I'd recommend Shawn to anyone: his knowledge, efficiency, customer engagement, and outcomes…read moredelivered are outstanding. He's a networking and IT superstar. Costs: If you are upgrading your home network or other capability, and need to buy new/more gear, Shawn doesn't charge a markup on the equipment. In fact, once he's designed your solution he will provide you with links to the exact products required and let you buy them directly from the vendors if desired. Or he'll buy them himself and present you with the receipts. Hourly rate: With the skills Shawn possesses, his hourly rate is substantial. And it should be. However, you can still bring your project in at a very reasonable cost PROVIDED you can be a smart customer. By this I mean you must be clear on the capabilities you want to achieve--or at least be able to listen to Shawn describe what's possible and then make rapid decisions. If instead you want a lot of customer education, Shawn can do that too because he knows an immense amount about IT and can communicate effectively. However, it's a bit like paying for a neurosurgeon to teach you about the types of aspirin available to treat a headache. That doesn't make sense; get a nurse instead! In my case, my wife and I work from the house. My goals were to increase the reliability of our home network. We wanted better maintainability (so when the internet goes down I can rapidly identify the problem and fix it). We wanted better network security. I wanted to add a home security camera because of problems with car prowls, etc. And finally, I wanted to move our networking gear out of our super-hot furnace room to a cooler and cleaner location. This was a lot. Other vendors had previously failed to come up with an affordable solution--or any solution at all. Shawn showed us how to do it for a very reasonable sum. Once we had a plan, I was able to control costs by getting a carpenter friend to open up the wall and pull wires through to the new location for the gear. Shawn also kept costs down by allowing me to provide extra hands as he mounted gear on the wall, connected all of our wireless access points to the new console, etc. These steps all require two people. Shawn was willing to let me help and he even maintained a high level of wit and good-natured ribbing throoughout the long day of work. In sum: great outcome, great satisfaction, great price. Photo: New network system including: cable modem; device handling routing, security, network management, and recording of camera images; 24-port switch; and backup power supply.

They were well prepared so that we had no down time for patient care. All software and hardware were updated and coordinated. we are truly grateful for their professionalism, efficiency and care. Sean has my highest recommendation without reservation!

Came here the other day with my elderly friend who didn't know how to set up his voicemail. An employee got him set up and we were out the door in seven minutes. While I was waiting for him, I had two employees check in on me to make sure I was being served. That's excellent customer service!

As the rep was transferring info from her old phone to new phone, another rep took the company ipad to assist another customer. After a few more minutes, I overhear conversation between that rep and new customer. Rep having trouble explaining to customer that what customer claims does not match account. They went over the items on the account and costs. I soon realized these two were viewing MY account and discussing terms of what my account consists of. Obviously, the rep had not verified account info with the new customer nor had he cleared the ipad and accessed that customer's account. Brainless! To top it off, once I got home to review my account, I saw that the rep at the store had added a service plan for wife's new phone--we did not request that. Each encounter with this T-Mobile store (5122 Yelm Hwy SE Suite A, Lacey, WA 98503) is a freakin' nightmare.

Yesterday my local access account with Rainier Connect went down; all I got was a 404 page with a…read moredog on it. I called Rainier Connect and after a couple of minutes talking with a technician he said since my wireless company was Century Link he couldn't help me and to call another number. I simply thought it was another department within Rainier Connect; wrong. It turned out to be Whisler Communications. Shane answered the phone and after I explained my problem; even though I am not a customer, he took over my computer and fixed the problem. Shane was professional, courteous, friendly, and in 10 minutes I was back up and running. I live in Scottsdale, AZ and will probably never use his company, but I would highly recommend his services to anybody who lives in his operating area. He picked up the phone, no transfers to somebody else and solved my issue. Thank you Shane for a job well done. Bob gooding@localaccess.com

I purchased a new truck and wanted to have a Motorola authorized dealer and installer to do the…read moretask of a complete XPR5550 remote unit and roof mounted NMO antenna. After just a couple emails with Dave, I had the installation scheduled and a corporate account setup. The day-of I was greeted with a smile as the door was opened for me and the installer was ready to go after doing a quick briefing of what and where I wanted the components. My plan was to wait out the install in one of the chairs by the front door and take care of my daily company paperwork. I was invited to use a table and chair with their guest wireless connection without hesitation. The hospitality and service before the day-of install was 5-star alone. The installation took the projected duration and the quality of install exceeded my expectations. The power cable was loomed and run parallel to a OEM bundle and sealed at the firewall with a proper fuse in place. All cables were tucked in and run under the carpet and panels with no exposure. Antenna mount was in a harmonic of the UHF frequency range from the rear of the cab for a good ground-plane and low SWR. The x-ceiver was mounted under the rear seat in the storage compartment in a location allowing for maximum use of the area and well secured with bolt and nut (not just screwed into a panel). I am very pleased Day Wireless installed equipment they did not sell to me, even though it is one they carry. My career as a firefighter, I have seen some outstanding installations in our apparatus and some not so great. I have been a HAM for 22 years and seen the same range of quality of installations. The quality in my truck from Day is definitely at the top of the list. I will return for additional installations and refer to others.

Over the years, as someone whose hobby is two way radio, I have installed a lot of two way radios…read moreinto a lot of vehicles. But as the years have passed two things have happened. The first of which is the fact that modern cars have become much more complicated and less forgiving to work on. For example my car has 10 airbags. If you get thing wrong working around an airbag you can either accidentally set it off, or, much worse, if you run a cable in the way of the airbag, it can end up killing someone rather than saving their life. The second thing that has happened over the years is that I have become older, fatter and lazier. So when I recently bought a used Chevy Volt, and wanted to install my two way radio, I chose to outsource the job. First I asked for an estimate from a auto stereo shop. That place quoted me a price that was WAY out of line, and at the same time inadvertently made it clear to me that they had no idea of how to install a two way radio and its related antenna. So I decided to go with the pro's. I checked with local law enforcement agencies to see who did their installs. I learned that it was Day Wireless Systems. I called Day's Lacey shop and described what I needed done. They gave me a quote which was less than a 1/4th of what that auto stereo shop wanted to charge me, and Day's people install 2 way radios for a living. I had no doubt that they would do it right. And do it right they did. It was a beautiful job. My hat is off to Dave, who did the install. It is awesome work. Thanks Dave, and thanks to the rest of the staff at Day Wireless System in Lacey!
