Great Indian food. After poppadoms with chunky mango salsa and tasty spiced onions, we started with pani puri, which is a fun dish but not the tastiest. They came pre-stuffed and we just poured the sauce in. The chat was excellent, great mint flavour but not overpowering. We also had a dosa, which given the 30 min prep time came with our mains (we knew this beforehand). The sauce was with it was great. The highlight was the mixed tikka platter, the meats were good for Indian food (note: bone in the chicken) but the sauce was sweet and wonderful. Great for dipping naan, especially as it was in a separate dish. The lamb dahi gosht was also a great dish, not very spicy and with plenty of sauce. One garlic naan was enough for three of us and while certainly good naan bread was a touch oily and not the *very* best I've had. One portion of rice was loads. A heaped cereal bowl full. £77 including an adult beverage each. Not a destination in itself, but a restaurant that could hold its own anywhere. Reports from family suggested the loos weren't the best. read more
