**Title: A Smoky Delight at Tabac+** If you're looking for an exceptional hookah experience, look no further than Good Tabac+. They offer a wide variety of flavors that cater to all tastes--whether you prefer fruity, minty, or something more exotic, there's something for everyone. Each hookah is expertly prepared, ensuring the perfect balance of flavor and smoke density. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in their hookah setups. My favorite was the [Your Favorite Flavor], which had a perfect blend of [describe the flavor profile]. It's easily one of the best I've tried! **Service: ** What sets Good Tabac+ apart is their outstanding customer service. 5 Stars - A Hidden Gem in San Diego! Tabac+ is hands down one of my favorite spots in the city. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, vibrant atmosphere that blends modern style with cozy Mediterranean vibes. The menu is amazing - a perfect mix of Turkish and Mediterranean flavors. Their appetizers are full of flavor (highly recommend the hummus and dolma), and the main dishes are beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The desserts are just as impressive - don't leave without trying the künefe with ice-cream! What really sets Tabac+ apart is their mocktail selection. It's rare to find a place that takes non-alcoholic drinks so seriously, and they do it so well. Every mocktail is refreshing, creative, and crafted with the same care you'd expect from a high-end cocktail bar. The hookah experience is top-notch - smooth, flavorful, and well-maintained with plenty of options. It's a great place to unwind with friends, enjoy the music, and soak in the chill ambiance. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Tabac+ is more than just a restaurant - it's a full experience. Whether you're coming for dinner, dessert, hookah, or just a late-night hangout with friends, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend! read more

5 Stars -- They Really Turned Things Around I originally left a very negative review after a frustrating experience with a reservation and the way we were treated when we arrived. At the time, I was extremely disappointed and honestly didn't think I would come back. But I have to give credit where credit is due. I've been back to Tabac Plus several times since then, and the experience has completely changed. The service, organization, hospitality, and overall experience have improved tremendously. It's clear that the team took customer feedback seriously and actually made an effort to do better. What I appreciate most is seeing a business take criticism, make changes, and genuinely improve rather than simply responding to a bad review. My recent visits have been great, and the staff have been much more welcoming and attentive. I'm happy to update my original review because I believe businesses deserve recognition when they make real improvements. Tabac Plus has definitely won me back as a customer, and I'm glad I gave them another chance. 5 stars from me now. Keep up the great work read more

Ahmet, the "host," must've missed the part of his job description that says manage reservations. He's way too busy running a social club at the door -- letting his friends skip the line, chatting up girls, and collecting phone numbers like it's speed dating night. We showed up early for our reservation, silly us thinking that meant we'd actually get a table. An hour later, still waiting, while Ahmet's buddies are already halfway through their appetizers. Every time we asked, we got the same robotic answer: "I can't make people leave." Yeah, but apparently you can make everyone else wait. If you're into watching a host flirt, play favorites, and pretend to be busy while doing absolutely nothing helpful, you'll love it here. For everyone else -- bring a snack, because your "reservation" means nothing. Zero stars if I could, but Ahmet probably wouldn't let me post that either. read more

Ahmet, the "host," deserves an award -- not for hosting, but for turning the front door into his own personal playground. Managing reservations? Not his thing. Making sure his buddies waltz right in? Oh, absolutely. Getting girls' numbers and promising to "get them in next time"? That's his real job. We showed up early for our reservation, thinking that meant something. Rookie mistake. An hour later, we're still standing there while Ahmet is busy networking, flirting, and pretending to be important. Ask for an update, and you get the classic shrug and "I can't make people leave." Sure, but somehow he can make his friends appear out of thin air and straight to a table. If you want dinner and a show, come watch Ahmet's "host performance." It's part rom-com, part circus, all chaos. The restaurant should just rename itself Ahmet's Waiting Room. read more

