5 Stars -- They Really Turned Things Around I originally left a very negative review after a frustrating experience with a reservation and the way we were treated when we arrived. At the time, I was extremely disappointed and honestly didn't think I would come back. But I have to give credit where credit is due. I've been back to Tabac Plus several times since then, and the experience has completely changed. The service, organization, hospitality, and overall experience have improved tremendously. It's clear that the team took customer feedback seriously and actually made an effort to do better. What I appreciate most is seeing a business take criticism, make changes, and genuinely improve rather than simply responding to a bad review. My recent visits have been great, and the staff have been much more welcoming and attentive. I'm happy to update my original review because I believe businesses deserve recognition when they make real improvements. Ahmet, the "host," must've missed the part of his job description that says manage reservations. He's way too busy running a social club at the door -- letting his friends skip the line, chatting up girls, and collecting phone numbers like it's speed dating night. We showed up early for our reservation, silly us thinking that meant we'd actually get a table. An hour later, still waiting, while Ahmet's buddies are already halfway through their appetizers. Every time we asked, we got the same robotic answer: "I can't make people leave." Yeah, but apparently you can make everyone else wait. If you're into watching a host flirt, play favorites, and pretend to be busy while doing absolutely nothing helpful, you'll love it here. I would give zero stars if I could. If you offer reservations, respect people's time or don't take them at all. I fell for the fake reviews and obviously they try to delete reviews if it's against them which is sad !!! Freaking scam We made a reservation and arrived right on time, but still had to wait over an hour with no updates. The host said he couldn't make people leave, but during that time, we saw at least 4 or 5 groups without reservations being seated right away -- all of them seemed to be his Turkish friends. That's very disrespectful and unfair to paying customers who booked in advance. If you can't manage reservations properly, don't take so many. I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other places downtown that actually respect their customers and their time. read more

Honestly I've given this place a try 3 times hoping time will make it better but it's actually getting worse... the last time I came here with reservations they put us on the side tables where they smoke cigars and I don't make reservations to be sitting outside of the restaurant. I liked the tomatoes and red onions in there. I would sometimes put some of my salad and cucumbers inside the wrap and other times eat the salad by itself. It had an interesting spice on to of the oil dressing. I ate the whole darn thing!! Food was fresh and delicious! We sat on the patio (and indoor seating is also available). I put the pita down on the bottom of the takeaway tray to absorb some of the goodness. I sent a photo to my Turkish friend and she confirmed it was the real deal and even she was craving it through the picture! Staff were incredibly sweet and made my experience even better. I will definitely be back!

We really appreciated that offer. All in all, my Callie experience was superb and the hype is real. This is a really good Mediterranean restaurant and I'd highly recommend for others to try. It only comes with one piece but you can order more if you want. The ricotta/honey spread with the focaccia was amazing. To be honest, we didn't love the focaccia itself. I think maybe it was a little oily for our taste but the dip was so good it didn't matter. We also ordered the Callie Fire Sauce. It's very good. They give you a little bottle and then you just take the rest home with you. Our next course was the uni toast. I'm not a huge uni fan but this was so good. You must get this if you go...it's so unique and the flavors compliment each other so well. Extremely impressive dish. We followed with the lemon saffron pasta which also had uni (this time I skipped it) but the pasta and sauce was very tasty. We ended with the Aleppo chicken and potatoes. Skip the potatoes. We weren't sure which vegetable we wanted, I panicked and said potatoes...get something else, they aren't terrible but looking at other tables, all their vegetables looked much better. The chicken though...oh my...hands down our favorite dish. I was so full but kept eating it, I couldn't stop. I literally kept eating knowing I was taking up space in my stomach that is normally reserved for dessert and did it anyway. It was a difficult decision but I have zero regrets. Highly recommend.
