Always Good, my fiancé and I go there often and we've never been disappointed. Good prices, the service is always awesome. Last night we got the Mediterranean sampler for two and it's a ton of food. A little of everything , $40 for dish for two and we had leftovers for an army. Their grape leaves are perfect (my favorite) Fiancé loves the Tabouleh and the bread is always fresh from the oven . This is the best middle eastern restaurant and I have to visit it whenever I come home. I always start with fresh hummus (delicious) and pita bread. They make the bread the old fashioned way in a stone oven that comes to the table hot and puffy. Add some garlic to the hummus and you are ready to go. Since I usually fill up on hummus, I get the chicken shawarma wrap. Pita bread that surround shawarma chicken and other goodies inside. These are my go-to orders. Had dinner here for the first time as recommended by my middle eastern doctor... I'm shocked to see any bad reviews! The food was excellent! I had the lamb gallaba and hummus. I also tried my boyfriend's shawarma combo (beef & chicken) which was fantastic! The homemade pita bread and dip were exceptional as well. As we entered, the owner greeted us and shook our hands. Tried two different locations and were disappointed both times. The meat didn't have traditional Mediterranean spices so it was bland. The hummus was meh and the Turkish coffee was burned and bitter. The only thing worth while here was the bread and garlic dip. The Grand Blanc location was better than Flint one with service and cleanliness by far. I used to go to the one in Saginaw and was bummed when they closed. Now that I work in Grand Blanc, this is my go-to lunch spot. Their lunch specials are excellent and modestly priced. I always order the Lamb Gallaba with rice and Fattoosh salad, and of course it comes with delicious bread & garlic dip. The portions are great for the price, I always have enough for lunch the next day. The dishes consistently good. They also serve fresh squeezed juices which are hard to find, a full bar, and a great selection of appetizers. The new location is bigger and beautiful. The staff are always friendly and attentive as well. I highly recommemd this place for lunch! read more

This place is amazing! The sandwiches are great and there menu is HUGE! They have everything from pasta to seafood to steak to Arabic food. It's quite the selection. The sandwiches aren't very expensive but everything else on the menu is a touch pricey. We were used to sandwiches for $4/$5 in Sterling Heights but for the northern area it's pretty good at not bad of price. The owners are very nice and the place is BEAUTIFUL and has a very classy feel. Check the address before you go, we got to the listed location and they had moved to a new location. My family has eaten here several times, both dining in and out. This place is usually a hit or miss. Tonight was a huge miss, think missing the final shot in the game , looking around at angry and disappointed fan faces; those sad faces belonged to us tonight when we attempted to eat our food. The bread and sauce was good, as was the salad. However, the grape leaves were the size of shriveled up rolls of dimes, extremely sour with bland rice. The chicken was extremely salty, not edible. The rice in the dinners had hard pieces and super sharp almond pieces that could send an unsuspecting customer to an emergency dental appointment. What a waste of money. Never ever eat here. Had a gross bug in my salad. Waitress took it to manager who didn't believe her and threw it away. Pretty much laughed about it and said what do you want me to do. It was disgusting and I didn't expect anything from him but the way he blew it off and didn't believe the waitress or myself was ridiculous. So after addressing him at the bar I decided the whole restaurant should know and I let they know what happened. That was good enough for me. Never ever eat there. Awful! We just had take out from the Grand Blanc branch, we are already familiar with the has-nothing-to-do middleeastern food at Taboon Flint but I was craving some shawerma. We had a big shawerma bites plate, which is basically shawerma sandwiches cute up in halves, we had both the beef and the chicken, and deboned chicken order with fries and salad! The shawerma and the chicken were incredibly dry, where you would have to dip it in sth to make it edible, salad was ok, at least the dressing was on the side so it we wouldn't end up with a soggy mess. Even the fries were stale and old and probably left over from last night or sth, and we paid $30 for that! Never again!! read more

