Terrible service, constant phone calls harassing me. The clerk was very rude to me and discriminated against the customers.

So when you want to deal with the already masochist prospect of buying an overpriced phone produced by Asian slave labor, you at least can get the happy ending of a employed and unoppressed American dealer setting the thing up for you without complications. That's what happend here. I actually looked at another review sight, and this one was the closest to the Bronx with a score near the 5 mark. I took the cab to venture down and was greeted by Kusum, who wore a easy smile that seemed to make the long Lyft ride worth it. I had purchased my phone outright from Samsung since Verizon didn't carry the 1tb version. She didn't believe me at first, then saw for herself that the 518gb version was the highest Verizon offers online. She promptly set up the sim card for me, realizing that the 5G card would be needed. I purchased a temporary case for the phone as well, since they didn't carry an Otter Box for the Samsung Ultra. Overall, I plan to make another trip here in two years when my Samsung "mysteriously" starts to come apart. read more

Out of sheer desperation and the proximity of this place to my work, I have come to this store twice in the past two years. Both experiences have been absolutely terrible. The first time, I talked to a female sales associate who looked so supremely bored the whole time, I actually felt a little apologetic for trying to talk her out of her stupor. She looked at my account and said that though I was not eligible for any discounts (I have a decent track record at Verizon) she would deign to give me a $25 dollar discount out of pocket. I was grateful and said that I would come back the next day to finalize the transaction as I had to return to work. Interestingly enough, when I called Verizon for another billing matter that night, I brought up the discount eligibility to ask when I could qualify. The customer service rep on the line tells me that I already do. Shady. I took the time to go to another Verizon store because I did not appreciate being lied to as a customer. Unfortunately due to my phone dying on the floor of my work place two years later, I had to run to this store again. This time I chose to speak to a male sales associate instead of the same girl who I had talked to two years earlier. I get my new phone, he promises me a $25 discount off the cost of the phone. It takes HOURS to move the contact list from one phone to another despite having promised 10 minutes. He also tries to sell some of the cheap accessories in the back, offering me consecutive higher discounts each time I refuse. This only makes me think that the margins on these accessories are outrageous. I go home and find out the $25 discount has not been applied to the cost of the phone. I'm also slapped with a $30 dollar upgrade fee that no one ever told me about. I end up haggling with Verizon Wireless Customer service for 30 minutes and only receive $15 dollars off the upgrade fee. Let's not kid ourselves, no one thinks Verizon Wireless or any of these distributors have good customer service. But in the very least I would appreciate being told the truth, upfront about fees and wait times. Please, please do not go to this place. I have learned my lesson in lost time and lost money that despite the convenience, any establishment that clearly thinks customers are there to take for a ride is NOT worth it. read more

These guys seem really helpful and personable. I mean, I'm pretty sure that was Michio Kaku in there with his wife, and she seemed to be a happy customer, so how could I go wrong? Their prices were a couple dollars more than some other places, but customer service is worth a premium, right? Unfortunately, the salesman I dealt with ended up being a shyster. He set me up with a payment plan for a $760 iPhone 6s. When I looked at my receipt, I saw that he charged me $850 for the phone! They tried to pocket the extra $90, and also charged me tax on $850. The store refunded me, but only after the salesman went around in circles with me trying to justify the overcharge. The manager was very courteous and prompt about processing my refund, but the damage is done. This could be a great store, because the people are friendly--except for the small thing where they try to rip you off. Don't do it, people. Not sure how this business thinks shenanigans like this are a good idea in the long run. read more

Where to begin...the manager here (Ralph) is a con artist. He will give you a price, have you pay, then never give you a receipt to see the items because he's adding up things you havent ordered (he added $99 to my bill for AirPods which I did not request). I had to go in early the next day, ask the associate for a receipt and then demand a refund which he only gave partially to me. I've open an investigation on him via Verizon and hopefully they can get to the bottom of this. Go to an official corporate Verizon store or apple or BestBuy - do not go through these random retailers. They'll only screw you over. read more

I popped into this Verizon Wireless location primarily to get information for a friend of mine, who wanted to switch from an iPhone 5s (!) to a 21st century Android. How unbelievably fortunate I was to be helped by Tulsi, when I visited this store. She was *extremely* knowledgeable in all the phones and -- even better -- the phone plans. In the end, she called my friend in order to get him the best deal, reduced his monthly plan with even more coverage and fewer costs, and FedEx'd the phone to my friend across the country within 24 hours. Tulsi provided exceptional customer service, exhibited confidence and professionalism, and aimed to ensure myself and my friend were happy with the order. If you patronize this location, please ask for "Tulsi". You will not be disappointed! read more

