The cable and internet companies don't even lock you in that long. And they craftily put the Early Termination clause on one contract and the Length of Contract on another. You have to pay thousand of dollars to purchase phones and then the monthly fee is pretty expensive in comparison to a land line. Then when I would call monthly to report calls being dropped or static all over the line - they would always blame the internet connection (which mine is 200/200 with a QoS and could stream video from Hulu/Netflix no problem). I love VoIP but I would recommend looking elsewhere for similar or better service at a better price. I've switched and I'm having none of the issues I had before at less cost per month.

We had a working Mitel SX 200 before they came. We had voicemail, full services and complete integration with all our other systems. I wanted to upgrade and get out this 20 year old tech. I told them the min. was what we have now. I walked through it all with them. The new owner - yes yes yes No problem we do this all the time. Voicemail - Did not work after install, they said we had to purchase more licenses. Keep in mind we had a full voicemail system before them Many rooms down for weeks. Either they ordered the wrong parts or said the cable was bad - Again worked before they came. One of rooms still has no dial tone - it did before they showed up 3 months ago. 911 Service did not work for about a month or so. I sent many emails that just fell on def ears about this. 711 - This is the number a def person would dial to use the TTY phone. they never programmed it!!! I can go on and on about the mired of issues we have with them I kept all of our communications and documentation as I can tell where this is going to end up. The new owner - His great defense is - "I have been in anther country for two months and new nothing about this. We went over an above for you".. When I read this - I turned multiple colors.