OK, going there to geta basket of fresh baked pita bread with Hummous and their white garlic dip is reason enough for a visit. That stuff is like culinary crack; order extra and take it home. Food here is always great, never an issue with quality whetehr it's the Falafael, Chicken or Beef Shwarma, or Foul. And the Fattosh and Tabouleh are always fresh with the Fatoosh being a particular favorite of the bride. Have read what others have to say about the service and while it can be more hit and miss, it has never been bad. If you are looking to be greeted and treated by someone like the Brian from Chotchkies in the Office Space movie, you will be dissapointed, but who wants THAT anyway? Came to this place 3/24/2016 usually the service is good but this day I came in at 4:15 and when I came in there were three tables taken and I placed my order the food came out ok, but the problem I had was the waitress, she brought my food no silverware,and the pop taste like it had sanitizer in it she brought me another one which tasted the same,I didn't say nothing just left it there actually I don't think they changed it, but then I left at 5:35 because the waitress was to occupied to attend to me she said she would get me a to go container but never returned with it, I had to get another waitress to get my waitress, did I leave a tip yes even tho the service sucks!!!!!! I loved this restaurant before and the new location is spectacular. This is where I have chosen to go out for my birthday the last couple years; it's that good! So I got take out here and watched Kingdom of Heaven in my seedy hotel room, sopping up smoky baba ghanoush and velvety hummus with warm, oven-fresh bread while the leper king died and Jerusalem fell to Saladin. My girlfriend shared the tender, rare lamb kabobs she ordered and we both loved the crushed lentil soup. We have also eaten at the Flint Taboon, which now has separate owners. That was pretty good. Until recently, this was my go-to place for exceptional middle eastern food. I always order the lamb shish-kabob and tabouli salad. What has always impressed me most is the fact that the owner (or, he may be the manager, I'm not sure) is always there, overseeing things at dinner and making sure everything is top quality. Since the restaurant moved to a new location, I've been there 4 times. Once was okay. The last three times my experiences have been exponentially worse, finally ending in a shouting match between one of the managers and my adult daughter. First bad experience, no owner/manager on site and service exceptionally slow. But food was good that time. Next bad experience, service okay but lamb was very much overcooked. I did not complain, but should have. The last time I went was horrific in every way. They seated 6 of us at a table with place settings for 4. Didn't bring additional place settings. I asked for extra, extra garlic and said one of our party would need a whole serving by himself. She brought one small serving and gave it to him, with none for the rest of the table. Still no place settings for 2 of us, who unfortunately could not partake of bread and garlic. We ordered; I asked for my lamb medium rare. Went on to explain that the should PLEASE ask the chef to not overcook the lamb like the last visit. After 10 minutes she returned with lamb cooked SO well done I could barely cut it... with the butter knife she gave me in place of a steak knife. It was cooked dry, hard, could barely cut it, and it was completely not eatable. I sent it back. Fifteen minutes later still no replacement meal. But we did get place settings for the other 2 people at our table and another small bowl of garlic, at least. I told the server to cancel the lamb, because after 15 minutes of cooking it was certainly going to be overcooked again, and I didn't want to have to send it back a 2nd time - would take a bowl of soup instead. Entire table was finished eating and I got my soup. Started eating and a floor manager came over with a platter of overcooked lamb. Told me she brought me a replacement, cooked medium WELL. I told her I could not eat it that well done and needed it medium rare, closer to rare... plus was already eating the soup. She persisted, saying 'this is your lamb and it's medium WELL'. I refused it. She never apologized and simply wished me a nice evening and walked away. After another 10 minutes the server brought the bill... they wanted me to pay $20 for the lamb I never got and never ate. I asked them if they really believed I'd pay them $20 for the small bowl of soup I ate in place of the lamb??? She said she'd take it off the bill, and she did. As my daughter left the restaurant ahead of us, she overheard the floor manager and another manager complaining about me and saying very insulting things, talking about how they tried to sneak in the $20 charge for the lamb because I was so mean. She interjected and asked if they were really serious, and said they should be glad that I wasn't angrier than I already was. The second manager shouted at her, "I can be vicious too!". She stormed out. As the rest of us left the restaurant a couple minutes later I heard him yelling something at our backs, which I didn't hear or understand, but I'm sure wasn't a 'we look forward to your return'! They don't have to worry; I won't be returning and neither will my family. Sorry... just can't eat lamb cooked until it's dark brown and rock solid, hard. So sad that the owner hasn't been around any longer to keep things going. Seems like his staff may be jeopardizing his successful restaurant and livelihood, which is so very unfortunate. read more

I am gluten-free for health issues and when I asked what items where okay for me to eat the manager came to the table to explain the menu. He proceeded to point out a single item on the menu that "had gluten" in it. I was told everything else was fine and not to worry about it. Hesitant about his response which didn't sound accurate I tried to find things I assumed to be gluten free. I ordered a soup and entree. When my soup arrived sure enough there were noodles in it. Then when the entree arrived the rice I ordered had the same noodles in it. If you have food allergies I would just be aware of the situation because they aren't very knowledgeable. read more

Went to Grand Blanc Labor Day Monday, for dinner. Cross Bow was closed but Taboon was open. My wife and I enjoy Taboons. Food was the best, Shish Kafta was amazing. Service was slow and there was only 2 tables occupied. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again, though, the food was that good! read more

Outstanding! My favorite place in Grand Blanc. The fatoosh salad is the best, don't miss it. I could live on that and the bread with garlic sauce alone. However, the lamb chops are great as is the large platter meal which is great to split and lets you try at least 5 things. You will have leftovers no matter what.
