We ordered a large sub with hot ham, corn beef, lettuce, tomato, onion with thousand island dressing. The potato salad looked good so a cup of that also. The sub was huge. The potato salad was the best I've ever had (as good if not better than homemade). You could tell they really care about quality here (boars head cold cuts). They have a pleasant seating area to sit with a tv and several tables. I know it's inside a gas station but I don't care because if I lived closer I would visit often. It is a typical deli you order at the corner and wait while they make it but it's definitely much better than other delis.

I've been wanting to try their Sicilian-style pizza for quite some time, and my birthday cookie…read morereward finally gave me the perfect excuse to celebrate. They already have a fantastic thin-crust pizza, so I asked if they could make the Sicilian style with the muffuletta toppings. No problem at all. It took a little longer than expected (ordered for 4:45, ready at 5:00), but it was absolutely worth the wait. Ordering is easy online or by phone. If you get voicemail, just call back - they're probably on the phone with another customer. Now, about that pizza. The thick Sicilian crust had the perfect chew: light and airy inside with a crisp, golden bottom. Every bite was loaded with the bold salty toppings, bringing a savory, slight spice/pickled kick that paired perfectly with the oils and melted cheese. The toppings reached edge to edge, creating a pizza that was hearty, flavorful, and impossible to put down. Please pencil in a visit to The Deli on a Wednesday to grab one of their pizzas. I do recommend ordering ahead to claim your dough. This version reads like a Yelp review and really highlights the texture and flavor of a loaded Sicilian pie.

I was going to order a chicken parm but had that for dinner the night before so went with a meatball. Gf went with a veggie grinder. It's just an efficient system for making subs and transferring them into my mouth. I said hi to the lady at the counter, and our brief conversation led me to believe that she was also hungover. Sensing this kindred spirit, I asked, "If you were me, what would you order?" "Hot steak sub," came the immediate answer. I believed her, and appreciated that she didn't react with disgust at the thought of being me. So I got a hot steak sub. The largest size they had, with mushrooms and peppers and onions and provolone. It came out, and it was massive. And delicious. Tender steak, plenty of flavor, everything I needed in that moment. I only ate about 3/4 of it, because I knew I'd regret eating the whole thing. Not because of what it would do to my insides, but because my wife loves a steak sub, and I wanted to bring her some.
