We have worked with Dean for many years. He is a great wealth of knowledge, works efficiently, and…read moreis always able to help out. We have an older Merlin system which he had installed and then moved when we did. He is always available and a pleasure to work with.

After having a 3 week nightmare switching from one phone/internet carrier to another, I reluctantly…read morestated thinking we may have to purchase another phone system. The new phone carrier said "all good" from their end; the phone guy they sent our for the install said everything "should be working fine"; heck, we even had some big telecom company technician here for 2 hours saying something in the system must be burnt out and their solution was to sell us a $5,000 new phone system! Yikes! This morning I stumbled onto Gallo Telecom's website. I spoke with Dean and in less than 5 minutes I knew this guy could figure it out. I got him some information he needed; he tested our phone lines remotely and after about 15 minutes for reasons known to only Dean and God, he figured out the new phone carrier programmed our lines incorrectly!!!! I called the carrier; told them exactly what Dean told me to say; and like magic, the system is working perfectly! Absolutely and without the slightest hesitation, Dean is my hero. If needed, I would call him again in less than a minute and suggest to anyone else who needs a Guru in the Telecom World to do the same. He made it simple, effortless and as uncomplicated as it could possibly be for the lay person. My hat is off to you Dean and everyone else at Gallo Telecom. AT&T has finally done it. They have owed me credits for years. They just now raised their rates…read moreon regular telephone line to over $400 per line. I got a bill for 2 lines for $1000 with all the fee's. A granite guy called and they were able to save me a ton of money. Had a line go down, they answered right away, turns out it was another At&T line we didn't move over, AT&T took me on hold for 4 hours just to get someone that could try to help. The Granite team was great. Easy and great communication.

My experience with Granite was not positive to say the least…read more Their good quality is that the phone system was reliable but, in today's world that is expected and the bare minimum. We landed with Granite due to reliability issues with another vendor. I had my COO handle most of the set up but, I do know he felt a lack of support from the start- having to involve our IT company to get things moving. When it came time to make a simple change (taking away a "choose 1 for this and 2 for that") it took me multiple phone calls and hours on the phone. I'm sure some of this could have been repaired but, Granite remained to me a faceless entity that I did business with- to say there was zero relationship would be fair. Next came the opportunity for me to partner with Rilla to help my advisors' phone skills. I went shopping for a phone system that could integrate Rilla and found for a similar system (even down to both systems using Poly phones) I was paying Granite $700 more a month than other companies charged. Needless to say the decision was made to move on from Granite. We submitted our cancellation and port request in November of 2025 and arranged everything to be switched over at 10am December 1st (a Monday). At no point did we get any warning as to policies because if we had I would've switched and paid my IT company weekend rates and saved money. Granite charged us the entire month of December for services stopped at 10am on the first day of the month. They then tried to charge us for January-April which took me several emails and calls back and forth over those months and after trying to get things resolved. We would get answers like "I see your cancellation, I'm not sure why you were charged" and then not get answers for weeks. When I asked for managers or supervisors I got another non decision maker and no one that could explain anything. Finally, their review board stated that they would take away all but December to which I stated I still wasnt pleased, wanted to speak to someone, and never got a call or email (left them both my private number and email). I also stated that I was requesting written notice that by paying December's bill that would guarantee the closing of my account. I still have not gotten that. Overall, they are higher priced than most with exceptionally awful communication and follow up skills. I would say run from this company but, you still wouldn't get away fast enough- so strap on a jet pack and get away at supersonic speeds!
