I only wish that I had taken more photos of this place because it has to be seen to be believed. The owners spent over a year designing the place and it is really stunning, with glass contemporary chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and ambient back-lighting, beautiful flower arrangements and a long, luxurious bar fully stocked. As for the food, I've always been a fan of their takeaway food and I have to say the restaurant was even better. We all went for the buffet and there was an impeccable selection of starters, main courses, accouterments and desserts. I particularly enjoyed the Tikka Chili Chicken, numnum. The Peshwari Naan was also delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff, as in the takeaway, are fantastic. Chatty, helpful, extremely friendly as they always have been. They gave us a complementary bottle of wine and a few Glava's on the house in honour of my dad's birthday and (as you can see from the photos) a lovely wee cake with a sparkler which we very much enjoyed. Perth has been calling out for a place like this.

The it self is neat, clean, organized and romantically decorated. So if you date! That's the perfect place. They waitress and waiters are professional and talented in treating customers like classy. The background music is amazing as well. I recommend it for all citizens and visitors. Just give it a try and I'm sure won't disappoint.

The restaurant is also very 80s looking inside with black melamine chairs and a fish tank! Although my experience was not good, I have heard good reports from other people, so on this ocassion I am giving Manzil the benefit of the doubt!

The food didn't look very appetising. As far as the starters went, the chicken pakoras, of which there were only a few remaining when i went in quite late, were the best. For the main courses, the tikka masala, korma and chasni all looked thin and off-puttingly luminous in colour. I tried the chicken dupiaza which i found overly sweet, the southern indian chicken, which was hot but not particularly interesting in flavour, and the lamb bhuna, which i found the most flavoursome. The aloo bhaji (potato side dish) was hot and delicous, but i was less taken with the mushroom bhaji. Desserts were dire - mostly mini cakes, none of which looked fresh or appetising. There were refreshing melon and watermelon slices, which is actually a great finish to a curry. If you are remotely conscientious about what your kids eat, this is not the place for you - omelette, burger, chicken nuggets or fish fingersand chips. Not a veggie in sight! The dinner menu is about 12.00 for which you get an extra four curries in the buffet so lunch is definitely the better deal. My waiter was extremely courteous, so sadly the service was at least 100% better than the food. If i am enticed back, it would be purely because of the service which, when it comes to restaurants, is a difficult justification.

The cutlery was filthy as were the plates and bowls. Rice was hard and may have been called rice at some point but certainly wasnt rice any longer. Staff were downright rude, we have since tried to complain over the phone and were insulted and shouted at. Avoid at all costs!!! This place should be shut down, food is not safe for human consumption.

India has one of the richest vegetarian cuisines in the world, yet all Maza can offer for the main buffet course are some very watery lentil dhal, and some potatoes & peas again in some oily water. When I was in 8 months ago the dhal literally had formed a thick skin. Mmmm delicious! The starters on offer were pre-bought samosas, spring rolls, potato wedges, potato slices & veg pakora. They did have some aubergine pakora slices which looked homemade tho. Chicken pakora, spicy drumsticks again looked pre-bought. There was a small 'salad bar' featuring very watered down coleslaw, tinned sweetcorn, and some spicy lentils, basic sliced cucumber, tomato, shredded lettuce. There was the usual array of rice, (oven) chips, various naans (rubbery) & poppadoms (soft rather than crisp, as if stale). Dessert was the standard bought in cheap cheesecakes cut in miniscule slivers, jelly, mini supermarket doughnuts etc. The ice cream freezer needs replaced, as the handle has broken off, making it almost impossible to open without physically sliding the door with your hand flat on the surface. Personally I never visited the toilets, but my mother did, and found them less than fresh/clean. My mother had chicken pakora, chicken drumsticks, and some chicken curry which she said were tasty enough but nothing special. Previously cutlery was available by the buffet, but this has now been removed, as if to discourage return visits and I had to request another set when my plate was cleared away. The staff were friendly, and very efficient at clearing away used plates, it's just a shame the food doesn't match their standards.
