I visited this Verizon store with my friends/GDTV boss to upgrade the mifis we use for broadcasting and my boss's personal phone. My boss called Verizon before we left and confirmed that we were to receive the upgrades free. When we arrived at the store, the employees at first told us that we could not get the updates free. When pressed, they admitted that we could get them free online, but not in the store. We informed them we would just do it online and headed for the door and suddenly they were able to do the transaction in the store. Hmmm... The employee who helped us was somewhat knowledgeable about the phones and helped us process everything and the store was clean and the merchandise nicely displayed. No big WOW, but they got he job done.

A problem that I originally did not have. The screen now has a border around it and is not operating correctly for a Samsung 22 ultra. Upon calling them they admit to not informing us that they were using aftermarket parts, saying they assume everyone knows that it's aftermarket parts and said it was no problem for me to pay the difference and get what I expected in the first place. I told them.it was dishonest for them to not inform us upfront that it would not look like the original screen and worse off for them to try to charge us more money to make it right. The workmanship is another issue. The fact that the phone come back with a different issue than it came in with is uncalled for. In the end they offer a refund to put the original (broken) screen back in and wave the service fee to fix the backbplate. In all their shady business practice from the start to the end and poor workmanship is grounds for the 1 start. Beware being swindled by this company.

Because of that, AT&T put me on a 36-month payment plan at $27.78/ month, but they also give me a monthly credit, so the total installment is 0. However, I have discovered that if you want to leave AT&T, you have to pay off the phone as though you did not upgrade or get credit for the old phone. I would consider this false advertising, because it was not a "free" phone upgrade. It is essentially signing a 36-month contract, even though they advertise "no contracts required". They also did not say anything about this payment plan at the time of purchase, only after I went back in to discuss the bill.
