Gumdale is a great location, you don't really feel like you're in a capital city in Gumdale. The staff are young and friendly. The outdoor seating makes for a relaxed atmosphere and their is plenty of space if you want to show up with no notice with a group of 6 like I did. The Sitar Indian restaurant at Manly West has gorgeous ingredients, you can see and taste all the flavours that are meant to be there. The staff are super friendly and always seem so happy! They do a fantastic chicken tikka masala. Most times I will get take away for convenience however the restaurant is really beautiful. Red and gold walls, beautiful wooden seating, candle light and an overall feeling of warmth. I do not see many people eating in, possibly like me they prefer to eat at home but I have eaten in a few times and the service, atmosphere and food presentation are always wonderful.

I say 'Aussie' because you don't get three centimetre high toppings in Italy, that's for sure. We waited 45 minutes for our order, which seemed like a long time on a Wednesday night, but that was OK; what was disappointing was that although the pizzas looked really excellent only one of the three we ordered measured up taste-wise. The seafood pizza was probably not one we'd regularly order, but we found it bland unfortunately, as we did the Mediterranean, which just lacked a certain something. We probably will try again as it is our local, but hope they get the combinations honed and bring back the old flavours for our taste buds' sakes.
