I made the mistake of walking in to this repair store off the street. We were looking for a simple…read morescreen replacement of an iPhone 6. The price quoted seemed reasonable and they offered to do it while we waited. After 30 minutes the phone was ready and the results seemed good enough for us. The next day we began to notice some serious battery drain issues with the phone, literally going from 100% to empty in a few hours. This was a surprise given there were no battery issues in prior use but my first thought was it just takes some time for the battery to adjust to the new screen. Three days later and the battery has not gotten better so we spoke with the store both in person and over the phone. The response was the battery is past useful life and they could replace it for a discounted price. I'm no electrical engineer but a battery's useful life doesn't just happen to end overnight - conveniently when someone opens it up and pokes around. This store is definitely some kind of sketchy telling me it is just an old battery. I reiterate that there were no issues with battery life until literally the day after they did their "quality" repair. Didn't offer a refund or any sort of help so I won't be going back or giving any praise. Maybe I'm wrong but I haven't seen a convincing argument proving their theory and most of what I read online says when a 3rd party does a repair and battery issues are seen the likely cause is a short or faulty wiring. Hopefully our loss can provide some help for others.

I went online to find stores that repair iPhone screens, and thankfully I found this place. I called in advance for a quote then quickly brought my phone in. I had no idea if it'd be possible to fix my screen within a few hours since I thought it was pretty badly cracked. The lady there told me to come back in 1.5 hours and wrote me a receipt! I was a little skeptical to leave my phone in the store, but people and service are casual in Chinatown so I decided to take the chance. Wow, though -- I am SO happy. My phone screen looks good as new and they gave me a screen protector! I just paid in cash in the amount we agreed on and was good to go. This was probably 1/4 the price of what I'd be asked if I went to an Apple store. A few things to note: Even though my phone was very badly cracked, the phone itself still worked. Also, I have an iPhone 6 so it's a bit older (and cheaper) to fix. Finally, I was five minutes away from the store so I could easily and conveniently communicate with the woman who was working the desk. As someone who's Chinese-American but from suburban Connecticut, I think it's tough to trust seemingly "less professional" stores than larger establishments like Apple, but most places I've explored in Chinatown basically do the same, or better, work while charging significantly less. I'd highly recommend this store for quick and casual yet high-quality and affordable service!
