Enchiladas, full of flavor, crispy on the outside with a hint of curry in the pastry, gooey and flavourful on the inside. Service was outstanding, you couldnt ask for more friendly attentive staff making sure our needs were met and double checking that we were enjoying our food Now we all know I love my coffee, I wasnt sure what to expect. But it turns out Indimex have there own special blend roasted for them by Dancing Bean, a local company. Its a very mild roast, smooth to drink, which when your food has such strong flavours happening is a really good palate cleanser . Now, getting there ... street parking is available but is extremely limited. So go around to Cleveland Street and you will find parking in the shopping center complex that Indimex is out the front of, first 2 hours parking is free! The pork tacos are served with a pineapple-based salsa which, while perhaps a good idea on paper, is overpoweringly sweet. Similarly, the caramelized onions and habanero sauce on the beef tacos is also quite sweet, and somehow manages to taste basically identical to the pineapple salsa from the pork tacos. I'd be surprised if there's any habanero in use at all. If there is, you certainly can't tell by tasting. The chicken taco was a bit better (at least it wasn't sweet!), but the guacamole topping it was basically just smashed up avocados with no seasoning. It was bland and uninspired. But still miles better than the cloying and misplaced sweetness of the beef and pork versions. Tacos aren't supposed to be sweet. So overall a disappointing meal. I find it hard to recommend this place, unless you're really desperate or looking to have tacos for dessert.
