So yesterday on 7/17/25 around 1pm my dad walked into this store location in west 77th street to ask some question in regards of opening up a line. He was approached by a petite Asian representative who was EXTREMELY rude from the first engagement, very Dismissive, not friendly and Passive Aggressive. I use to lovely this location but that last experience made me rethink to ever come here. Please rehire new people that actually like there jobs and want to assist to provide good quality service. I can't seem understand how someone can be that extremely rude to an elderly man, especially when my dad walked 16 BLOCKS just to be assist in this specific store only to be treated like a piece of trash by this petite Asian representative. Unexceptable! Rude for no reason from the first engagement. What a great experience from the staff and manager at this T-mobile location! I initially went to a few t-mobile stores close to home to return my old iPhone but they all had difficulty and were hesitant to help me. They told me to go to another location because their system was down, or that the person who does Sprint customers do not work at the location, etc. My husband and I had to return our phones and the manager, Fred was so helpful! He went above and beyond to help us return our old iPhones and also helped us set up our new phones under a T mobile SIM card. He was professional, courteous and patient. The other staff at the store was friendly and they all worked really well as a team. My husband had a few questions about the T-mobile TV plan and the assistant manager showed and explained to him the different types of plans available. I honestly had a great experience here at this location. Even if it is a commute for me to come to the UWS, it's the best customer service I've experienced at any sprint/t mobile store. Ok, so I was the BIGGEST pain for every staff person there today but they saved my behind. I would specifically like to thank Fred, Jackie, and Jose! The sales staff don't have a clue about the simple stuff, that is to say customer service. They don't smile, they don't say hello, they don't care about you, and they don't care about their jobs. Every time I have had to go in there I have a bad experience and I'm a patient fella. Every transaction has taken twice as long as it should -- they move like molasses in December. We have worked with multiple staff members here and they have all been superb. Switched from Verizon a few months ago and are very impressed with how knowledgeable the staff here is. They go above and beyond to help you find the best package and will even help you with any tips and tricks to save even more money. So happy to have switched from Verizon, where you were better off Googling answers to your questions than going to the store. Yes there can be long waits, but it is a small store and when it is your turn to be helped they will really take their time with you. I'm not going to lie, the upgrade process to the iPhone 7 was a nightmare. I called at 3am the day of release, was on the phone for an hour, was told I had to go into a store, which also took over and hour, and finally I had to call again to complete the process. But through it all, even during the retention process ( I was seriously planning on going to another provider) everyone was extremely nice and doing everything they possible could to help. WOW this place is really NOT NICE. Wanted to switch my service from verizon and the sales staff were so unprofessional that I walked out. I waited for an agent and then Elizabeth ( whom I learned later her name) was looking out the window and said "next can I help you" How engaging and caring!!! That was my first turn off. When I got her attention and said I would appreciate you looking at me and somewhat caring about my needs, she sad what's your question. I said " can you.. and before I got another word out she said Yes. I stopped short and said you don't even know what I want but you said yes. That's disrespectful and unprofessional. Here is where, the decision to stay with verizon is so clear. I called the 800 number to speak to a manager about my experience at the store, They are a seperate company and have no management that can help me. Said I had to call store. So I did. The phone rang for over 15 minutes with no reply at 9.30 am. I tried again and got same result. I just got thru and asked for the field manager. No one had his contact information except the store manager. I was told he comes in at 3Pm each day. I won't be calling him. This is clearly not what I want nor will I put up with these bad service issues. I can only see what I will get if I switch. So I will gladly pay more with verizon knowing that when I have a question it will be dealt with professionally. PS i would have given a 0 rating but this was the lowest. read more

Horrible Tmobile experience! 3 associates to man the store with a longggg line of customers. I waited 2.5 hours to get service. I'm writing this in the store as I wait, I'm pissed. I just got off work and i shouldnt have to wait this long. RIDICULOUS. This is worse than the doctors office. Luis L spent wayyyyyy too long on a new contract customer, almost 3 hours, and he didn't acknowledge other customers in store while he schmoozed his new customers. Roland is tired, just tired of it all. New guy Jonathan was most apologetic and helpful than the other 2. I know this sounds bad on them, but to their defense, this store is way understaffed and the frustration was shared amongst the customers and associates. There were elders that was waiting to pay for their bill waiting for 2 hours too! This is a high traffic area, 3 associates did not suffice! I believe the under staffing is a Tmobile issue... I am switching to AT&T. Heres why. I have been a T-Mobile customer for 12 years. Over the past year I have been using the Samsung Galaxy 2. The phone does not work well and constantly breaks down. Even worse, when T-Mobile sends me a replacement phone (I pay for insurance) they send me another Galaxy 2 that either comes defective, or breaks within weeks of sending it to me. In the past 6 months, I have received at least 6 replacement phones, and each phone they have sent me I had to send back due to problems such as defective screens, defective power switches, defective speakers, defective microphones, etc ... The most recent replacement they sent me stopped working last night. It simply shut off, and now will not go back on. (When I try to turn it on, it just keeps vibrating, but it will not turn on) I have asked T-Mobile dozens of times to send me the Galaxy 3 or 4 so that I can have a phone that works. Their consistent reply is that I am covered only for the Galaxy 2. I asked them again last night "Please send me a different phone." They refuse. I now have no phone to use until I can get over to AT&T this week. We all know how cell phones have become integrated into our modern lives. I now have no access to email, texts, phone calls, as well as important stock trades that I follow via an app. This is a huge inconvenience. T-Mobile is a large enough company that can afford to send me a different phone if they wanted to keep me - a customer of 12 years - happy. They have failed to keep me happy, instead making me question why I have stayed with them for so long. Now they are going to lose a customer. They do not seem to understand that the cost to them to send me a different phone is negligible compared to the cost of service that I pay each month. Over the past 12 years, as a reliable customer, I must have spent well over $9,000 for service. They will now lose this money simply because they are too cheap to send me a working phone. read more

So I don't usually write reviews for businesses other than food related! I entered the upper west side Tmobile location and was promptly greeted with a smile and was given a pad to sign my name. I waited no more than 5 minutes and Manny was my rep assisting me. He was courteous, proficient and very knowledgable about the products. I explained to him my phone was defective and doesn't turn on even though it's 100 percent charged. He took a look at my phone and attempted to troubleshoot it and saw the horrible outcome. I had the option to get another phone and have it shipped to my home or upgrade with no money down. I chose to upgrade. Throughout this process he made me feel comfortable and not pressured to buy anything I didn't want, which I loved. Even though it took forever to sync my data to my new phone because my old phone wouldn't stay on his performance was Great! Would I recommend this location in the future, Yes.
