Just realized that though I've eaten at this restaurant more than any other on the Bentonville Square (at least 20 times), I've still never reviewed it until now. I probably like the atmosphere at this restaurant more than anything else. The food is good, but not spectacular, the service is generally good, and it's always very busy at lunchtime, which is when I usually go. My favorite dish is definitely the Fish Tacos, which are made with grilled Mahi. In my opinion, this is their strongest menu offering, and the best you're going to find in this landlocked area. The Korean BBQ tacos (I believe they are made with skirt steak) are also very yummy. The beef burritto is also quite good, as is the ceviche, though I'm not an expert on this dish. The key lime tres leches cake is TO DIE FOR! You must get this, esp. after an evening meal, or you're going to hate yourself. Best surprise in a long time. This place rivals the best high-end Latin restaurants in my hometown San Francisco Bay Area but at NWA prices. We had the Tlaquepaque sampler, every bit as creative as the town for which it is named. The fish tacos were great as were the butternut squash and spinach enchiladas. Their cucumber collins is something I'll continue to try to recreate at home. And the excellent coffee served in a French press was a delightful ending to a most wonderful meal. read more

Delightful atmosphere and great customer service. The food is average for the high cost. We had the ceviche but had trouble finding any tuna or salmon in it. Also it was made with different ingredients that were not typically used in traditional ceviche. A different twist but not that good. Disappointed in the tres leche cake. They had two flavors. Mango and chocolate. Just serve traditional tres leche and I never go. Play seem to be trying to argue a different kids to some traditional Mexican foods. There's really no need to do this. Just stick with tradition, good ingredients and you'll never go wrong. Food average and cost is a little high for what you get. We spent $80 there and have a feeling of regret. Table Mesa is plenty deserving of the 5 stars! My husband and I had a GREAT experience while visiting Bentonville, and would highly recommend to others. The food and service were superb! In researching restaurants to visit while in town, I saw Table Mesa had an interesting menu and great reviews. I'd probably had it bookmarked on yelp for at least a year (I didn't want to forget about it the next time I visited NW Arkansas!) And it did not disappoint. Although there was a little bit of a wait, it was expected on a Saturday night. While waiting, we were checked on multiple times by members of management (or so I expected), to ensure us that our table would be ready shortly. It was actually kind of fun watching the crew - every member of their team (with the exception of two younger hostesses) were working extremely hard..and efficiently. Which can be a challenge. When we were seated, we had an excellent, cheerful, friendly waitress - I wish I remembered her name, as they are lucky to have her. Per her recommendation, we started with the Queso Fundido. It is a sweeter cheese dip, made with hot pepper jelly and poblano peppers. I love anything with poblano peppers, and this was no exception. I'm pretty sure it also had some heavy cream...by no means the healthiest option on the menu. For our entrees, my husband had the Pollo Con Poblano. I opted for the Carnitas Sandwich. Both were fresh, excellent, and HUGE portion sizes. There was no way I was finishing that sandwich. I can't say enough about our wonderful experience. I also noticed that they just opened a location in Conway, which is closer to home. I have my expections set high - I hope they'll live up to their sister location! read more

This place has a nice ambience and it is what I'd refer to as an upscale Latin American/mex restaurant. I started with the chips and salsa (non complimentary) which were tasty (some plantains mixed in with the tortilla chips). I wanted tacos and my server, Rob, recommended the Korean bbq tacos.....they had very good flavor.the recommendation was spot on...thanks Rob. I did over some other customer rave about the quest which is made with pepper jelly if I heard correctly. I'll have to try that next time I'm in the area. read more

