We bought new phones and had to go in to get our sim cards exchanged. The gal behind the counter, Shantell, was more than happy to do it, and let us know she could do it for free. She then noticed we were on an old plan, and asked if we were interested in seeing if she could do something better for us. Stopped by here on a Friday evening to replace my stupid broken Blackberry with a shiny new toy (thank you, plan upgrade). Was helped by Randall (sp?), who seemingly knew everything about Droids and told me he actually trains T-Mobile employees for other New Orleans stores. Super awesome. Had to update my review because the first time I visited the guy really didn't understand what I needed and essentially lied to me. However when I returned to fix the issue the staff was super friendly - but for some reason they kept handing me off to each other. my phone was stolen. the person who took it lives in fear for a twenty dollar crack hit. this is not about him. it is about getting another phone. i have insurance. i have never had to ask what my deductible is. until now. after visiting t-mobile stores coast to coast in the past six years, i found one staffed by people who would rather yak and laugh in the corner than help a customer. i found those who have no sense of customer service, who selfishly and foolishly believe that their lazy and careless work ethic would not come back to them. "randall" "helped" me. i was all smiles, having nothing but great experiences in t-mobile shops from phoenix to knoxville, austin to metairie. ahh... i wished for michael in austin today. at a certain point, after i voiced loudly my displeasure with how my issue was being handled, i was on the phone after demanding one. randy told me to grab one on the wall. after finding one that was live, i was fighting the cord and giant lock. i demanded a real phone and threw the show phone against the wall. yes. i was pissed off. after randy opened a drawer with a land line, i dialed customer support. i was quickly connected to an american - not an overseas script reader - named vanessa from the t-mobile "customer loyalty department," who, after listening to my story, asked to speak with the store rep after a few minutes. i asked the children laughing in the corner, "who wants to take this call?" "randall" took it because nobody else would. i smirked after the first sentence he spoke. after two minutes he tersely handed the phone back to me. vanessa immediately apologized, saying "you were right," and gave me what i was told would cost $130 for nothing. and delivery in 24 hours. and i did not need to talk to the insurance division, who had disconnected me twice already. is this what america has become? yes. and we are blessed by those like vanessa who care to help a customer in need. that is how bad this store is. and randy, it is not "for reals," it is "do your job. for real. dipshit." i hope to be there to mock you when you are homeless. yeah, i have a dollar, and i'm going to give it to a stripper. i could go on with my story, but it does not matter. if these lazy kids have to think out of the box, you will get "it's our policy" and "keep your voice down, for reals." read more

Other day I killed my phone so I was forced to replace it. I've been a T-Mobile customer since 2006 when I moved to Europe. Rarely do I need a T-Mobile store. Looked up the closest one to my abode. Low an behold, there's one by the Wal-Mart on Tchoup. Wade helped me. Everything would have gone smoothly if it weren't for my funky addy. I've ran into this problem before so it wasn't there fault. Wade and the rest of the crew took it stride and kept smiling. It's nice to be able to have great customer service when you're forced to do something you don't wanna do and spend money you don't wanna spend. We were here during our vacation and my sister wanted to get internet SIM card. We knew it could be a bit difficult since we are from Europe and so we were ready for some complications. The guy at the desk seemed helpfulness, tried to activate the sim, didn't work, tried something else, didn't work either and then he phoned someone - after a while with a phone at his ear, we started to be a bit suspicious - because apart from greeting his friend, he didn't say a damn word to the phone and neither did the "someone" on the other side. We were standing there for about 10 minutes and after that time we were damn sure he wasn't even calling anyone! Can't still believe it. What a horrible experience. read more

I Came into this T-mobile store to upgrade my phone. Nicholas and Jessica went beyond the call of duty to make sure my transition was smooth and that I would have no problems while I was switching . They transferred all my information to the new device and also put the case and screen protector on my new phone. They were very professional and I highly recommend this T-mobile. This place is weird. Their behaviour is suspicious. I went there because my phone died on its own to use warranty that i had paid for. After spending an hour at the store looking my info up etc...i was told i couldnt get another phone and would have to buy one. Its didnt make sense. read more

I got juiced. Came in for a new phone and asked if they had any promotions. The girl told me that if I got an iPhone then I would get a free case and an Apple watch. So I asked her for free of charge? And she said yea. All I had to do was pay for 15$ service for the watch per month which I thought was cool. So I said ok. Signed off and went on my way. I've been paying for my plan monthly around 250$ which I thought was quite high but I never questioned it because I figured I had my phone on a payment plan and the extra services which was causing the high price. Well I lost my watch and went onto my tried to make a claim and i come to find out she only put insurance on my phone ( I asked for insurance on both) and also everything she told me was a lie. I was paying monthly for the phone, the watch, and all the "free" accessories I was told the phone came with. So just be careful of what these people tell you. Now I'm stuck with a high phone bill and am still paying $250 remaining left on my watch because all she wanted to do was make a nice little commission off of me. read more

The District Manager Claudia scammed me by offering an "in-store, one day only promotion" with no verification other than having "her word" that she would add the promotion to the account. Because I needed a new phone, as my old one was cracked and it did not have insurance, I took the offer: upgrading to the iPhone 7 Plus and receiving two "FREE" Sync Up Drive devices and a $100 credit on the account. I asked very specifically what charges or strings were attached and she wrote everything down for me. After I signed on the signature pad and paid, the print out showed completely different information - including an activation fee and $49 each for the Sycn Up devices. I had no car and never wanted these devices and was told again that it was completely free of charge but i ended up getting them added as EIP devices AS WELL AS monthly data service fees on each. I called every single week asking why I had not received my credit and requesting to return my Sync Up devices but they refused to allow a return as "the store would be charged". To these problems they stated each and every time that I called that the credit was added (and the next week I called they said it was not, but THEN it would be added) and to not return the devices, that they would just add an additional $100 credit. I spoke with the District Manager directly and she assured me of everything every time and it has now been 2 months with no credits added and me coming out of pocket for devices and services I never wanted. Lucking T-Mobile Loyalty Customer Care allowed me to return the devices and filed a complaint against the store. I have filed a complaint against this store and manager with the BBB. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!! Just got back from spending most of my morning at this store waiting to be served--there were only 2 customers and 2 sales reps who spent over an hour and a half making calls, trying to figure out how to service the customers. After waiting --telling them I was there to purchase 2 phones --the customers turned to me an rolled their eyes and apologized that it was taking forever as they felt it was ridiculous. My husband & I walked out when I realized that the staff had no idea what they were doing and spent most of the time on the phone--and that if there would finally be able to wait on us it would probably take a few hours just to complete a transaction.
