Be careful trusting the workers at this store. I was lied to about a cheaper plan and received a massive bill the following month. They told me the plan would save me money. It did not it cost me more and then i was changed for two extra lines I never asked for. I do not recommend this store and I won't be back. read more

My parents came in here to get service with t-mobile, they called me back saying that the employees where rude didn't wanna give them information they were told that it was 140 monthly for 2 lines when my dad asked for a senior plan clearly they need more training because Magenta 55+ plan is 80 monthly, They also asked for info on device promo and the representative that didn't help told them they had no promos. When T-Mobile has a lot of smart pick choices on free devices for new lines, or also BOGO promos. so the employees not helping pissed me off. I'm a manager myself for a T-Mobile Location in San Diego and this is Not okay with me you guys need to make sure what kind of employees you hire. DO NOT GO TO THIS T-MOBILE STORE. I upgraded my phone here, they offered a trade-in promotion for my old phone. When there were problems transferring my data from old phone to my new phone, I begged them not to do anything until i could come back and get my old phone to figure it out. Destiny V. promised no one would touch my phone until I could come back for it, but also told me i could not have my old phone back. I asked to speak to a manager. She said I could, but said the manager would tell me same thing. Obviously I was extremely distraught because ALL of my data, messages, photos, notes, files were stored ON my phone, and not all in the cloud. They said no manager would be in until Friday. I went there first thing on Friday, to be met with another dismissive nonchalant employee, Joey, the manager. He told me that my phone was already shipped. I almost fainted. I begged him and told him I was promised that no one would touch my phone until i got there to talk to him. He then went and checked the boxes and pulled my phone out. But he said there's nothing on it. It appeared to have been reset. Again, I was extremely distraught because I was promised that no one would reset my phone or even touch my phone until I could come back to talk to the manager. Finally I convinced the manager to let me take it, to go to an Apple Store to see if they could retrieve any of my data off the phone. I took it to an Apple Store the next day, they diagnosed my old phone, and saw that it had been ERASED on Thursday, 30 minutes after I spoke to Destiny and she assured me no one would touch it until I got there on Friday. I was devastated. The Apple Store employee said phones do not get erased in the transfer process even if it fails, and that they only get erased if someone does it intentionally. It cannot get erased by accident. He said the process that T-mobile used to lock in my trade in, without assuring that my data was properly backed up and safe, and then erasing my device before giving me a chance to save my data, was extremely unprofessional, incompetent, and he's never heard of a cell phone store deleting a customer's data in that way. I'm still devastated and have spent hours trying to figure out how to get T-mobile to take responsibility for this horrific store's actions. They've only made one thing right, which is that after the store manager, Joey, called me and told me that if I didn't return my old phone to them, they would report it stolen (yeah, appalling), T-mobile customer support assured me that it would not be tagged as lost or stolen under these circumstances. They also seemed appalled at the store's treatment of this situation, but seemed powerless to deal with them other than to file a complaint. I've tried to notify the store of the fact that I have proof that they deleted my data from my phone, wiped it, and to find out what they can do to make it right, and also deal with the rude dismissive employees, so I don't have to resort to legal action. BUT, they don't answer the phone when I call, and they refused to give T-Mobile customer service the contact information of anyone higher than Joey the manager. I was lied to to upgrade my account. I was told my third line would be free. That manager has since been fired. Now the offer no resolution. I received no calls back as I was told I would. The current manager promised me things but never delivered or called me back. I dealt with t mobile customer service. They told me several times they would call me back but never did. Today I called and they basically told me if I don't like it I should quit service with them. Makes it hard when they know they have me locked in with an equipment contract. I understand mistakes. But expect it to be fixed when they realize it was their mistake. read more

Regarding the tehachapi T-Mobile store: our sales rep, Kevin Mapes Made a huge error when he sold us our 2 $669 iPhones. He even admitted his mistake but said there was nothing he could do to fix it. His manager, Maya Carrillo, wouldn't speak with us or even come out of the back room when we were in-store (after she knew of the problem). We were told to deal w/Kevin, who again said there was nothing he could do! Mind you this took place over 5 days of back and forth. After talking to A real manager, Jennifer, at Customer Care on-line, our problem was resolved in a matter of minutes! I asked Jennifer about how the retail store handled us and she was surprised, as the store did have authority to make things right. I asked her to fill out a Retail Feedback form and to include the fact that the District Manager, Dave Lopez (who will not let employees give out his name, work phone # or a work email!!) didn't give us a call-back either. I'm not saying don't deal with T-Mobile, I'm just suggesting you don't ever want to deal w/the Tehachapi store. (Though kudos to Trayvon, who tried hard to help, he just couldn't do anything at his level). Not a very good business model and Maya Carrillo doesn't know jack about customer service!
