We chose to sit outside facing the water which was nice. I ordered the chili scrambled eggs and added grilled tomato and bacon. I was skeptical at first because I like heat but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the feta & I'm happy I added the bacon & grilled tomato but it would have been fine without as well. My partner ordered the big breakfast and we both had more than enough to eat - he said it was delicious as well. We were surprised it wasn't busy when we showed up, however by the time we left it was picking up quite a bit. We stayed to enjoy our coffees, and we liked it so much we decided to book dinner reservations for this weekend as well.

Very very cold- eating rugged ip in coats and under blankets they provided- like refugee camp. Had to ferry our tables drinks from the bar (why at these prices are there not enough servers?). Most of the Food was good but the menu is VERY limited (ie fish and chip is only battered). Had to order a side of veggies if you hoped for some and the small quarter of a potato was rock hard undercooked, a sliver of pumpkin and few green beans- like austerity rations.

The takeaway is quick with their service and the seafood is always fresh. I've never had to wait more than ten minutes from ordering to receiving. Because there are barbecues always going on across the road, the demand for their chips is always high. I assume, this is the reason why, without fail, they are masters of the deep fried potato delicacy. Even if you don't like fish, you have to buy a large serving from Woody's. What I don't recommend is their barbecue chicken. It's very oil I find and at the end of the day, when that chicken has been sitting there for a good amount of hours it doesn't look appetising. In saying this people still buy it. All I can say is chips - get at them.

I crossed the road to the park to eat it. The fish was nice the rest was a mash of old crumbs from the deep fryer. The Tartare sauce tasted only of oil and garlic and was not pleasant with seafood. I returned the uneaten meal to the shop just to show them how bad it was.Taylor the girl who took my order took it away. I was walking back down the road when the owner came running after me, yelling very loudly "I MADE THE TARTARE SAUCE IT IS GOOD".He then yelled towards waiting customers "my sauce is good" they seemed as upset and confused as I was. I looked at this man who was wearing a dirty apron and had dirty hands and walked away. 0 rating

Long-term customer, but never again…read more I've been going to Red Dolphin for many years as a local, but the service over the past year has become consistently rude, from the counter staff through to the kitchen. My most recent visit was the final straw. When placing my order by phone, having suffer from diverticulitis,I politely confirmed that my steak sandwich would be on bread rather than a bun, as the buns have sesame aeads on them, When I arrived, I was met with more rudeness to be told off for "questioning" staff members on the phone. After asking whether an order was for James when i heard my name, the kitchen staff yelled at me rudley saying it was for Jade. When i paid 10minutes earlier, I had also noticed our steak sandwiches sitting ready while we were waiting on chips, so I asked if we could have them in the meantime. Instead of a reasonable response, I was snapped at and told I'd be given my food "when it is ready." Frustrated, I did use inappropriate language once, but I immediately apologised and explained that I only reacted because of the way I was being spoken to. Despite this, the situation escalated further: a staff member came outside and publicly reprimanded me in front of a full house of diners, continuing to lecture me while ignoring the fact that their staff had been unprofessional from the outset. This experience was humiliating, and not at all what a customer, let alone a long-term regular, should face. I've supported Red Dolphin for years, but after repeated negative experiences and blatant disrespect, I won't be returning.

Because we were the only ones there and after noticing that no one had started out order I approached the waiter and asked if it would be much longer. I was told that our food would be ready in a few minutes. Fifteen minutes later we finally got our order. We walked across to the park and opened out packaging and saw that out fish chips had been burned. I went back and asked for replacement and was told that it would be about fourty-five minutes wait as they had just received a large telephone order. I asked for a refund and we moved on.
