Positive word of mouth from friends and family lead me to Chinatown Mobile to fix my cracked phone…read morescreen. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and had to drop it off and return since it was busy and took about 2 hours. The tech was the only one running the store and said that it would be faster on weekdays. Screen was fixed for $50, which is very competively priced. One thing to note that this is Chinatown, and there is no proper lines, so I would recommend walking up and getting acknowledged as next in line when you walk in. While I was waiting patiently for some ladies being assisted, several people came in, and basically cut in, which was annoying. Other than that, great job as phone looks and works like new again!

AVOID THIS PLACE! Very poor customer service and dishonest business practices…read more My friends and I got a family plan here a couple of years ago when we first moved to Chicago. At the time the carrier had a promotion that we could get $70 each cash back after signing up for the plan. When we waited for a couple of months and didn't see any cash back we went back there to inquire. They told us to leave our invoice there and come back later for the credit to be processed. When we went back unfortunately this place was closed for the day. Therefore we went back another day but they just downright denied having anything to do with us. When I tried to explain the situation (I talk a little bit fast) this middle aged guy there just MOCKED me, and blabbered gibberish in a overly dramatic faux-female high pitched voice instead of helping. How can you work in the service industry and be so downright RUDE?? I later called the store multiple times asking to speak to the manager so I could file a complaint against this guy, but of course they never cared. From that point on I only go to actual branches of the carrier instead of a middleman like this. While they are also difficult to deal with, at least those people are "legit" and are slightly nicer. I wish more people could be warned about this place, but sadly I feel like most of their customers are very Chinese and thus probably won't look at my review.

The place was so clean and the moment I walked in he was very friendly ! Already told my friend who needs her laptop repaired ! And on a side note I went earlier to iBrokeuFix repair shop on the south loop and there was 5 people waiting in line... the shop was small and crowded and dirty with boxes on the floor and he was not fixing on the spot but only assessing and adding a bill for what it would be, each was over 200 ... left immediately and found this place on Yelp.... Ahhh great way to start the New Year!!

Such a nightmare of an experience - avoid at all costs. My review will probably get buried under…read moretheir fake positive ones, but this place is such a scam. Went in with a broken screen on an iPhone 15 pro. This place advertised $200 to fix it - nice! Found out when I got there, that meant "aftermarket screen" not a genuine apple one (those are $450, way higher than going to the apple store for $330). But okay, he flashed me his and said it was an aftermarket one that worked, so I went with that. When I picked it up, it looked... ok? But their credit card reader was "broken" so they required that I pay via zelle, cashapp or apple cash - convenient payment options so that you can't call your credit card company to reverse transactions for their crappy products and services. Less than 48 hours later, the screen was coming off the phone and light was leaking out the top and sides, it was heating up a lot and after comparison with my partner's iPhone, I noticed it was much dimmer and more green/blue than the real apple screen. I went in today to get a refund, literally less than 2 days after getting it "fixed." The guy there agreed that it was not working and that the screen was coming off, but said they'd thrown away my old screen (so that I couldn't switch it out on the spot, convenient) and without taking the (broken, crappy) screen off my phone, they couldn't even give me a PARTIAL refund. Needless to say, I didn't want to walk out of the shop with a screenless phone and a partial refund. They also offered to put a genuine apple screen on if I paid another $250 on top of the $210 I'd already paid and waited a few days for them to order it (MIND YOU - THE APPLE STORE DOES THIS SAME DAY FIX FOR $330). Also wasn't particularly keen on having them do any other work on it, given the shoddy prior work. Pleaded with him for a bit but no luck. But hey, the guy there agreed if I brought back the screen after getting it fixed at the actual apple store, he'd give me a partial refund. He also assured me that apple would give me the (broken, crappy) screen after they put a real one on it. Okay - off to the apple store. But lo! It turns out when you bring apple a phone with a (broken, crappy) aftermarket screen, in order to fix it they require the (broken, crappy) aftermarket screen to be thrown away! No luck getting it back for my partial refund. Almost like the guy knew that was the case when he sent me away... So $330 at Apple plus this scammy place's $210 later I fixed a slightly cracked screen. TL;DR don't go here, they will scam you with their crappy products and no credit card option. No evidence but wouldn't at all be surprised if the positive reviews are fake - obviously not a 4.9 experience.