We visited Tabac+ for a Turkish brunch for two and were absolutely blown away. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the beautifully presented dishes, everything exceeded our expectations. The brunch menu was a delightful fusion of authentic Turkish flavors--each bite was packed with fresh ingredients and thoughtful seasoning. The house-made pastries, spreads, and fresh breads were especially memorable, and the traditional Turkish coffee was a perfect finish. The staff was attentive and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home. The setting is stylish yet relaxed, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely weekend meal. I would give zero stars if I could. If you offer reservations, respect people's time or don't take them at all. I fell for the fake reviews and obviously they try to delete reviews if it's against them which is sad !!! Freaking scam We made a reservation and arrived right on time, but still had to wait over an hour with no updates. The host said he couldn't make people leave, but during that time, we saw at least 4 or 5 groups without reservations being seated right away -- all of them seemed to be his Turkish friends. That's very disrespectful and unfair to paying customers who booked in advance. If you can't manage reservations properly, don't take so many. I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other places downtown that actually respect their customers and their time. read more

I had a reservation for four, and while I understand the place is fairly new, the service was honestly unacceptable. We waited nearly 25-30 minutes just to get water, and no one checked in on us unless we flagged them down. As someone who's worked in hospitality, this was frustrating to witness. The food was passable at best, nothing worth returning for. What surprised us most was the lack of atmosphere. The music felt like an afterthought low volume, generic playlist, and no cohesion with the setting. For a venue that clearly invested in aesthetics, the energy fell completely flat. A live DJ, or even an ethnic percussionist or ambient-style performer, could transform the experience and bring the space to life. As it stands, it's a beautiful shell with no real soul. read more

Our server Jasmine was friendly and speedy with taking our order and filling drinks. Food seems to take a minute but it was worth the wait. Big portions, fresh ingredients and overall very tasty. Our table ordered the hummus appetizer, a panini, a wrap and a salad. My order was the Strawberry Date Salad with Chicken - may have been one of the best salads I've ever had and it was huge. I'm local to SD and enjoy fresh salads and fruits all the time but this one was just outstanding. Price for the size of portions and quality is hard to match.

We came here for date night and omg, absolutely phenomenal. The restaurant itself is cute, I love…read morethe tile work. We were lucky and got a table for two right by the kitchen so we got to watch everything being made and coming out. So fun!! Everyone was very attentive and friendly. They check every dish before it goes out and little things like folding your napkin when you walk away from the table, pouring water in a way so their arm doesn't block your face, and giving you new plates and silverware each course, etc. It's things like that which truly differentiate one restaurant from another. We started with the hummus and a focaccia special. I would have licked the hummus bowl if no one had been watching. It was so good as was the homemade pita that came with it. It only comes with one piece but you can order more if you want. The ricotta/honey spread with the focaccia was amazing. To be honest, we didn't love the focaccia itself. I think maybe it was a little oily for our taste but the dip was so good it didn't matter. We also ordered the Callie Fire Sauce. It's very good. They give you a little bottle and then you just take the rest home with you. Our next course was the uni toast. I'm not a huge uni fan but this was so good. You must get this if you go...it's so unique and the flavors compliment each other so well. Extremely impressive dish. We followed with the lemon saffron pasta which also had uni (this time I skipped it) but the pasta and sauce was very tasty. We ended with the Aleppo chicken and potatoes. Skip the potatoes. We weren't sure which vegetable we wanted, I panicked and said potatoes...get something else, they aren't terrible but looking at other tables, all their vegetables looked much better. The chicken though...oh my...hands down our favorite dish. I was so full but kept eating it, I couldn't stop. I literally kept eating knowing I was taking up space in my stomach that is normally reserved for dessert and did it anyway. It was a difficult decision but I have zero regrets. Highly recommend.

Zero misses here…read more The Aleppo chicken is grilled to order, crisp-skinned and seriously juicy, with a portion that doesn't hold back. The harissa lamb chops were tender and perfectly charred. The babaghanoush is smoky and silky, maybe a touch salty, but the fresh-from-the-oven pita fixes everything. Warm, soft, and so good we ordered a second one. Service was excellent throughout: fresh silverware between courses, perfect timing, zero fuss. Save room for the Turkish rice pudding. That caramelized crust on top is the best bite of the night. Everything we ordered landed. We'll be back.
