Walked in trying to do a PokémonGo raid at the location (day after the new Pokémon Sword Shield release) and was upfront and honest about wanting a warm place to do it and a girl with a long ass name "Efjyenya" or some shit says we can't just be in the store doing nothing. Scamming. Deceiving and liars. Went in for new devices (iPhones) during the new iPhone 6 release period, was told that we would receive all these promotional items (speaker, iPhone case, etc) for free part of the new release special. End up showing up on our TMOBILE bill in Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) section. We were CHARGED for it, it WASN'T FREE, FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS. They will treat you REALLY good but they're obviously lying to make commission/bonus off the items that are supposedly "free". Went back to return the items and was told that you can't. Luckily, I manage to sell all those items via ebay. Save yourself the trouble and don't make the trip here, go somewhere else. read more

I've had a love-hate relationship with T-Mobile for years. In general, I have gotten decent service from the stores but have had some trouble with their policies, billing and service. After a long time of trying to decide whether to switch to a Verizon iphone, I decided to stick with T-Mobile because, as it turns out, Verizon iphones don't work well in the lower level where I have my office. T-Mobile works fine. Anyway, I went to the 86th St. store and got excellent service from Monica and the guy there whose name I can't remember (starts with E, I think). The store was clean and not overcrowded at the late hour I was there. Both employees really helped me with my decision about which new phone to get. I know I was a difficult customer because I was being excessively indecisive. I am 100% sure they helped me reach the right decision. read more

My 5 reflects my long standing loyalty and great appreciation for what T-Mobile has done/provided for me. I know everyone while have their own opinions on their providers, but I am a big fan of T-Mobile since the days of Voice Stream. I dabbled with Sprint, back when the cell phones were bricks with green back lit screens, At&T when Razor first came out and even "Helio", the next wave of hotness turned to crap. I've always had T-Mo, and opened temporary lines with the mentioned carriers/services above to try out their phones I liked at the time, but my ever faithful T-Mo always provided the best service coverage. And the customer service medal goes to T-Mo. As for the store itself, I meet an associate, Manny Cabrera...and he is a really cool dude, he in fact is responsible for this 5 of 5. He introduced me to my (iphone 4 killa!!) G2x and I have never been so attached to my phone than ever before. I've had the razor, sidekick II, dash 1 and 2, freedom, moto cliq xt, gravity 2, 3 other flip phones, 1 bar phone, and the helio slide...G2x takes it completely!!!! I went to this store in December and I was told T Mobile had a holiday promotion. I needed 3 lines. I wanted to find a better price for my service, Verizon is too expensive and they didn't help me lower my bill. The sales person and the store manager offered me a free tablet and a JbL speaker that would be discounted on the bill. They offered me a free line but I declined the extra line and advised them I only need the 3 lines. They told me to qualify for the unlimited plan all customers need to be on auto pay. Two weeks later I get a bill for $192 and I called customer service to active the free Netflix included to find out they was charging me for the tablet service $10, the speaker $12.50, and extra data HD charges on two line that cost me $15 each. I was also advised that on my account I was given 4 lines and a tablet line. Additionally to qualify for the auto pay plan auto pay is not required and is just a auto pay discount of $5 for each line. The JBL was not discounted, the only discount I was given was the $5 line discount for having auto pay. My bill would have only been $140 taxes included with free Netflix but I was charged and extra $52 and i was misinformed in the offer and how it works. I went back to the store and requested to return the tablet and the speaker. Explained to the sales person that I did not wish to have a 4th line and that I was not getting a discount for the speaker and that I understood the tablet was free but that I was being charged for the tablet service. I was refused a refund and requested to talk with the store manager, she was rude and unprofessional addressing my issue. She refused to give her name and correct my plan. I called customer service to fix my bill and not all the charges was refunded back to me. This store is horrible and I plan to cancel my service! read more

So, what is it about T-Mobile (love-hate) ??? IT'S A GOOD VALUE/BAD SERVICE/SNEAKY FEE situation..a classic business school case of a good brand that doesn't understand how to retain customers. 1. People dig the Brand. It is a sub of Deutche Telekom in Germany. The Network is non-CDMA, so you get more flexibility, can bring your own phone and get GOOD reception in most areas. I brought a NOKIA unlocked phone and never had a beef with signal strength. 2. T-Mobile wants to be the UN CARRIER, focus less on locking people up with contracts, like in Europe. Nice. However, they charge you a fee each month to pay your bill online...not a big fan of that noise. Some of the promotions have a lot of fine print and hoops to jump through, so it's really no bargain. I think that pisses off a lot of bargain-hunters. 3. Anyway, call Customer Service (Philippines) and it all goes to sh*** quickly. You end up answering the same questions over and over until they let you access your own account to fix something they screwed up in the first place. However, the Filipinos are very conciliatory, but in the end, most people leave T-Mobile over a dispute, overcharge or extra fee. . read more

Worst tmobile store I've been too. The staff here don't know how to do their jobs. They fucked up my etf, and my father in law's etf too. When you come here the place isn't welcoming at all. And the staff clearly has no idea what they're doing. We came here today to inquire for the jump upgrade and they told us their system is down. Oh really? How come the store in 82nd st jackson heights is accepting upgrades? No wonder the store in 82nd st is full of customers while this lonely store is empty. They just said that the system is down so they don't have to work knowing it's a busy day because of fhe pre-orders for the iphone 6. What a bunch of lazy assholes! If you have to go to a tmobile store, go to the one in 82nd st Jackson Heights. The staff there are very knowledgeable and their customer service is superb. Had a great experience here on Saturday. I've been a customer for a long time and this store pleasantly surprised me with their great customer service skills. They didn't rush me out of the store and took the time to help me set up my new phone. All my friends will now know this is the place to go. I was in there on January 6, 2017 in the evening. There was a tall Latino guy with blonde streaks, a manager I think, who had 2 or 3 guys come in there to see him. They were all behind the register, talking and distracting him and his colleagues from working. One of them was watching the screen as my information was pulled up. After being with Sprint for more than 10 years I decided to finally switch to Tmobile. What a big mistake!!! I switched over 4 phones and it took more than 3 hours for them to get everything transferred over. Not only that but since I have switched I have had sooo many problems with them. I asked them to have two people as authorized users on the plan, they never did. I received a text message from them one day stating that my phone will be cut off since the bill was not paid (I never received the bill) When I called and asked them to send me a bill, they never did and again I received a message stating that my service would be shut off since my bill was not paid! Also they advertise that they will pay the termination fees.. well what they do not tell you is that they refuse to pay the taxes that go along with the termination - in my situation that was more than $40! They tell you that there is no contract but the reality is that you are paying for the phone for two years which is similar to a contract. Also the service of the actual phone is horrible. Having been with Sprint I did not have to call them once, but now that I am with Tmobile I feel like I call them all the time. It seems like at this location no one knows what is going on and always seems to be some type of mistake made, not to mention to long wait times! Think long and hard before you decide to switch to Tmobile! Big mistake I ever made! read more