Crooks. Rude. Unhelpful. Walked in, ignored, then had a retailer talking at the desk to another customer, to be asked by the sales person if I needed help- aka they were trying to have us both talk over each other. I had come in to activate a phone (phone was previously stolen- stressful enough) Verizon had told me the activation would be free After clicking around on a computer for what seemed like forever, the man told me I needed to pay him $30 to activate the phone. It didn't seem right. Instead of being helpful, he told me I should go to a "real verizon store" (i guess so) When I called Verizon, they gave me a number to activate the Sim card- FOR FREE These guys will try to charge you for free services. Walked in here with a question about switching from at&t to verizon and the woman behind the counter was in and all-out, crazy-a$$ shouting match with some guy. I am guessing they were family or something, but whoa -- way to make a bad first impression. I looked at them, they barely even acknowledged me, and I did a 180 and walked out. How can they possibly presume to offer any type of service if you are this unprofessional? I'm actually amazed Verizon even continues to work with this place. Horrendous. I have never been as compelled to write a one star review as I am right now. I went here to upgrade from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5. The customer service was "friendly" and "attentive" (I use quotes because these qualities were mere side dishes to heaping portions obnoxious behavior). After trying several times to sell me a case i already told him I didn't want ("what's your favorite color?" "I'll give you 25% off") Kyle told me he didn't need me to stay in the store while he transferred my files and to come back in 20 minutes. When I did, I sat there for another 20 minutes before Kyle informed me that since my old phone had not been responding to the back up, they had PLUGGED THE PHONE INTO ONE OF THE COMPUTERS. This is absurd in and of itself, because now they could have all my data, pictures, etc on that computer. However, that little maneuver wiped my old phone. Returned it to factory settings. Kyle asked me if I had iCloud and was relieved that I did, because it took the heat off of his screw up. While he joyfully finished backing up my phone, he informed me that this had happened with the last four iPhone 4s that he tried to back up and implied it was a conspiracy for apple to get everyone to switch to an iphone 5. First of all, what??, second of all, THEN WHY wouldn't you inform your customer, HEY ALL YOUR DATA MIGHT GET WIPED. In the end I lost all my photos because iCloud had stopped doing automatic back ups about a year ago. 2,000 photos gone because of these idiots. When I went to the apple store guy at the Genius Bar was horrified that they even tried to back up any of my information with a computer and said it was legally dubious and anyone with a working knowledge of iPhones should know they don't automatically wipe themselves. I know cell phone purchasing is rarely pleasant but this place is the Stratton Oakmont of "authorized" Verizon retailers. I can vouch for the other reviews. They up-sell you on extra products and make up prices to make it look like you're getting a deal on an upgrade or exchanging your old phone. About a month after purchasing, I returned with a software issue with the phone and the screen protector they had sold me was also starting to come off. The store manager was nasty and dishonest about what the problem was claiming it was my fault for not properly updating the phone and that I must have dropped it causing the screen protector to peel off. Clearly not the case. This is not the place to trust with a big purchase. read more

I wish I had checked yelp before upgrading here. Now, I write to spare anyone else the incompetence of the clerks and frustration I endured. I had always come to this Verizon licensee for my new phone/upgrades in the past as it's very close to my home and I had always received good service. That's now history. I arrived knowing I wanted a new iPhone 5s. First, I was told there would be a $30 charge for purchasing the phone in the store instead of online. I asked why and was told simply because everyone else charges it, so they can charge it, too. I expected service for the $30, but the service was terrible, horrible. I was asked whether I'd like to trade in my 4s for $100. After asking numerous questions, I concluded that I would not get $100 toward my new phone, only for accessories (which are horrendously overpriced, I later learned.) I was assured that everything on my old phone would be transferred to my new phone. Everything. EVERYTHING. I have since discovered that my keyboard shortcuts were not transferred to my new phone, that my apps were in the cloud and I had to re-download them, and that the screen protector ($40) attached by the clerk will carry his fingerprint for time immemorial. Returning to the store to remedy the problems was useless and frustrating. First, I was told my keyboard shortcuts HAD to be there because the new phone is an exact copy. Oh, really? Then, you find them for me. Then, I was told they were gone forever ("I will key them in for you if you tell them to me." What? WHAT?) Then I was told there was nothing that could be done about the clerk's fingerprint under my screen protector, but I could buy another one at a 20 percent discount. I walked out proclaiming that I am not a happy customer and would report the poor service to Verizon. I am reporting it here and will turn to Verizon next. (OK, everyone. Stop laughing.) I wanted to come on here to say I had a good experience switching carriers from AT&T to Verizon at this store and also upgrading my phone to the iPhone 5S. I didn't check reviews before going in there or I would not have even walked in but I have to say that I felt Junior took good care of me. He did push a few upsells but I wouldn't hold that against a salesperson. read more

I was having trouble with my email connection on my Samsung 7 which mysteriously disappeared overnight. Even though I was not a paying customer, Aarti looked at it, and in 5 minutes my connection was restored along with an explanation about why it happened in the first place. Great customer service! My new I phone was ordered and delivered promptly. Aarti, the sweetest salesperson, was so patient and helped me transfer all my data and contacts.
