This is a review for the food truck that's by the A & B Glass and Mirror store (you can see the sign that's perched high up on Azle Avenue). This food truck has no name on it though, unfortunately, but it does have a flashing "OPEN" sign. Yeah, kind of ghetto.
Now, don't mistake me - there's also a Taco Amigo bar and restaurant that's just two buildings over or so. It's owned by the same people, but since at night it turns into a bar, the food truck is a better bet although it's also more of a to-go type of place since there are no tables or chairs. If you want to sit down, go to the restaurant.
They have traditional Mexican tacos, as well as a quesadilla, a burrito, and tortas. The only thing that they may not have is the tripe tacos (tripas). However, they have the asada (chopped beef fajitas), al pastor, carnitas (shredded pork), desebrada (shredded beef), buche (pork stomach), and chicharron.
I tried the asada, al pastor, desebrada, and the buche - and for $1.50 a taco, I probably should have also tried the other flavors. But of the four that I did try, I highly recommend the buche, which I am definitely a fan of. The others were just meh. While I wasn't impressed with the other ones, I know I will still come back, just because the buche is hard to find and also because they make it really well.
One thing that's odd about this place is that they don't offer cilantro and onions to go with the tacos but instead some sort of cabbage with tomatoes. They also offer green salsa, which is not too spicy, but has plenty of a kick. I did not use the cabbage, and did not need to use the green salsa for the buche, but the salsa was good with the other tacos. I did, however, squeeze wedges of lime for all of them.
