Our guests continue to say it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We had short rib, chicken, salmon, carrots, potatoes, salad and great appetizers. The staff were extremely friendly to all the guests and to us. The entire environment between the food and the staff helped provide an incredible experience. We also booked their venue at Oak & Vine Vineyard Estates which made it an even more smooth wedding weekend. However, things were not as perfect going into the wedding weekend. Long story short, prior to the wedding day I anticipated giving a 2 or 3 star review but due to the outstanding wedding day service I have given a 5 at hopes that my experience before hand was not the normal. High level issues included extremely poor and unprofessional communication over 11+ months, many false promises made, having to pry information from the team, no contract or detailed proposal of expectations, and generally making my wife and I feel in the wrong when asking simple questions. We planned our entire wedding ourselves from Tennessee and we only had two times that we were stressed. One was when deciding who not to invite and then the 11 months working with Oak & Vine catering before my month of coordinator took over after I was nearing my breaking point. I truly hope our experience was rare or a one off. If that's the case I highly recommend this catering company purely because how good the food and the people were on the wedding day. Started out with a welcome spread for our arrival that was an assortment of sandwiches, dips and a charcuterie board that was fantastic. We had her pre-make our breakfasts so that we could heat them up at our leisure every morning. The dinners she prepared on site were outstanding and she even made special items for the five under age 8 kids with us as well as one lactose free menu. The meals were completely amazing on both evenings and her wizardry at having all the different items ready for us at the same time was nothing less than spectacular. First night was Mediterranean themed and included grilled flank steak with chimichurri, garlic and herb grilled chicken, rice pilaf, Parmesan roasted potatoes, grilled zucchini, fresh salad and delicious lemon bars with toasted marshmallows for desert. Night two was a farm to table themed event with braised beef, citrus herb halibut, corn and garlic butter rice, creamy mushroom risotto, green salad with lemon vinaigrette and creamy chocolate cake.
