In short 3.5 stars rounded up for quality of care. The…read morebuilding/facility doesn't make for a welcoming setting, but the people are nice and everything goes smoothly. In long 4 months ago, my lovely bride had a massive stroke, and she has a long road to recovery. One of her neurologists referred her here as part of her care. She needs to wake up the muscles and nerves on her left side, and reduce pain and spasm at the same time. This definitely helps. We pulled up on the east side of the building, and there's a big sign announcing the business. It's not until you get up to the door that you see a tiny little sign saying that the massage clinic is on the other side of the building, and you've arrived at the hair salon side. Evidently, the owner has 2 professional passions she has combined into one enterprise that goes from one side of the building to the other. Since my wife still uses a chair to get around for a while longer, this was pretty frustrating, but the front desk guy realized he hadn't warned us over the phone, and he caught us before we loaded back up to go around the building. (Incidentally, this side of the building qualifies as accessible--but the blackberries and trash do get in the way when you come through the curb cut). Since we had a professional referral, our insurance was all set up in their system and there was no copay. Hitting your out-of-pocket max for the year has its perks! Looks like some other reviewers hit snags with insurance paperwork but that was not the case at all for us. We did some paperwork that took maybe 5 minutes. Dude called us 10 minutes before the appointment to let us know we'd be doing paperwork...what he hadn't done was let us know more than 10 minutes before the appointment that it would help to be early. Thankfully, since we were the only ones in the place, this didn't jack up their schedule (or ours). We worked with an awesome clinician who really knows her stuff and helped loosen up my bride's limbs a ton. She had an easier time walking, moving her arm, flexing her hand, and so on. Better than she's been able to do in several days, actually. We got some great tips about home therapies, too. Now, this is a dark building, inside and out. The hallways are narrow. The furniture is old and rickety. But they play soft music, they're pleasant, and they're organized. Best of all, they know what they're doing, and the therapeutic massage is truly therapeutic. We have at least a dozen visits covered, I think, and we'll use all of them for sure. This really helps.

He made me feel great and as a result enjoyed a week of being able to enjoy my life. After that massage I made more appointments and was disappointed that I couldn't schedule more with this person. He only works early (he had explained this and spoke with disrespect for those who can't get up early and make it to an early appointment). In the week following my appointment I was notified that an early appointment had opened up. I took it. A few days later the receptionist called to say that she has a hard time getting to the office by 9 a.m. on Sundays. She went on to explain that if she isn't there, to just go around to the back because a door will be open and to just come in. When I arrived the office was dark. I knocked. I peered through the window. A light was on in the back of the building. I walked around in the rain. As I entered I was berated by the masseuse because he didn't want me coming in the open back door as I had been instructed. We ended up having a quarrel. I would rather continue living my life in pain than have anyone at this sloppy and dingy business. You will be hapoier going somewhere else.

This was an injury that kept me from my running schedule for MONTHS!! And in two visits, she was able to address inflammation in my fascia, tackle the Achilles' tendon and just make me feel nurtured overall. She also recommended it was time for new running shoes and she was absolutely correct! It's like a night and day difference. Marie has gone above and beyond to help me both times I've seen her. I mean, really top shelf! I was amazed at her immense kindness, passion for her work and generous spirit. She educated me on so much about my body and I'm so grateful, which is why I'm now more than happy to consider her a friend.

I have no idea if the massage here is good or not because we never got to have one. If you look at…read morerecent reviews for this business (sort by date), you will see a pattern. The massage therapists might be the greatest in the world, but the business side is terrible. Poor communications. Poor scheduling, Reschedules. Cancellations. Etc. Our appointment moved three times, and then we hit traffic and were going to be five to ten minutes late (after driving for 45 minutes to get there), and they wanted to cancel and reschedule or shorten the massage. No thanks. They need to fix their scheduling if they want to stay in business.

Believe me when I say Linda does a wonderful job and makes it as painless as possible!  I was very impressed with her knowledge and care from the get go.  She is professional, yet incredibly compassionate and very easy to talk to.  More importantly, she is ethical. Her studio is also cozy, neat and clean which helps me relax well! I love that I'm conveniently able to self schedule my appointments on the Gloss Genius app. Be sure to take an ibuprofen or two within an hour of your appointment.  I take two every time and it helps a lot even if I have sensitive skin.  The smooth end result is always really worth the hard work & pain! You also get a free touch up a week after your first visit & a complimentary pair of exfoliating gloves to take home. It's painful, but stick with it. Before you know it, you'll be braving your waxes more easily and looking forward to them! :)

I booked the "Look Better Naked" package, which consisted of a sauna session, body scrub, and wrap. First, I was led to a private changing room to leave my items, grab my robe and slippers, and get ready. Then I went in the infrared sauna for 30 minutes and was able to take breaks and grab water in my own secluded area. Rachel met me here when the time was up and we did my scrub! She dry brushed me first, then wet scrubbed, followed by a full rinse (my first time being rinsed laying down- honestly kinda fun). She was thorough and had great knowledge of lymphatic drainage! Rachel also checked in with me from time to time to see if the pressure was okay or if anything was sensitive. Post-scrub, I went to wait in the relaxation room. There was an old man in jeans and sneakers in there trying to make conversation with me while I was in a robe, which I hated. But not a reflection of the business, just an odd place for him to be. Next I did a mud wrap which was warming and honestly comfy while Rachel gave me an amazing head massage. I got rinsed again, then covered in lotion, and was ready to go! My skin was baby soft after the treatment and I felt so good. The front desk staff and Rachel were all lovely and I can't wait to return! I do wish they had online scheduling, as it was challenging at times to reach over the phone. But they were flexible and able to get me in quickly.

I've had many facials and this one wasn't the best. She never asked me about my skin and didn't do any extractions. I'm unsure of the products she used but they did add moisture to my skin, which is good. The massage felt nice. I like to feel like my pores are clean or something was done to remove the gunk and I didn't get that here. It was just painting on product and wiping it off. Part of the steam machine fell and hit me in the face, which was an accident but still not great. The spa music playing on the Alexa had commercials every couple songs which took away from the relaxation. Then the music shut off with about 20m left so I just listened to all the noise from the complex. Also while she gave me my facial, she was listening to her own music in her AirPods and was singing under her breath a lot which was super annoying. I don't know if she was aware she was singing out loud. I was happy I had gift cards. I recently lost my job so I would have been more upset if I was paying $145 for what I got.