During all the years I lived in Florida, I also never had any problems with your company. Recently, I moved to Chicago and upgraded my phone. At your store on State Street in Downtown Chicago, I was offered a $60 privacy screen protector, which I agreed to purchase. I have only had the screen protector replaced once, and for approximately two months now, I have been walking around with my phone screen completely damaged, cracked, and looking absolutely terrible. And I sincerely hope that the original screen of my phone has not been damaged in the process. What frustrates me the most, however, is the complete lack of care and customer service at the State Street location. The service is extremely slow, and when I am finally helped, I always receive the exact same answer: "We don't have the screen protector in the store. We'll have it next week." The following week, I get the same answer. The week after that, the exact same answer again. Eventually, one of the employees asked for all of my information and my address so they could ship the screen protector directly to my home. And to this day, I have received absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, I am still walking around with a severely damaged phone screen and a screen protector that should have been replaced months ago. How much longer is this going to continue? I am reaching my limit. If you are unable to resolve such a simple issue, I will pursue my legal rights and will also seriously consider switching to another carrier. Because, at this point, you are simply not delivering what you promised to provide to your customer. And let me make one thing very clear: if my phone's original screen has been damaged as a result of this situation, you will also be held responsible for the corresponding costs. I am completely fed up with this level of disregard and disrespect. I want my privacy screen protector issue resolved TODAY, or I want my money refunded, along with reasonable compensation for the time, inconvenience, and frustration this situation has caused me. Otherwise, I will take the appropriate legal action against your company. I have always been an exemplary customer. I pay on time, I keep my account on autopay, and I consistently fulfill all of my obligations. The absolute minimum I expect from a company of your size is respect, accountability, and for you to actually deliver what you sell to your customers. I sincerely hope this is the last time I ever have to complain about this issue.

I filed a claim with Asurion and had these bozos fix my screen yesterday. They fixed the screen just fine - but they handed me a phone that had no service. I just chalked it up to them toggling airplane mode or something, but after many restarts and multiple attempts to resolve the situation with the suggestions online, no solution has worked. I called these goofies to complain about this fact, informing them that this issue is most likely a hardware issue that THEY caused. Even with my cracked screen, I could send and receive calls. Now, after their "repair," I just traded one issue for an even bigger issue. Whoever answered the phone rudely hung up on me multiple times. After I finally called back for like the fourth time and told the dude "F*** YOU" for repeatedly hanging up on me, now these clowns wanna blow up my phone. Look, I've worked in customer service. I understand how difficult it can be dealing with angry, at times unruly customers. However, the LEAST you can do is show some empathy. The whole point of even having a phone is to call out and receive calls. If I can't do that, it's not a phone. Screw these fuckin clowns!

At Hyde park I was greeted at the door, welcomed in, the entire environment was a shift of professionalism. My sister had no problem doing hers in Lincoln park and actually had their rep offering us help because of the lack of assistance we were getting at our location. At Roosevelt, Yusef, who helped my family, had attitude from the start, walked away multiple times while our process was still unfinished (he didn't want to stand with our group so he'd go hangout with the store manager and other employees and we'd have to call him back over to keep going, it wasn't to help another guest which would have been more understandable than just socializing when he had a customer), and ultimately he could not figure out how to return my phone so I left the store with 2 phones and had to come back the next day. The store manager, who was there both days, and who Yusef kept walking away to chat with, never stepped in to offer any assistance with my family. Between the gossip she was hearing from Yusef, and seeing my family get increasingly distressed after having been there 3 hours, a manager making face might have been a good impression.