When you've had too much of the frozen, defrosted, heated chain food that saturates this area and want something original and exciting, you'll want to visit Table Mesa. Located on the Bentonville square, this restaurant really fills a void in the Northwest Arkansas dining scene. The menu is packed with inspired, fun selections that mix flavors from Latin, Tex-Mex and Asian dishes into something new. Again, I still can't believe that a place this great exists in our area. Everything I've tried -- tapas, starters, full dishes, and desserts -- have been outstanding. I really love the food truck inspired korean tacos. My favorite menu item is the fried plantains with a fundido sauce. It has a dollop of pepper jelly in the middle -- I cannot stop eating this once I get my first bite. The entire menu begs to be explored The ambience and service are just as exceptional as the food. The location and seating make this place perfect for a nice dinner on a date. Sometimes it gets a bit busy on evenings closer to the weekend, but it's worth the wait. And I'm pleased to see how busy it gets -- we need more establishments like this in our area. read more

Great atmosphere, efficient servers, and good food. I came to this restaurant based on past positive reviews, and I'm glad I did. I came in by myself as I was spending the day studying downtown. They seated me right away at the bar. I was expecting to have slower service due to the location of where I was sitting, but this was not the case. Not a fan. It's not the typical kind of "Mexican". Just make sure you're aware before you go. The food or service wasn't bad. Great location! I love downtown Bentonville. The chips are made out of some kind of plantain and it does cost extra. They have tried to do some type of fancy fusion type of mix mex. My husband and friend complained about the small portions and "weird" chips the entire meal so after receiving the bill that was much higher than we usually pay to eat Mexican, the overall experience wasn't the best for me. read more

Table Mesa has changed their style of brunch from buffet to family style. You are able to order whatever you like and they will bring it to your table until you tell them to stop. The only downside is you have to wait for them to bring it to your table. They do have a omelette and fajita station available. The dessert bar was phenomenal. I love brunch, and this is one of my favorites. Wonderful and reasonably priced. There are of course omelet and dessert stations, but also a carving and fajita station with carnitas, chicken or steak. You also can order from the kitchen cheesy potatoes, bacon, pancakes and French toast at no additional cost. There is also a nice coffee and juice bar. The waitstaff is always prompt and pleasant. Went for Sunday brunch. Make reservations as there was a 30/45 minute wait. Once seated it took about 3-4 minutes for a server to come over. Buffet options are limited but what they do have is pretty good. Everything was fresh and hot. Omelet station had a great variety of options and cooked to perfection. Only suggestion we have is to put the tortillas on the bar. Serving them after you pick up the items is somewhat backwards. read more

While visiting Bentonville we were told to try table Mesa by some nice locals while looking at the Bucky Ball at Crystal Bridges - glad we did! My date ordered a Kobe beef chorizo burger....WOW! I rate it a 14 on a 10 scale! I ordered Pan Seared Salmon w/ crab on top which was very very good but that burger she had was the star! Bust Friday night but a 3 minute wait was all that was needed to seat us. All went well and the food was terrific! read more

The have a great selection of modern Mexican dishes and innovative takes on classic dishes. I had slow-cooked pork tacos last time I went...unreal, they were so good. Also the tres leches (not sure if I spelled that right) cake is ridiculously good. Table Mesa also has a fantastic brunch on the weekends. Similarly to their innovative takes on classic mexican dishes, their brunch items are creative spins on traditional breakfast foods. SUPER good. Both dinner and brunch are a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, a great meal, great atmosphere, great location and swag...we all need that. read more

This restaurant, right on the square in downtown Bentonville, is quite good. Although it is Mexican, it's not really your typical Mexican restaurant, and no one should ever go there expecting standard TexMex fare. The restaurant specializes in more exotic versions of what you might see in a Mexican restaurant. For lunch, their hamburgers cost around $9 but are made from Kobe beef. I especially like the chorizo burger (in which chorizo sausage is mixed in with the beef) which is topped with a fried egg, and the green chili cheese burger. They with great sweet potato fries, a salad, or regular fries. I like all their appetizers (topas) especially the fried calamari, and you have to try the Tres Leches cake ... I've never had anything off the menu I didn't enjoy. read more
