My family and I went to the Toledo Repertoire Theatre on our trip to watch Amadeus…read more The play was wonderfully acted, especially by the actor who played Antonio Salieri. This play gives a fictional account of the lives of composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, imagining a rivalry between the two at the court of Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

I've seen a few shows here my favorite being the Avett Bros. There isn't a bad view IMO and the…read moresound is great. As with the rest of the zoo structures the amphitheater is beautiful. Why the 3 stars you ask? The seats are absolutely horrific. Its a metal bench seat with a bar across your shoulder blades. Even worse the bar is reclined. So you're in this weird position with absolutely no back support while your butt goes numb. You are not allowed to bring in a bleacher seat and if you could it wouldn't fit in the tiny numbered space alloted per person. It would be better to remove the seats and have people sit on the ground kind of Red Rocks style.

Great place for a show. It's an older, beautiful stone structure. It's a smaller venue with great…read moresound. Seating is folding chairs on the floor and benches in the upper sections. There are plenty of places to buy drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcohol near the entrances. Security personnel and all of the workers at the drink stations were nice and professional. I would definitely go back to a show here.

Saw A Taste of Ireland at this theater. I'll start with the not so great. It is an older theater…read moreand is in some disrepair. The fabric on the back of my chair was torn and the padding was showing/coming out. The bulkhead had a board covering what I assume is a hole. The worst part for us (we were on the upper level) is that the seats are very old and VERY small and tightly spaced. I am 5'9" and my knees were crammed into the chair in front of me. Everyone (except the very smallest people) were spilling over into their neighbors. On the positive side, I think whomever runs it is trying their best to make improvements. The seats on the main floor had been redone- are large and spacious with plenty of leg room. Being a smaller theater the acoustics are also amazing. Overall, I would come again but only if I can get tickets on the main floor.

The Tap teacher, Miss Kaylee, is amazing. The Recreational Dance teacher, Miss Stephanie, is also amazing. I really have nothing negative to say about any of the teachers, they have all been wonderful with my girls. One thing I love about this studio is you can talk to the owner/teacher, Miss Veronica, and she will come up with a dance plan/curriculum that works for your child and revolves around their interest in the dance styles. I have made a couple really good mom friends here and my daughters are very happy at this studio. I really can't say enough positive things about Inspire Devotion/Gravity Dance Company! ~Angela

What a nice little stadium in a charming town! With wonderful baseball to boot!…read more The Toledo Mud Hens, at the time of my visit here, were the AAA affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. I'd seen the visiting team -- the Saint Paul Saints -- but it was back in their Northern League Days when Mike Veeck owned the team. Either way, this was outstanding baseball in a wonderful environment. As I've mentioned in other ballpark reviews, I'm a former broadcaster who has seen hundreds of baseball games at all levels across the country. Though I've been to plenty of MLB games (dating back to the days of Arlington Stadium, Veterans Stadium, Shea Stadium and the former Yankees Stadium), I'm still partial to minor league baseball. Sure, I enjoyed seeing the likes of Juan Gonzalez smashing balls into the parking lot and Curt Schilling striking out 16 Yankees (that was in 1997, and I loved it with all my heart), but seeing players who are trying to make it to the show -- or trying to make it back, such as so many players on the Mud Hens -- brings me greater joy. Seeing a game in Toledo was a bucket list thing for me, if only because of Jamie Farr's character on MASH. With such a nice little stadium and wonderful baseball to boot, I wish I'd come sooner. A couple of caveats though. First, I've paid less for parking at a Coldplay concert. Further, at least those lots took cards. (These guys only take cash, but I'm sure the parking lot owners report their earnings to the IRS -- NOT!) Secondly, the hot dogs at this park are saltier than the Black Sea. Thank God I took a double dose of Amlodipine! But seriously, I'd come back here in a second.
