I had to call the store 4x's (between 945am-10am) before I got an answer on the 4th attempt. The previous attempts, someone picked up the phone and then quickly hung up because I could hear the background noise in the store. While I understand needing to assist customers in the store, a customer calling is still a customer that needs assistance. Picking up the phone & hanging up quickly does not negate the fact that I still needed assistance. It's also rude. Hopefully another customer does not experience this over the phone when they are trying to get assistance.

I had the utilities disconnected on the 14th yet I'm being charged 398 dollars for utilities I didn't even use! I have never had this problem and my utility bills are always paid on time. I'd like to have them make the necessary review and adjustment. Even with 187 and 82 it doesn't add up to 398. Something is going on and they need to stop scamming people and raising their bills. I don't even use 398 dollars worth of electricity, the sewer and water appear fine. Read my meter two times in three weeks which is suspicious. Update; I got my bill fixed and I paid it once JEA confirmed it. So just watch your bills and make sure you are paying what you actually owe, not an inflated bill based on a mistake.

I won't say JEA is the worst electric / water provider I've ever had as it's just a tad bit by a little margin better than some of the EMCs I've belonged too; but then again we use to get yearly rebates from the EMCs. With this said let me say bless the linemen and the customer service agents for doing their jobs; I have nothing but respect for them. But when it comes to the leadership of JEA it's time for a change. It's time to sell JEA and privatize it to bring the customers better rates and service.
